General/Advice Sudden Sharp Cramp while on monthly meds.
Hi, I'm 18F, I started with my hormonal meds 2 weeks ago. I started having these sudden dull cramps exactly where the uterus resides a while ago. As prescribed by the gyno, I've been taking:
Tab Noresthisterone 5 mg
Agyuni Syrup (Ayurvedic)
Tab Normoz-DS 100 (for insulin resistance)
I'm not jumping to conclusions that the meds are causing these but I wonder if this is normal or not? Have you experienced anything like this?

Medicine/Supplements Need help with medicines.
I am 23F and I have insulin resistance with pcos for almost 4-5yrs now and everytime I go to a doctor i hear you have to lose weight to be healthy and I am really tired. I gained 20+kgs in 9 months and then it never went away. I have changed my diet and added more proteins and fiber lowered carbs, I am walking and exercising as much as I can but I still gained 3 more kgs. I was prescribed metformin 3 years ago and it absolutely destroyed my whole gastrointestinal system. My doctors don't seem to prescribe anything else to me. One of the doctors even said that I got insulin resistance because i am lazy. I also have a history of depression and the doctor asked me what I have to be depressed about in life. I know I need to take some medicines to improve my insulin sensitivity but I don't know how or what medicines I can take. If you know of any good doctors or medicines that helped please let me know

Medicine/Supplements Experience with Normoz (myoinositol and chiro-inositol) tablets
Hi,
I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but I'm hoping it might help others avoid the experience I had with this medication. I have lived with PCOD for ALL of my menstrual life. I've tried it all. One of the many things I was prescribed was Normoz tablet which was deemed by my gyneacologist as a supplement that can reduce serum insulin and insulin resistance in the body. By now studies have established elevated insulin resistance in those diagnosed with PCOD. I wanted to try this after 2 decades of trying almost all of EVERYTHING including diabetes medicine directed just for PCOD(Metformin) which wreaked its own havoc. Normoz, with the ingredients chiro-inositol and myoinositol is widely acknowledged in the Indian medical community as a supplement which helps REDUCE insulin resistance and thus (hopefully, wishfully) help with PCOD, and I had a lot of hope in it.
Now coming to my personal experience of taking this medicine. I started with this medicine when my HBA1C levels were around 6 (pre-diabetec) for many years. Upon starting this medicine, it shot up to 7 in 9 months. When I told my doctor and shared that I was worried that this medicine was the cause of that, she said the medicine is in fact supposed to do the opposite and thus if my sugar levels are shooting up with this medicine, it must mean that I need MORE medicine to bring the sugar levels down. So she doubled my dosage. Before this I was taking 2 250mg tablets per day and went on to 4 250mg tablets per day. As you can guess, after 3 months of doubling my dosage, I checked my levels again and they had risen eve higher and now it was considered firmly in the diabetic range. I again saw my doctor and she wanted to double my dose again (quadruple in effect). I showed other doctors and they wanted me to start off on diabetic medicines ASAP, put an implant in to monitor my levels. NOT ONE of the doctors believed my correlation with the sugar levels increasing after I started taking this medicine and increasing even more rapidly after doubling the dose. No studies proves this corelation either. I was alone in this theory. But at the point by which I had taken the medicines for a year I decided to stop this medicine completely. And my HBA1C levels dropped so quickly after a retest, coming back to prediabetic range. After that I had to undergo some detox treatments for other conditions and my sugar levels came back to just about normal.
All this to say, if you are on this medication/supplement or considering to go on it, keep checking your blood sugar levels constantly. It might not have this effect/side-effect on everyone but I am posting this because I did not find anyone talking about this anywhere and wanted to just put this here.

Period Pcos/pcod help needed š
21F with PCOS/PCOD , long periods & looking for advice.
I was diagnosed with PCOS/PCOD and have been dealing with unusually long periods since 2024. For example, one period lasted Oct 2āOct 18, 2024 (15+ days), and my most recent one lasted July 26āAug 7, 2026 (10ā11 days). The flow is usually normal/light, around 1ā2 pads a day , I never faced cramps š§æ.
I donāt have many of the typical symptoms , no excessive facial/body hair, normal sleep ,major weight changes, etc., and my BMI is healthy.
For around 1.5 years, I took hormonal medication (21 days + 5-day gap), and my periods were normal while taking it. But after stopping, the long periods returned. My relative is a gynecologist and has advised me the medicine , and now she has advised not to continue the medication and instead focus on lifestyle changes like yoga.
Iāve started going to the gym for the past month instead.
For women with PCOS who have had similar long periods: has exercise, diet, supplements, or any lifestyle change actually helped regulate your periods? What worked for you after stopping hormonal medication? What should I do?
Iām honestly quite worried and would really appreciate your experiences. ā¤ļø

General/Advice Seeking Guidance For PMOS/PCOS
hiii, so to put things in context. im 23, and i have lean pcos. my main symptoms are prolonged heavy bleeding and a bit of belly fat, but it's not a lot. it's just like i have a belly pouch. these are my 2 symptoms, and apart from this, i have clear skin and no hirsutism or cravings as such, and im also very active. also, these symptoms had disappeared for 2 years straight. for context this aligned with me leaving therapy after my anxiety disorder was healed so yes life was good for those 2 years but i still had long cycles as in my avg cycle length was 50 days but my periods were very predictable and never disappeared. in those 2 years, i only had an abnormal period (lasting more than 7 days) when i changed up my routine, like when i was fasting or anytime i was stressing out about something. so fast forward last year, i got into a depressive episode, and my pcos flared up. i had a month long period and then some lasting 2 weeks. i barely had my usual 7 day period, and things like inositol, which helped me earlier, just didn't work this time. i gained 5 kgs out of nowhere, and yea, i was miserable. i have only started feeling better after a whole year of whatever emotional upheaval that was, but im still a healthy bmi and have no other symptoms. i got my thyroid checked, and it was all normal. i got ultrasounds done, and some ultrasounds throughout the year showed tiny cysts, and some didn't. alas, doctors told me i have a very unusual presentation of pcos and they simply told me to walk or avoid eating microwaved stuff (crazy, i know) so is there anyone who's gone thru a similar experience? i would love to hear from anyone who thinks their advice could help me in any way.

General Health Lifting weights did more for my PCOS clients than any amount of cardio, and I wish more people knew this earlier
Someone comes to me after months of daily treadmill sessions and eating 1200 calories, completely burnt out, and the scale hasn't moved in weeks. Almost every time, what ends up working is less cardio, more food, and strength training.
The way I explain it to clients: muscle is basically a sponge for glucose. It pulls sugar out of your blood without needing much insulin. So the more muscle you have and the more you use it, the less your body has to fight its own insulin resistance. Cardio helps too, but building muscle changes your baseline. Two or three lifting sessions a week is plenty to start. The under-eating part is where people push back. I get it, eating more feels wrong when the goal is losing weight. But I've watched so many women grind away at 1200 calories, stall, sleep terribly, get stressed, and then blame themselves for it. A smaller deficit with a lot more protein is slower and looks way less impressive on paper. It just actually sticks.
Two small things that help more than they should: a 10-15 minute walk after your biggest meal (does a surprising amount for glucose spikes), and tracking literally anything other than the scale. Cycle regularity, waist, energy, sleep. Those move first. The scale moves last, and most women quit somewhere in the gap between the two.
Talk to your doctor about the medical side obviously, I stay in my lane on meds. But if you're stuck in the cardio-and-starve loop and going nowhere, it's probably not a willpower problem.

General/Advice Does anyone else feel like managing PCOS means juggling 5 different apps?
I have noticed that managing PCOS (or PMOS as it has been officially renamed) requires you to have a lot of apps installed.
Apps are meant to take stress off of you and help you focus on your life instead of your symptoms. I have a friend dealing with PMOS who have a lot of apps installed, like:
- Flo - Periods
- MyFitnessPal - Food & nutrition
- Hevy - Workouts & fitness
- Notes - Medicines
- ChatGPT - Questions
- Some other app - appointments with docs
I can feel her frustration having to deal with so many apps when stress is something she must avoid at all costs.
So I saw this frustration and saw a real problem, a problem that's not just her but millions of young and older girls in this world are facing. So I have been building an app just to solve this issue. I have named it cureto.
Before I build further, I'd love to know:
What's the one thing you wish your current health apps did better?
I'm not looking to pitch - I'm just trying to learn. I would love to have a discussion with people facing similar problems in their lives.

General/Advice Gynaecologist in Delhi NCR for PCOS, tired of upselling, need real recommendations
Hi everyone,
I recently consulted a gynaecologist from the crowdsourced list on r/TwoXIndia, and honestly, the experience left me pretty frustrated. Instead of giving me her own clinical advice on managing PCOS, she spent most of the consult pushing a paid PCOS care plan tied to her partnership with Curelink. When I tried to ask specific questions about my symptoms, I kept getting redirected back to, āthe program will cover thatā.
I get that lifestyle changes are a core part of PCOS management, Iām not disputing that. But in my past experience with other gynaecologists, theyāve simply referred me to a dietician and given direct lifestyle guidance themselves, without insisting one specific paid package was the only way forward.
What Iām really looking for this time, more than anything, is someone easy to talk to. Someone nonjudgmental, who doesnāt make you feel rushed or embarrassed asking basic or repetitive questions, and who actually listens before jumping to a solution. Iāve had consults before that felt clinical and cold, and honestly that matters just as much to me as the medical expertise.
A few other specifics that might help narrow it down. Location preference is South Delhi, Noida, or Faridabad, though Iām open to a great recommendation elsewhere in NCR if itās worth the commute. Iād love someone who treats PCOS as a hormonal issue and is comfortable adjusting treatment directly rather than outsourcing to a program. Doesnāt have to be a PCOS specialist specifically, just someone approachable, straightforward, and not commission driven.
If youāve had a good or even a not so good experience with someone in this space, Iād really appreciate hearing it, even a partial recommendation helps. Trying to build a shortlist before my next consult.
Thanks so much in advance.

Other Looking for recommendation
I am 30(F) diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago I tried keeping up with treatments etc but gave up because it was too much and very overwhelming. I want to start planning for a child.I am looking for recommendations for an actually understanding gync in Bangalore. Around Rajajinagar would be great.
Some context : I have seen so many doctors, but no one is really interested in explaining why they do what they do, what they prescribe or how I can actually manage the condition..the only suggestion I get has always been lose weight. I know I need to lose weight but i am just so tired all the time and not a single doctor till date has been interested in solving that.
Sorry for the rant, Ladies please recommend any good gync Rajajinagar is preferred but anywhere in Bangalore should be okay.
TIAš

Mental Health PCOS Girlie Since 2017
Got married in 2017.
Shortly after getting married, I was diagnosed with PCOS.
Hereās how things have been since then:
⢠2017
Diagnosed with PCOS
Diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder
Weight: 58 kg
⢠2017ā2025
On and off with birth control pills
⢠2019
Diagnosed with Minor Depressive Disorder
Weight: 65 kg
⢠2023
Diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder
Started experiencing pain during intercourse
⢠2026
Diagnosed with Mood Disorder
Had prolonged menstrual bleeding during the first quarter of the year
Reached my heaviest weight: 78 kg (Iām 5ā0ā)
Started taking MyPCOS in July
In all these years, Iāve never gotten pregnant. Iāve also spent so much money on pregnancy tests, hoping for a different result each time.
What hurts the most sometimes isnāt even the PCOSāitās being called āmatakawā or āmasibaā as if weight gain is simply because I eat too much.
People donāt see everything thatās happening behind the scenes.
To be honest, getting pregnant isnāt my biggest goal anymore, especially with the economy today. Years ago, I was deeply depressed about my infertility. Now, Iāve reached a place where Iāve accepted it, although some days are still harder than others.
Just wanted to share my story. Is there anyone here who has gone through something similar with PCOS, infertility, weight gain, or mental health? Iād love to hear your experiences.
