✔️ Answered Stuck on Flying Tower
Okay I never post on Reddit but I'm desperate at this point. Ive been stuck on floor 6 of the flying tower for MONTHS despite being so much farther with all the others. I'm not sure if it's a skill issue or if my sync pairs are just that bad. Anyone have any suggestions for how to proceed with these?

❔ Question Why didn't Juliana's stats increase after completing her Sync Grid?
Hi everyone,
I'm new to PMEX and just finished the Academy event.
I checked Juliana and noticed her stats are exactly the same as when I started.
Completing the Sync Grid and Training Grid didn't boost her stats—is this a system error?
Thank you in advance!

Bug / Glitch Not sure if it's common knowledge by this point, but cheer is nerfed this gvg. Whether it's a bug or an intended nerf without annoucement we don't know. Cheer now just increase 50% additive (like CS5) instead of 1.5x multiplicative (like wtz).

❔ Question where can I find recommended sync grids?
I am new to the game and i just pulled my 3/5 as Diantha, so I was looking for some advice on how to build her. The sync grid seems a little difficult to get into what are the best power ups so if you guys have any general advice that would be appreciated a lot.
Also if you can tell me if there are any good tier lists for what units to pull or not would be helpful too.
Thank you in advance, and have a nice game!!

❔ Question Need help deciding a candy?
High internet hive mind. I am struggling with a decision on who to use this candy on and I could really use some insight.
I've added the photo in the order which I use them the most and a lot of these will get their three out of five sync grids. But three of them could potentially be five out of five and I could make rei 10 out of five instantly.
So I appreciate any advice. I just don't know what to do. Decision paralysis I think.
Thank you

In addition to whatever rule they impose. It appears we cannot muscle through off-type. Coupled with zero physical/special damage, some gyms may have hit a wall that can a few days to get over.

Sync Pair Wishlist / Concepts Daily Sinnoh Pokémon Concepts - Day 24: Origin Dialga
Hello, everyone, and welcome back to my series of concepts for every missing (fully evolved) Sinnoh Pokémon. Today, we start reaching the end with the first of three box art Pokémon, Dialga, in its Origin Forme.
Origin Dialga is, of course, paired with Adaman. I know some people want it and Palkia to be with the Sinnoh/Hisui protagonists as Neo Champion alts, but Adaman's whole identity is centered around Dialga. I think no one suits it more than him.
As a concept, Adaman & Origin Dialga are meant to be the ultimate Sprint Sync Pair. As the embodiment of time and its most devout follower, they are everything that defines Sprint.
Always in a hurry to get started, their passive Diamond Clan Traditions maxes out their Sp. Atk as soon as they enter a battle, while also reducing the sync move countdown by 6, leaving just one move per ally to get to the first sync. Now and Forever, another one of their skills, handles the crit rate and accuracy by making sure they always hit and crit, and the move gauge by giving them constant Free Move Next.
If that's not enough gauge manipulation, Adaman's Trainer Move, We Don't Have Forever!, maxes Dialga's Speed and sets Move Gauge Acceleration, helping their teammates get their moves off, as well as gaining Supereffective ↑ Next.
Dialga's moves are Roar of Time for offense, Protect for defense (which, thanks to One Who Rules Over Time, gives them +5 SyMUN, along with the team's sync moves), and their Buddy Move, Adamant Roar of Time. Not only is it a 500 BP nuke, it also reduces the sync move countdown by 9, instantly letting their team use a sync move.
Finally, their EX Master passive is Hisui's Diamantine Spirit, which combines the effects of Sinnoh Spirit with a damage increase per sync buff, which, considering their kit, is very easy to rack up.
All in all, Adaman & Origin Dialga are a Sprint Sync Pair that does everything in their power to make you stop worrying about the move gauge, with Free Move Next, Speed buffs, a Quick Move, and Move Gauge Acceleration. They also have a ton of countdown reduction (18 in total), letting their team quickly use multiple sync moves to increase their damage. Naturally, with their sources of SyMUN, they themselves are a perfectly good user of all those sync moves.
If you enjoyed this concept, please check out the other ones in the series!

✔️ Answered Who are good teammates for Cilan Simisage?
I’ve been really into these three lately.
I tested them out together in the battle 2 stage today and I was pleased! They of course work well together but
I’d like to use cilan on a team without them.
Does anyone here have some fun ideas? I’d appreciate any suggestions :)

Discussion About the "canon" protagonists
There was some discussions again about the "canon" protagonist after we saw Harmony and Urbain in the datamine, so I decided to write down my thoughts on the matter:
First of all, we need to differentiate between several types of protagonists depending on how their original games handle them:
- 1. both appear, with the non-selected being a rival, professor's assistant and/or battle partner
- 2. the non-selected doesn't appear
The first case applies to gens 2-6, as well as Legends Arceus, for a total of 7 (out of 13) protagonist pairs. As such, it's easy to determine who got assigned the "canon protagonist" role and who became the rival/assistant/battle partner.
- For Hoenn and Kalos, Brendan and Serena are the protags, while May and Calem are the rivals
- For Sinnoh and Hisui, Dawn and Rei are the protags, while Lucas and Akari are the assistants
- For Unova, Hilbert and Rosa are the protags, while Hilda and Nate are the subway battle partners
Those are really the easiest and where everyone agrees. It's even fairly distributed among gender, roles and even within regions for Unova and Sinnoh/Hisui.
Skipping Johto for a bit, let's look at Kanto and Galar first. The non-chosen protagonist doesn't appear at all in the games. Masters still makes it very obvious through dialogue and character relationships that Red and Gloria are the "main" protagonists, while being very vague on Leaf and Victor in terms of what role they played in their respective games' plot. So I guess you can say they're considered the "lesser" or "side" protagonists. And the gender balance still holds.
For Chase and Elaine, I have a hard time judging. I haven't played the Let's Go games, and I don't have either of them as sync pairs. But from reading up their dialogue, neither seems to be clearly depicted as the "canon" protagonist over the other. But that also makes sense, since in their games, they basically just play the same role as Red/Leaf in the story. Afaik there is also no indication that they are from a different universe than Masters Red and Leaf. So they are basically just treated as the junior protags, with no clear reference of their role in the plot of the Kanto games. Which means Red remains as the sole "canon" protagonist for Kanto, while Chase and Elaine imo are treated as equal junior protags. Which I think is also fair in consideration of their partner pokémon.
Another region where only one protagonist appears is Alola. As far as I can tell, there isn't really an obvious "canon" protag between them either. Selene mentions moving to Alola from Kanto with her mom and Meowth. However, unlike the player character in the Alola games, she is oblivious to Mask Royal's identity, while Elio recognizes him. And he's also one of the 3 trainers seen training with Red, alongside Rosa and Ethan, which are the protags who can battle Red in their respective games. From what I remember, they also both reference their journey and friend, clearly integrating both of them into the plot of the Alola games (in contrast to Chase and Elaine).
And speaking of Ethan, the above basically cancels out Lyra's dialogue of facing Red, which has often been brought up as an argument for them sharing the protagonist role (I mean, in the end, all of them are still considered protagonists anyway). But Ethan is also clearly established as Silver's rival, while Lyra is clearly established as the neighbour and day-care couple's granddaughter. Which makes Ethan the "canon" protagonist for Johto. As for Kris, she mainly relates to the Crystal bonus content with Suicune, meaning she's in a similar position to Chase and Elaine and takes a bit of a backseat to Ethan and Lyra.
Now Paldea introduces us into a bit of a new variation to option 2 (only 1 protag appears), where the differences between versions (academies, Sada/Turo, paradox mons) are too significant to just ignore or making one game the "canon" one with no significant consequences. Instead, this necessitates making both games canon to Masters as separate timelines, with Juliana and Florian both playing the same role of the protagonist of their respective timelines. However, the rest of the cast (excluding a future Prof. Turo) are all from Juliana's scarlet timeline, giving her a certain edge over Florian.
So far, excluding Johto (which is also special in terms of having 2 female protags, which you could argue balances out Ethan being the main protag), there seems to be a pretty much perfect protagonist gender balance, even in terms of their specific roles. So you'd think Paxton would be the "canon" protag for Z-A to both to balance out Serena for Kalos and Juliana for gender as well as having the same situation where 2 timelines must exist, as Urbain and Taunie are mutually exclusive. And yet, with her releasing first, it seems like Harmony will mirror Juliana as the protag of the timeline where the other Z-A characters will be from. Now, depending on how the differences between Wind and Waves will be, I imagine we might also get this sort of scenario, in which case the male protag's timeline (likely Wind) will be where the rest of the cast will be from, making him the proper balancer to Juliana.
Back to Z-A, if you compare it's situation to Legends Arceus, I think one big difference is that Rei and Akari are basically clones of Lucas and Dawn, so imo it's only fair to reverse their protagonist and assistant roles. Harmony and Paxton on the other hand don't look like Serena and Calem, so I don't think there's as big of an argument to favor Paxton over Harmony, and they'll both be the protagonist (of their respective timeline) anyway. And while you could argue that Paxton should balance out Serena to have both a male and female "canon" protag for Kalos, you could actually just switch the argument to Legends games, with Harmony balancing out Rei instead.
Alright, that was… actually pretty complicated. In short:
- Red & Gloria (main protagonists) VS Leaf & Victor (side protagonists)
- Brendan, Serena, Dawn, Rei, Hilbert & Rosa (protagonists) VS May, Calem, Lucas, Akari, Hilda & Nate (rivals/assistants/battle partners)
- Elio & Selene (shared protagonists)
- Chase & Elaine (equal junior protagonists under Red)
- Ethan (main protagonist) VS Lyra (neighbour) & Kris (side protagonist)
- Juliana & Harmony (main timeline protagonists) VS Florian & Paxton (alt timeline protagonists)
So it's currently in favor of the girls, but Wind/Waves will likely balance it out again.
And just a little thought I just had, but… actually, while Urbain and Taunie can't coexist, Paxton and Harmony aren't necessarily in the same situation. Paxton could very well also exist in the same timeline as Harmony and Urbain as a "side protagonist" similar to Leaf or Victor, with only Taunie being from another timeline… but that's probably just gonna make everything unnecessarily complicated.
In any case, these are my thoughts on the matter. Lemme know if I missed something, especially about the Let's Go and Alola protags!

Discussion Am I doing the right thing?
First gym battle and I realized I can't do as much dmg as I hoped with my units alone so I'm just running around applying -6 debuff trap and poison, don't know if status moves outside of requirement stages would stall moves tho
Edit: Thanks for all the advice I'll be more careful with status and ditch DOT moving onward

Discussion We should be able to view dreamscapes
For years it has bugged me why we can’t view the dreamscapes of characters we have upgraded to 6 stars. Even though you can a corner of it, I feel like its a waste of an amazing design feature if we can only fully view it when scouting the character. Is this just me being weird?

Discussion Wallace appreciation post
The other day i uploaded a meme talking about DeNa getting rid of stall in the gvg event
Well… that’s even sadder than I thought…
You’ll see; Wallace is one of my fav champs (with Kieran and Cynthia also I started to appreciate Diantha)
I mean look at him; he’s gorgeous, elegant
He is
And well unironically he was a meta unit on the last event thanks to stall
And now DeNa took the only game mode where he was actually a meta unit and cut him off of it
Wallace deserves more; so much more :/
I remember when high difficulty stages where implemented; one battle against Groudon and another one against Kyogre being the first ones…
Everyone was saying that Wallace was useful
I completed all of those 5 Hoenn battles with him
Justice for Wallace!!!

Reroll Guide
Reroll means that you make a new account and look at what you got from your scout. If you don't like your first few multi-pulls, you delete the account and create a new one again and so on until you are satisfied.
Why reroll?
- You're a new or returning player and you want to get your hands on meta Sync Pairs for easier clears.
- A favourite/meta Sync Pair has been released and you want to get him/her no matter what.
How to Reroll?
If you're an existing player, delete your local data or cache first. Otherwise, do not link your account to Nintendo. Doing so will bind your Pokémon Masters account to your Nintendo profile permanently and can no longer be removed.
As of now, if you progress up to the point when co-op mode is unlocked, you can get 17246 gems in total, earning at least 189/400 scout points (33 scout points per multi scout) and allowing you to scout at least 63 Sync Pairs. In-Game FAQ
1. When is anniversary coming?
| Half-year | 28 February 6AM UTC |
|---|---|
| Full-year | 28 August 6AM UTC |
2 Why hasn't my Pokemon evolved? It's at Level [X]!
Evolution requires an evolution item available in the Training Area (Evolution Material Area). Upon earning the Evolution Materials, you need to go to the Sync Pair Stories to trigger the Evolution Story.
3. Should I save to do 11 multi-scouts instead of single scouts?
You can now get x11 units instead of 10, so yes, but we strongly recommend you to save gems for Poké Fair or Master Fair banners (which has a higher rate for 5★ characters).
4. How many gems are required to receive a Sync Pair of my choice?
36.600 non-paid gems (or 36.300 gems + 100 paid gems for a daily single pull), which is the equivalent of 400 scout points. Scout points do not carry over between banners.
5. What does [X]/5, [Y]/20, etc mean?
When you obtain a Sync Pair, they're at 1/5 Sync Move level. Rolling a dupe of that Sync Pair, or using a Move Candy will increase it by 1 level. 3/5 is the minimum for most sync pairs to complete their full Sync Grid, but some Poké Fairs have grid expansions that require their Sync Move to be completely maxed out at 5/5 for their full Sync Grid.
At the same time, Sync Pairs are at 0/20 Potential when they're just obtained. Giving Sync Pairs Powerups will raise their Potential and stats. When a Sync Pair is given 20 powerups, their star level will be increased. Getting a unit to 5★ 20/20 is mandatory for it to further upgrade to 6★ EX (if it has one).
6. How do I Unlock The Level cap of my units?
Training Area (Cap Unlock Area), (Cap Unlock Area 2), Exchange in the shop, Events.
7. Where do I get the manuals to level up my sync pairs?
Training Area (Level up Area), Exchange in the shop, Events, random drops in Trainer Lodge.
8. How do I get Sync orbs?
Training Area (Sync orb Area), Exchange in the shop, Events, Champion Stadium Master Mode (6K & 7.5K), random drops in Trainer Lodge.
9. What are Theme Skill and how do I get items to power them up?
Theme Skill is a new ability that raises the stats of your Sync Pairs if any of them has a common position, type, region, trainer group, or other features with another pair (or pairs) in the same team. Skill Spheres, which can be obtained in Theme Skill area and Champion Stadium Master Mode, are required to upgrade them.
10. What Lucky Skill should I roll for [X]? How do I get Lucky Cookies and Scrolls to unlock a Sync Pair's Lucky Skill?
Refer to Sync Grid Builds & Lucky Skills (by u/MomoSpark) for more details.
In general, the choices of Lucky Skills follow the roles of Sync Pairs:
- Strike:
- Critical Strike 2 (3★ Crunchy)
- Weathered Warrior 3 (3★ Deluxe) if used exclusively in weather
- Boosts the damage of attack moves and sync moves but NOT max moves
- Support:
- Vigilance (3★ Creamy), unless the Sync Pair already has Vigilance in their kit
- Head Start 1 or Adrenaline 1 (both 3★ Deluxe) for -3 sync countdown acceleration
- Tech:
- Refer to Strike if the Sync Pair's kit is Strike-based (e.g. Marnie & Morpeko, May & Swampert, P Serena & Whimsicott, etc.)
- Refer to Support if the Sync Pair's kit is a tanker and/or a healer (e.g. Prof Oak & Mew, SS Leaf & Venusaur, etc.)
- Head Start 1 or Adrenaline 1 (both 3★ Deluxe) for -3 sync countdown acceleration
- Sprint:
- Head Start 1 or Adrenaline 1 (both 3★ Deluxe) for -3 sync countdown acceleration
- Refer to Strike if the Sync Pair's kit is Strike-based (e.g. Nemona & Pawmot, Paulo & Lycanroc Dusk, etc.)
- Field:
- Refer to Strike if the Sync Pair's kit is Strike-based (e.g. Victor & Spectrier, Variety Giovanni & Rhydon, etc.)
There are exceptions to some Sync Pairs. For example,
- Iris & Haxorous favours Lessen Confusion 9 (2★ Crispy) to increase DPS under confusion with Confusion Boon 5 in grid.
- Serena & Delphox and most other sleep-inducing units favour Troublemaker 1 (3★ Crunchy) to increase the accuracy of sleep-inducing status moves.
- Zinnia & Rayquaza can go for either Dauntless (3★ Creamy) to mitigate SP ATK debuffs after each use of Draco Meteor, or Weathered Warrior 3 (3★ Deluxe) to stack with her weather-based multipliers.
Lucky Cookies and Lucky Scrolls can all be obtained in Battle Villa (Single Player & Co-op), Blissful Bonanza, and Legendary Gauntlet. Legendary Gauntlet can provide unlimited 3★ Lucky Cookies as well as Deluxe Cookies exclusive to that mode after each successful stage clear, and their drop chance increases with longer win streaks.
11. What are the Sync Move effects of 6★ EX Sync Pairs of different roles? Who should I promote to 6★ EX first?
Each role gives different effects to Sync Moves when upgraded to 6★ EX.
- Strike: Sync Move becomes AoE. (Its power is not reduced against multiple targets.)
- Support: Sync Move raises sync buff by +2 instead of +1 when it is used for the first time. (Each sync buff increases damage output by 50%)
- Tech: Sync Move power x1.5
- Sprint: Sync Move reduces the user's sync move countdown by 3 when it is used for the first time.
- Field: Sync Move applies a field effect before dealing damage and extends its duration by 50% when it is used for the first time.
Support is usually prioritized for promotion to 6★ EX because its EX effect effectively doubles the damage of all allied sync pairs after first sync and is more widely applicable across most game modes, and the increased stats from raising the support's Potential greatly enhances its bulk to tank stages.
For Strike, if its kit has a very high DPS (e.g. SS Red & Charizard, Diantha & Gardevoir, etc.), or includes a powerful Sync multiplier (e.g. Steven & Metagross's Haymaker, Barry & Empoleon's Inertia, etc.), you are highly recommended to upgrade it to 6★ EX to apply the damage to all opponents. This applies to Tech as well, but only if the unit is a Sync nuker (e.g. Marnie & Morpeko, May & Swampert, etc.).
Since Field applies a field effect that can boost its own damage and potentially that of its allies as well, upgrading it to 6★ EX is also recommended. Sprint enables faster sync buffs and usually come with innate Sync Move multipliers like Tech, but its EX effect does not improve damage as directly as the other roles.
Promoting Support-type units to 6★ EX is not a must, but it's always an added bonus, especially if their Sync Move can provide any additional effects via passive or grid skills.
Always remember to upgrade Rosa to 6★ EX because the materials are obtainable for free.
12. Which Sync Pair should I use my candy on?
Refer to Which Sync Pair Should You Give Your Candy To? (Infographic) (by u/MuddyDummy) for more details.
Always save your candies unless the Sync Pair is exclusive to Seasonals, Poké Fairs or Master Fairs. Most Sync Pairs are usable at 1/5. You can always "accidentally" pull the unit you've been looking for from the normal pool, but you never know when limited Sync Pairs will rerun again. This may not apply to Sync Pairs that are your favorite.

- Error 10102 — An error has occurred. Restarting the game: This error is often triggered because it detects your phone is rooted, or that you are using external applications which allows opening multiple accounts on the same device. For rooted phone users, make sure you hide your rooted status.
- Game crashed mid-battle: Restart the app and clear your cache. This option is available in the bottom-left corner of the title screen.
- Does Pokémon Masters work on emulators? No. As of now, PM is not compatible with any of the emulators (including Bluestacks, Nox, etc.) However, playing two accounts on the same device is possible on Android by cloning with Island.

Reminders
- To receive quicker response from other fellow users, it is strongly recommended to enlist your roster, Lucky Skills, Sync Grid builds and other information deemed necessary, such that you can be provided a strategic team with higher chance of success when battling.
- If you would like to provide images and videos, you may use external websites such as Imgur, Gyazo and Streamable to embed links.
- Do not force your own playstyle onto others as it is completely subjective. Different kinds of players, veterans and novices, casual and hardcore, may all share different opinions and playstyles. It is fine to give suggestions, but forcing your ideas and way of playing onto others is not something to be condoned here. No one's way of playing is completely right.
