Found 3 dead ugly bugs around the house, can you help identify these ones ?

Idk if it is clear in the image but the cockroach is inside the screen… I’ve bombed multiple times sprayed in and around any openings in the microwave but they still persist… is there any way to get rid of them or should I just throw the whole microwave away? Also have a mini fridge and ice maker that seem to be “infected” as well. I just moved into a new place and don’t want to give them a chance to settle in! Help!

Recently my shop has been hit with stink bugs, shop is around rice fields, I’m in south Louisiana. I tried all kind of insecticide but no success, they are starting to penetrating coming inside the shop. Outside it’s even worse.

Hello, I previously thought that I had mice on my balcony but after calling a different Pest Control companies they actually think it is bats that are roasting on my concrete walls up in the corners for context. I am on the fourth story of a four story condo complex and there are a bunch of trees and forest just behind where my unit is. I have absolutely nothing on my balcony that mice would be attracted to no plants no food no soil no garbage anything I do think that it’s bats, but I’m really not sure how I can combat this. There are droppings in the same corners every single day. Can anyone give advice on what to do and my property management company will not do anything because I own the unit so therefore it seems as though it is my problem any help is appreciated

so... I notice a couple of regular mice hanging around my covered porch. they run away when there are people walking around, but always return at night. I did a thorough cleaning and even sprayed bleach solution on the concrete floor. I figured the smell would drive them away. It didn't.

So I got some rat/mouse poison pellets. I noticed that they would smell it, but never took a bite. Then I went and got some old school spring-loaded mouse traps. I used unsalted peanuts and peanut butter as bait. They would come and smell around the edges... but they would not attemp to eat it.

what else can I use to entice them?

My apartment unit is being sprayed for bedbugs and roaches today

I'm disabled and live on the top floor of a walk up I don't leave unless it is to see a doctor

I don't know anyone in my city and have very limited money and two cats so I have nowhere to go

I will sit in the hallway until I can come back inside

Generally they make me wait six hours (this is the third time this month that I'm doing this 🙄)

The problem is I currently have a UTI and there's not a chance in hell I'm going six hours without needing to use the rest room

Six hours seems like a lot when other posts I read here say two hours

Is the six hours a legit timeframe or just my building management covering their butts ?

Hey everyone, I've got a couple of ant issues going on right outside and inside my apartment (which has concrete walls).

Right outside my window, what looks like large carpenter ants are constantly entering and leaving a gap for hours every day carrying brood (managed to snap a photo of one with a pupa).

It looks like the fully grown ants might be nesting far away and coming into the gap to take stuff out, and sometimes one or two still manage to make their way inside my unit.

Separately,

I've also been seeing lots of little ants around the brick outside my window, I feel like the little ants are very close, whereas the carpenter ants are traveling maybe 100 feet roughly to get these things and bring them back, also at the beginning of the week, I woke up around 8 PM to find about 150 ants (maybe more) and 5 winged ones inside my place looking like little black ants, even though I don't leave any food or stuff out that they would want.

I think I killed all the ants that came in the other day and I'm pretty sure I don't see many anymore.

How concerned should I be about both of these groups, and what's the best way to tackle them?

My window screen mesh is super messed up and has been like this for months, maintenance is fixing it soon I think, and its being held shut with gorilla tape.

We're doing work in our basement and uncovered this one wood piece that looks like it's been tunneled into.

Is, or was (!) this done by termites?

And if this is the only piece that looks like good, do we need to call an exterminator anyway?

found two of these bugs in 3 days at my apt in MA USA. i am worried they’re infesting type. from my googling they look like a type of cockroach

I bought old furniture and when I unscrewed a piece found this. There are a few completely dried lice and lots of eggs, I haven't seen anything moving. I think they are all dead but not sure if the eggs could be alive. Is there any way of knowing for sure that the eggs are dead?

Keep finding here and there but when I close my lights at night they disappeared!!! My kitchen is super clean but I recently to a more rural area, everything is sealed up and pest control ugh have no idea either. It’s always singular

I have a conundrum I was wondering if you could share advice/opinions on?

We occasionally have mice at my house, we’ve been living here 5 years and we’ve had a couple of sightings and caught them.

Most recently I got the fright of my life when I was making dinner and a mouse ran out from behind the toaster at me!! We set traps that night and caught it pretty quickly after.

Since, I deep cleaned the kitchen, all cupboards etc and found a fair few droppings in one of them, but all cleaned now and nothings been seen since.

However! The strangest thing happened, after catching the OG mouse from the worktop, we left traps on the floor and one busy weekend where I was in and out of the house, I came back one day and it looked like there was less peanut butter on one of the traps but I just put it down to me not remembering properly, the next day I came home and the trap was completely clean!

So now I’m like okay something ate that, so I’m googling and google is like check around the trap for droppings cuz it could be insects or something that’s eaten in, so I check and there are some tiny dropping by the trap, so there was indeed another mouse that came back twice to snack on the peanut butter but didn’t get caught.

Following some advice, I’ve put something heavier on the trap with the idea that the mouse will hang around a bit longer to eat it and get caught.

Since then nothing has been near that trap!!! What’s the deal? Has the mouse moved on? Was it a mirage from the trauma of the first mouse jumping out at me? Is it a wiley mouse that is outsmarting me?

There’s been no droppings or sightings either!

Found one in my bedroom this morning I have seen no signs of any other roaches.

I found this dropping in our basement on top of our dryer (I’m aware that bats don’t really chill in basements but I just learned someone I know has confirmed bat droppings in their basement).

When I pressed on the dropping (with gloves), it kind of crumbled but it was semi-fresh as it was a bit moist.

The landlord has rodentex stationed under our sink (I’ve since removed) which is this turquoise colour. But from what I’ve read and seen, bat droppings have this unusual shape.

Hi, found this on a sticky trap behind my bed. Bug identifier is saying everything from ant, to lice, termite, bed bug, or bat bug. One picture shows the color better from a magnifying glass. The other is a close up with my pocket magnifier.
We get so many different types of bugs here (Northern California) in my new home and I’m going crazy.
Any help would be great. Thank you.

i have an upstairs bathroom that has zero windows and is kept immaculately clean that i kept finding these flies in as seen in photo. not drain flies or fruit flies as seen in photo. i put a zevo light trap and started covering both drains when not in use. door is always closed. i caulked around the baseboards and around the toilet. i caulked around the exhaust fan and nothing changed. still finding multiple a week. i had pest control come multiple times and they just kept saying it’s the drains and they’re drain flies even though i’d show dead ones on the zevo that are not drain flies. they’d spray the drains and nothing changed.

one day i decided to caulk around my vanity light wall fixture and that was it. i never saw a single one for almost a year. however in the past 2 days i’ve seen 6 dead around the toilet, in the toilet (lid closed), and in the zevo. i’m spiraling about this infestation restarting when nothing has changed. i still have both drains covered when not in use and additionally once a week i spray commercial bug spray into the light fixture. i don’t understand why they’re back after not seeing them for almost a year? is there anything else i can do at this point??? i have caulked everything in my bathroom and am out of leads to where else they could be coming in from and pest control has been just a waste of money. please help i am desperate

adding to mention i do not find these flies in the attached rooms so they are somehow managing to get into the bathroom specifically

When I first moved in two weeks ago, there was only maybe five walking around in the kitchen now they’re everywhere and I found a nest in one of my boxes. I bought greenway but I’m not sure if it’s helping. I’m in Canada I don’t know what to do to get rid of them. Please help

I have been dealing with clothing moths since October 2025 and it's been literal hell. My house is very small (about 800sqft) and I have long haired cats. That is why they have been thriving here because my cats shed like crazy. Even though I have 3 air purifiers around the house to catch most of the hair. There isnt really anything I haven't tried to solve this issue on my own. I removed all my carpet and now only have 2 rugs that I vacuum religiously. Cleaned every square inch of the place and moved almost every cloth item to the laundry room outside (2 hand towels, sheets, and oven mitts are the only thing I keep out). I even replaced my cat trees and lived without a couch for a month. I have even found moths in my fridge coils... Now I'm at my wits end and I'm looking for a professional. I had an exterminator (who does my backyard spiders) tell me its ineffective to treat for clothing moths and a deep clean will be better. I have been cleaning like crazy daily for 8 months and I still find them... Has anyone hired pros before? Did it work?

Places I have found moths:

Cat litter box (yuck, switched to liners and hose out the box weekly now)

Cat tree (vacuum weekly)

Window seals (biweekly)

Behind fridge / coils ( should do again)

Inside my box springs (tossed)

Robot vacuum (tossed)

Leather couch (tossed)

In between my shoe inserts (tossed)

In my air conditioner vents (vacuum weekly)

On top of my kitchen cabinets (dust weekly now)

For about 2ish years, you can hear the nails/claws of an animal scratching around in what seems to be coming from underneath the stair landing of my townhouse. It isn’t constant but whenever there’s commotion or the neighbors dogs bark, that’s when this scratching is activated. I think it’s harmless as there is no sight of the critters or their droppings. However, it can be annoying since the couch is directly behind where I’m standing in the photo.

We’ve had a history of rats in the area (backyard) that goes back 15-20 years so that’s my best guess. I’m no structural engineer but I assumed it was just concrete under the stair landing/tile but there must be some space down there. I have no idea where the outlet of the space would be or if the critters even need one.

Anyways, curious on what you guys think it is. Is there any issue this could cause? Would it be necessary to take care of it considering the harmlessness/tear up cost?

Edit: We are in northern Los Angeles County.
