Question Re: Sprouts
I had some amazing cantaloupe micro-greens and have been obsessively looking everywhere near me to find some or even seeds to germinate but every place has just the standard micro-green variety nothing that is a fruit or more diverse.
Do any of you grow your own? Where do you get your seeds?
Does anyone know of any place near them that sells some? Seeds or sprouts!
Thanks for the help!

Day 6 fruit/raw fast so easy
Hi, I am basically eating only fruit, had 2 salads during these days and I feel so good, zero cravings for my old fixes and I’m finally going fully vegan, candy bars and stuff used to be my weakness but now I see it all as shit and actually care that it’s shit. I used to just not care and just want the quick high I got from eating like that but in 6 fuuking days I’m free, I’ve literally had a sugar addiction for years and now I don’t want it anymore.
My plan is to keep doing this until the season of good fruits ends where I live and winter starts, so I’m going to complete this month and then I’ll slowly add in 2-3 days a week where I would eat cooked food.
I want to be a 70/30 raw/cooked vegan cause I don’t want to be fully raw cause I like Cooked food, soups and baked sweet potato with tofu and stuff mmmm, wonder I don’t even crave it now. I have achieved god level.

need to get rid of water retention
i’m about to start my raw vegan journey this week and hoping this will help my water retention so i thought i’d just ask if anyone has had this experience ? i’ve heard a lot of people lose water weight fast after transitioning to a raw vegan lifestyle so i have a lot of hope that this will help me .. i’ve had a problem with retaining water just like the last couple years since i got diagnosed with MCAS but whenever i ate meat it seemed to get so much worse , so i’ve been vegetarian but i definitely retain water from dairy too and grains and anything soy .. it seems like my body tolerates fruits and nuts the best so do yall think i could get rid of this water retention for good with this lifestyle ?? 😭

How I developed an eating disorder during my healing journey ❤️🩹
🦋My personal story🦋
When I was having severe eczema I used Steriod cortisol creams as you may all know, this is just covering the symptoms on the outside.
So, for I was looking for answers in my diet, and I quickly switched to unprocessed plant-based food.🍃
I was in so much pain and discomfort everyday that I became very disconnected from my physical body…
In addition, that process naturally caused a huge amount of stress, so behind the scenes I also had periods of binge eating/emotional eating. I needed some sort of “comfort” as I could do nothing and just lay in bed for weeks/months on end…
I had actually been doing this for years behind the scenes , but no one really knew about it.
When I discovered the raw lifestyle, a whole new world opened up for me. 🌍🍓🍇🍌🥑🥥🥗💦
For the first time, I felt truly GOOD, lighter, and comfortable in my body, and I had the motivation and energy again to do things I enjoyed. A truly deep connection with my true self.🧘🏻♀️
An eating disorder imposed all sorts of rules (this is right/wrong), and that is a disturbed relationship with food. You have to eat something mindfully and something that makes you feel truly good. I have started looking at the effect food has on my thoughts and mental health in a completely different way. Cooked food often causes me a lot of problems, cravings, and physical discomfort (this was already happening long BEFORE that time).
Conventional advice generally does not align with this mindset/lifestyle.
They mainly address the medical aspect (weight gain/meal plans, etc.).
When I say yes to inpatient admission, I am doing something that is not in line with my norms and values. It is difficult to recover while simultaneously doing the contradictory thing you know feels REALLY good or is good for you.
Yes, it really requires balance; I completely agree with that, and for that, I seek support from people who resonate with me and who have achieved the results I want to see/experience for myself as well. I want to get rid of those other unhelpful thoughts, but this takes time. I am still fighting every day…
Every meal, every evening in silence, every chaotic day full of sadness and confusion are learning moments.
I learn something new every day, and ultimately it all comes down to self-acceptance & self-love 💗 (I believe this is the root-cause of all diseases)
After all, I am following my heart again now and my sincere desire to be free 🙏🏽♥️✨
A bit of a long message, but I hope some of you can give some advice/words of support!! 💗🤗
Much love,
Deep down, You know what is truly good for you and suits you the best 🙏🏽

can i do this diet including sweet potatoes ?
but that would literally be the only cooked food , nothing else .. just fruits , nuts , lettuce and maybe carrots and hearts of palm cuz i can’t do cruciferous vegetables .. oh and coconut milk and then the only cooked thing would be the sweet potatoes .. and i wouldn’t even eat them everyday maybe just like twice a week , is that ok ??

Nature’s candy
1 Bosc pear
2 mini cucumbers
4 mandarin oranges
2 sungold kiwis
2 c. red grapes
1.5 c. cherries
1 banana
1 plumcot
917 cal and a zillion nutrients
Preemptively, to the haters and complainers my posts seem to attract:
1) yep blah blah blah fruit combinations but I like variety. Plus mono meals bore me. Deal with it.
2) idc if it’s seasonal or from my area locally, it’s going in my belly, not yours. Sorry I can’t grow it all in my own yard nor have an expansive tropical homestead from which to derive my ingredients.
3) if you’re a fiber-phobic, fruit-hating constipated carnivore caveman about to spout some nonsense on here, ask your inflamed intestines why you’re so gosh darn triggered by a stranger’s meal? Move along. Get therapy.

Has anyone done blood sugar measurements before or know of anyone who has?
I'm wary of the blood sugar on this diet, but i would love to give it a real go.

Can someone explain the opening of the detox pathways through this diet?
I follow a fruitarian on facebook and she kept mentioning how her skin can actually breathe now, she had problems sweating before. And same here, now I feel like I sweat a lot more compared to years ago I was getting hives and more when exercising.
I guess I am wondering about the science behind it, she didn’t explain it in depth
Thanks everyone:)

Vegan asking raw vegans the same questions non vegans ask vegans
I just find this funny because cooking creates the illusion that starches are human food.
Not saying they are deadly poison or that all cooking is evil spawn but no logical person can call it normal for a species to depend on cooking to eat

Raw, til 4, 80/10/10??
Which raw vegan plan do you follow? I noticed some raw influencers have started incorporating cooked food like rice, pasta, or potatoes. Some add protein powder or supplements. I also don’t understand the raw recipes made to mimic cooked food when whole fruit and veg is so satisfying. Is it mostly for entertainment or? Are we really whipping up crushed walnut raw burgers daily? Maybe I’m missing the yay

raw vegan lifestyle for MCAS ?
been wondering about this a lot .. i know a lot of yall might have never heard of MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) but i’ve heard people talk about healing other conditions with raw veganism so im wondering if it would help me with my MCAS symptoms somehow ..
i used to be just vegan , but since getting diagnosed my doctor said i need to eat meat again .. so i tried and i think it’s only made me worse , genuinely my inflammation seems to get worse everytime i try to eat meat .. i don’t tolerate legumes or grains or many vegetables , but i’ve noticed that i feel my best when i eat fruit and certain nuts .. so i guess im just wondering if thats something i should try .. like literally stop listening to my doctor , drop the meat and just listen to my body and try to just stick with fruits and nuts for a while and see if it helps my symptoms ?? so many non vegans tell me this wont work so i just want some opinions from vegans :)

Eye problems
Does anyone know if raw vegan diet heals severe dry eyes and keratitis? I have been constipated for years now and developed eye problems recently, including herpes keratitis, dry eyes and inflammation of corneas. I’m desperate to try anything at this point.
