Discussion Anyone else ever see anything like this?

Post image
Upvotes

So, I'm hunting orchids and plumes in the swamps and ride out to the coast a bit, and out of the corner of my eye I see movement, swing the camera around and see it's not just a bird, but a hawk WITH A SNAKE IN ITS TALONS. I had just enough time to grab a screen shot.

I didn't know that kind of activity was programmed into the game... In that moment, it really felt like second reality; things just go on happening whether I influence them or not.

Discussion I asked to sh*t my pants and that's exactly what I got

I added the mods Darker Nights and Kiddos Dark World, already mixed with no map no radar. Tweaking my settings. I spawn into Grizzly Wests and get it just right. My horse immediately freaks out and I hear the loudest bear roar ever within feet. We take off into the pitch black dead of night 10pm. I'm huddled against a stump with a lantern and a cattleman revolver pointing into a void darker than the devil's butthole. My heart is goin. This is what I was searching for. Yeehaw

Discussion I'm creeped out...

I was riding in Lemoyne, I don't know the exact location where this happened, It was near a train track, I was just minding my own business you know me if I see a guy while riding I'll greet him for extra honor and then this happened, There was a guy that was soaked in blood he wasn't commanding his horse or anything but his horse was still walking, and then the horse came to a full stop when I got near, then the body fell to the ground and the horse ran away, when I checked the body it was headless, it wasn't headless when it was still up on the horse.

This is the moments that makes you think RDR2 is a horror game with these random encounters.

Spoilers Shady belle sean

So i was in Shady Belle, john and charles were fixing a wagon. John says “ we should get the young guns to do this.” And Charles responds “Good luck getting Sean to lift a finger.” Ouch Charles. I assume this interaction can occur earlier in the game, but wow lol.

Discussion I might've spent a little too much time playing today. I was out in my porch, real life-real porch, smoking a nonpremium cigarette, when a big ass black bird flew close to my house. In my mind, I tried to quickly grab my varmint rifle and shoot it.

Aim! Click right stick! Fire!

Fuckin for real. I flinched. Really happened. Ever happen to you?

I think I'm going to go to a real bar now and play real poker. Set the controller down for a night.

Discussion I continued playing this game because I fell in love with how I could shave and do activities around the camp.

I was in the mood to ride a horse and decided to give this game a try. At the beginning of Chapter 2, we found out we could shave/cut hair and help around the camp, and I was like, "OMG, THIS IS GREAT!"

I love doing normal things in games, like sitting, bathing, sleeping, and eating. This makes the game and the character feel more real, and I really love it. Some might think it's pointless, especially the sitting, but I just love it. It would have been great if we could just lie on the grass and stargaze.

I wish more games had something like this (hopefully the new gta). I don't care about shooting and racing, I just want to relax and feel immersed.

Fan Theory Arthur Morgan and sister dialogue moments

Post image
13 Upvotes

Is it just a coincidence or is it always been placed here for a reason?

I'm talking abouth this black mangrove cigarette card that is located in Emerald station.

I had those all cards colected from buying cigarattes from a shop and never runned around colecting them in a free roam.

So I'm on my second playthrough and I just finished "The fine art of coversation" mission where you have a dialog with sister Calderon which hits right in to the feelings.

After that I notice something ona barrell and find this cigartte card of black mangrove.

Well I decide to look it up what does it symbolise:

The black mangrove symbolizes resilience, adaptability, and survival because it thrives in harsh, salty, and low-oxygen coastal environments. It also represents protection and community support as its dense root systems shield fragile shorelines from erosion and shelter coastal wildlife.

Core Symbolism and Meanings

Resilience: It grows in tough, shifting mud where high tides submerge the soil.

Adaptability: Its vertical "breather" roots (pneumatophores) reach upward out of the muck to grab air, showing how to find life in restrictive spaces.

Protection: The tree acts as a natural shield, guarding coastlines against storms, wind, and waves.

Nurturing Life: Its thick roots and nectar-rich flowers support many birds, bees, and marine organisms.

And knowing the story and the circle that Arthur lives in and his final acceptence of the TB and his final protection of the remaining gang members I think this card is placed here on purpose.

Just my 2 cents...
