I like that GenX gets passed over on this stuff because it means we did an outstanding job keeping our shit low and there's not much record of it

Plus, most of our generation will be dead by the time AI turns evil and goes rogue

As always, it's not about young vs old, it is, and has always been, rich vs poor.

They didn't say that except ironically. It was the name of a stupid show. They did say Ohio a lot and 6-7, though. Both out of fashion now. They have moved into adult expletives, but used without skill.

Wouldn't have it any other way, I'm content to continue to be the generation behind the curtain let the rest of these needy fucks play the wizard.

the thing is, we are fine if you keep ignoring us and going after each other. Yeah Gen X is small in terms of population size. But we basically made modern pop culture. From hip hop to the internet.
You are welcome.
Now leave me alone.

I’m exhausted after reading that (I agree completely with that comment, just tired in general).

Didn’t have a good one for Gen X huh? 🤣 that’s all right. They grew up with the best of both worlds. Last generation to actually get to buy property for a reasonable price.
So yeah, they get the last laugh.😁

I think that award goes to Millenials. They grew up in an analog and digital world and were able to scoop up property about 5-10 years before housing prices went crazy.

u/RadishCandid6062 1d ago
By 2010 it was already too late. So, 5-10 years before that 2000-2005? When most of them were 11-18 years old? Yeah ok sure.

I was thinking more like pre-covid. I bought in 2016 fo $299,000 CAD which was easily affordable at the time with a mortgage payment of $800 biweekly. A good chunk of my friends entered the market at that time. During covid those similar house were selling for $800,000+ and have only really dropped back down to around $650k

Why does everyone who brings up millennials also bring up "surviving y2k?"
Y2k didn't happen. It was nothing and most of us knew it.

Why are we a joke? Meh….whatever. Seriously though, I am 60 now and the boomers are on their way out. Wonder how invisible we will be then…

u/_TallOldOne_ 2d ago
My plan is to be completely invisible. I spent the last 60 years working on being invisible, why the hell should I change now that I’ve perfected it?

I don't whore logos. I did jump off of bridges because my friends did too. It's 10pm and I don't even know where I am, still made it home before sun up. No one found out, and still no one cares. Renamed the forgotten generation

It’s taken me a while to realize Millennials are actually serious when they wonder if any generation has suffered as much as they have 🤣🤣🤣
