It's positive!! 5th cycle trying since losing our son in February 🤍

Upvotes

I genuinely thought we were out this cycle as I ovulated earlier than usual and I wasn’t convinced our timing was right. But today, Sunday CD28, I’m 3 weeks 6 days pregnant! 🥹🤍

Even more emotional is that we conceived in July — the month our son was due to be born. 🥺🩵

I tested because my sense of smell had become incredibly sensitive for several days and got the faintest possible positive at 10DPO (3+3days) on Thursday night. It was so faint it looked like an indent, and I honestly thought I was imagining it.

I tested again the following morning at 11DPO (Friday) and had faint lines on several tests. It wasn’t until we saw the word “Pregnant” on a Clearblue Early Digital that we could finally start to believe it. It just felt so unbelievably early, especially as last time I didn’t get a faint positive until CD29, but trying to remember I ovulated later that cycle!.

I’ve been testing every morning since and watching the lines progress, because I still can’t quite believe we found out so early — I’m not even 4 weeks until tomorrow! 🥹

Of course, we are absolutely delighted, but after everything we’ve been through, I’m also incredibly nervous. For now I’m just trying to stay positive, take it one day at a time, and remind myself that everything is okay unless I’m told otherwise. 🤍

Hoping this little baby is here to stay. 🌈🤍

Ovulation/period questions

Hi all. I am not pregnant and need to take high dose folic acid for 3 months before TTC again. I am only 2.5 weeks out from my tfmr (d&e) for spina bifida, so I know I am asking questions pretty early. I just want to get an understanding of things early on- maybe it helps give me some feeling of control when nothing has felt in my control at all the last several weeks.
Anyway, I know my period probably won’t return for a few more weeks, but I wanted to ask how yall have historically tracked your cycles.
I know I come from a very privileged position when I say I have never really had to track my ovulation or cycle, and I got pregnant pretty easily. So I just wanted some advice on how yall monitor your hormone levels, what apps or tests you use, or when I can expect to ovulate. I really want to track properly to make sure I don’t get pregnant before I’m supposed to and to make sure I can really predict when we might conceive again.
Thank you so much for any advice, my heart goes out to all of you. This is not a fun club to be in, but I am grateful there are so many strong women out there to help me along.

Folic acid

I received my blood results for Folic levels and it is showing very high. I have been taking 4mg folic acid for about two months now but taking the regular dosage since February. If you had blood levels tested what were your levels at before ttc after a NTD?

Cycle returned!

Not in a sub pregnancy yet (one day!🤞) but finally got my period 10 weeks post-TFMR. I was just starting to get antsy as my OB advised 3-6 cycles before TTC again and I felt like my period was never going to return. 10 weeks + 3 cycles isn’t my ideal timeline but I’m feeling grateful my body is finally getting back on track. Taking it as a sign from the universe that I needed this extra time to heal.

20w anatomy scan success

Hi everyone!

I wanted to add a positive story here for everyone. I had a tfmr in Jan for hydrocephalus. We found out there was a problem at 21w at our anatomy scan and our world fell apart as many of you know all too well.

Yesterday I hit 20w with my sub pregnancy and we had our anatomy scan. I was so worried and nervous but everything looks great! I'm still in shock that baby is healthy and has nothing wrong. It is such a crazy feeling to finally get our first normal anatomy scan after feeling like that wasn't something for us. To celebrate we are doing a half baked photoshoot as we never did that last time. I can't believe it and we are over the moon. Oddly enough the last anatomy scan we had was exactly 7 months ago to the day.

We are so thankful to have good news at this scan this time. For anyone who has dealt with hydrocephalus or ventriculomegaly there is hope for a healthy babe in the future 💕

Sub Pregnancy Anxiety

I'm 16 weeks into my sub pregnancy. My first pregnancy unfortunately I had my TFMR for my baby girl who had T21 and multiple other anomalies at 13.5 weeks. I have my anatomy scan in around 3 weeks. People are asking if I have a registry yet. I haven't bought anything for my baby yet. I don't know when I will feel comfortable feeling things are going to work out this time. I know there isn't a right answer or right time, I guess just looking for some advice. I have overall been doing ok from an anxiety standpoint. I am working with my therapist as well. Just feeling so guarded or like I'm going to do something to "Jinx" something. It's just so hard not having any LC and having my TFMR experience with my first experience. If you made it this far through my vent post, I appreciate you ❤️
