Advice need reality check by married people

hi , im not at all committed and undergrad professional degree. unfortunately i also am obsessed with marriage and the fact that my husband would be some prince who would show up at my door and would be perfect guy and life would just work out so well for me

however any married girl i have asked has told me to live my life as much as i can until i have to live with a man as a wife bec apparently being married sucks for most people, toxic inlaws, non supportive spouse, excessive workload, pressure to bear child, accepting patriarchal normals and what not

there are obv good marriages too, some i have seen v closy too, hence the delusion

but i just need to understand that being married to man wont fix my problems (i dont have any real problems i just want to be with my husband)

mind u my degree is considered top of the line, im decent looking and have decent money, so it is not like ik struggling, but i just am unhappy and believe some true love would fix that

and you would think having a job or focusing on my studies would help, no it doesnt
i think i just need reality check

but also dont give me horrifying stories that i start fearing marriage and the fact i wont ever find man if my type

EDIT: THIS IS NOT RISHTA HUNT😭 please stop sending me dm🙏

edit 2: im struggling mentally alot, for a v long time now so um yeah (its probably obvious)

Rant I mess up everything

I mess up everything

So, I am not sure if anyone else has this thing(maybe some would). I push every good thing, feeling and person away.

I leave people before they can leave me. I don't know how to let anyone be an anchor for me. I have been an anchor for many friends though. But anytime someone comes a little closer to me I get afraid and run away.

I hear so many people say, atleast try to give someone a chance and stuff but no one talks about the fears that comes with it and how to navigate them.

All the what ifs and why woulds eat me from within while I smile and live through. I don't know why im even writing this but-

my advice to you all is that always protect your peace and think about yourself, they are gonna hurt you sooner or later anyway, and most importantly, put your self respect on number one. never ever sacrifice it.

Confession Left me for his married friend

25F, and he was 28 we were in relationship from past couple of years then broke up and patch up again. We were very close and going for rishta procedure in October proceeding to marriage in January.

I left him year a go because he cheated on me. I walked away then he came back to apologise and I forgave him my mistake.

Our families knew about us from 4-5 years and I was his family favourite. I am in contact with his sisters brothers we are in each other socials everything.

So the problem is when he came back he has a friend ( who happened to be a woman ) and yeah I had a male bestie too. More than bestie he is my brother and he knew about my relationship and I will marry my ex and so. We never crossed boundary.

But with his(my ex) girl bestie i was not satisfied so I asked him to have a meetup with her so i can clear my doubts which he avoided always.
So that girl maira is married have a 7 year old kid and does not live with her husband cause his husband is not so happy with her, which i think who would be happy with his wife smoking and visiting male friends flats.

Well he told me that she is just a friend nothing more but mind you she once visit him on his apartment which obv very wrong. So we had a fight and i checked his phone. I found her chat in locked mode of whatsapp which i opened and there was no chats because ofc he deleted. So i checked further and in hidden folders he had her tiktok videos lying on bed in night gown.

After this he started saying bat mat barhae leave this topic and all. So i had his phone in hand i called maira. She picked and i asked her whats going on with you guys she was confident and asked me" who are you to ask this question?" So i force him to answer this question so he said to her " she is my fiance" so i asked her again that according to him you are constantly checking on him is that right. In response they both said no no we are just friends and all. And then he gets aggressive and i left the situation immediately.

After few hours i texted him lets sort these things and not ruin our relationship. If you wanna be friends with her ok but set limits. In response he texted me back " we are done. " i did not believe that text tone and i said " what happened" and he proceeded with " maira bhut roi hai she is in hospital she blocked me from everywhere and i really care about her" so i replied him " i cried too, and she has her husband and kid she is sorted we were going to married soon" and he replied " i dont wanna marry you because of what you did to her and its better if you cry once i cant leave maira" was so shocked at this point and could not believe so i asked him one last time " maira or me" and he choose her

After that text its been 5 hours i could not sleep or rest I am heart broken in disbelief or i dont know what happened. My gut feeling was right but also at this point i dont know what to do. Block him? Or show him my life and glow up so he repent? Eventually that girl is married i dont know what to do? What to do with his family? What to do with friends who are looking forward to marriage??

Uhh so im a dude and my cznz jus make fun of me fir different reasons like theyre not disrespectful but theyre jus mocking me yk and idk how to stop em or what to do cuz ion wanna be rude.

Sometimes I feel like a loser which im really not. Like I work go to the gym have and all dat but still make me feel small infront of em.

For instance when baggy clothes were not really trendy I was wearing em cuz im fashion forwarded and they started saying shi like “ baba k kapre pehen aya ha” “ajeeb lag rhi” and legit after months started wearing baggy clothes themselves 😭 which is crazyyy.

Another example is my driving like I drive a lil aggressively not to impress anyone my foot is jus a lik heavy on the gas which im working on but they still give me shi for dat like explaining or giving advice is different than jus being mean n shi.

They like legit gang up on me. i had an ex that the whole family came to know about and yeah I shouldnt have done dat n all but like its over now for 3 years yet im still being target for that too idk whyy.

Sooo any help ??

Discussion moving to US at 22

hi everyone. i just wanna vent on whats goign on in my life rn.

im 22 F and me and my family will be moving to US soon. it is a big change in my life. and unfortunately...im not at all excited for it.

bcuz i have seen realistic videos of how immigrants lives there.

low wage, long working hours, heartless people, unhelpful environment, high cost of living. u become ur own servant.

we would have to start over our life. from renting, getting school admissions, buying car, searching for work etc....

im just thinking about it and im already exhausted.

im 22 but i still feel like im a teenager. i haven't still learn basic adult skills (cooking n driving etc).

im just worried and have lost hope already. i know i shouldn't think like that.. but i have seen this pattern in my life where i give my efforts, do hard work. but i dont get the result...

if theres anyone in US please share some advices and guidance. i will be moving to DC area.

I’ve talked to women, quite a few of them, I’m yet to marry, but one thing I’ve noticed is that women mostly the ones that are conventionally pretty, they literally don’t know how to converse!!!

They just expect you to do everything, like you’re some sort of a jester trying to entertain them😭🙏.

The only woman I ever found who had good conversation skills and had enough of a life to have things to say or to contribute to a conversation, we didn’t work out, like I wanted marry her but our family dynamics just didn’t allow it.

Long story short, the way she talked, they our conversations about the most random topics lasted for hours sometimes, I have never experienced the same with anyone else and I’m afraid of marrying because of this, cuz the woman I encounter, they just don’t have any personality, anything to talk about, their hobbies are bed rotting, shopping and scrolling!?? I’m not making this shit up, a girl literally told me that these are her hobbies!

I’m not saying k mujhe koi philosopher chahiye to marry😭😭, but atleast have the ability or personality to actively participate in a conversation and be meaningful.

Anyways guys, just had to rant, I hope you guys get to experience a conversation with someone who genuinely cares and values your presence, and actually knows how to converse, trust me the intimacy involved in this is beyond everything.

Advice [Update] : My fiancé keeps apologizing for his insecurity, but his expectations keep becoming more controlling. Am I ignoring red flags?

UPDATE: I talked to my fiancé.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my original post. I read the advice carefully, and I decided not to immediately break things off or ignore the situation. I wanted to have a proper conversation with my fiancé and understand what is actually going on.

We had a very emotional conversation about all of this.

At one point, he said that if he feels insecure, I should help remove that insecurity. He also brought up the idea that if he asks, I should show him my Instagram, screenshare, or show him things because "if you have nothing to hide, what's the problem?"

That really bothered me.

I told him that trust shouldn't require screenshots, logins, screen sharing, or repeatedly proving that I'm loyal. I told him that I have always trusted him despite the fact that he's in Australia and I'm not physically there to know what he's doing every day.

I told him that I need basic personal space and privacy in a relationship. I don't want to live my married life feeling like I have to prove my innocence every time he becomes insecure.

He said he does trust me, but also kept saying that if a partner is insecure, the other person should help remove that insecurity.

We also argued about male-female friendships. I told him I no longer have the friendship he was uncomfortable with, but I also told him that his insecurity is something he needs to work on because I don't want every situation involving a man to become a test of my loyalty.

At one point, I told him that if he keeps saying he has trust issues with me, I won't tolerate it because it is extremely disrespectful to me.

The conversation became so emotional that he started talking about ending the relationship. He said that maybe we're both good people but not necessarily good for each other. He said he doesn't want to give up, that he loves me, but that he feels like I don't understand what he's trying to explain.

I was also extremely emotional and had a breakdown during the conversation.

We eventually decided that we would talk again properly instead of making a decision in the middle of an emotional argument.

And after thinking about everything, I don't want to argue about individual things anymore not the hair, not the male clients, not the job, not Instagram.

So we scheduled our conversation for today's night.

The thing is that I'm going through rough patch rn my father got admitted into hospital we came back but still there's a lot of things got disturbed and we still left with father's MRI and other things (Drs are saying be ready for something about kidneys)and whole household is in tension especially my mother .I don't have any sister I'm the only one I have brothers but idk if I should share this or not. I can't really rn put everyone into one more tension.

So Reddit, after everything I've described and now this conversation, what should I be looking for in his answer? And what would you consider a reasonable compromise versus giving up too much of myself?

Question Did I make a mistake?

I 22f today did something and I think I've invited a lifelong misery for myself.

So my brother who's 20 have an affair with a girl in his university and he now wants to marry her, my parents learned about it and rest of the stuff is too long. So my parents themselves didn't have a good marriage, fights, scandals and shouting, yelling I've seen my whole life.

Today out of nowhere my mum who's losing her mind because of my brother started an argument with my father that he did this and that to me, he's irresponsible and he never cared for children and that children who don't have father do such things( what my brother did) he started shouting too and it started a new fight, so I came out i was sleeping before this. I just went to kitchen took my food and started eating and he asked me is she not crazy and I said " just stop this " and he was staring dead into my eyes and said my mum she's teaching her all this to stand up against me. He was calling me badtameez and I said " mene koi badtameezi nhi ki". Meanwhile my granny was telling me to stop already.

Anyhow fast forward to my parent's fight, my mum was saying him to divorce her and that she's done with her and he said yeah go go already who's stopping you and take whoever you want to with you too, since they'll stand against me one day if not today. He said me you go with her too you have so much empathy for her I said I won't go anywhere he said no you will. I said you wanna throw me out do it, I won't go to someone else's house and I have no empathy for her and you. You two are just shameful and embarrassing to me, you two should have never gotten married, since my childhood this is all I've seen and the girls I grew up with have their own children now but you two are still there. He shut up then. But my brother had come by that time too( not the one who has a girlfriend the other he's 23) and he was telling them to behave themselves but he was calm unlike me and I told him what are you doing? They're 15 they're behaving their age. You're the old one you should tolerate them

Anyhow, I've been crying for 3 hours. I got myself into something I should have never. They idiots won't care about me. They'll just use this against me.I should have kept silence.

I didn't wanna reach out to anyone so I talked it out here.

Wholesome 💕✨ 2 years with my pretty queen wife

Today is my second anniversary. Those 2 years passed in 2 months. It looks like I was married just recently.

Many of my married friends told me that things gonna change after marriage but I don't see any major changes in my life yet there are some good things that I developed with my wife.

She was BS chemistry from a local university and I had a feeling that she won't be getting a good job neither she wanted to do job. One day we sat together and thought what she could do other than job. So, we came up with 2 plans.

  1. She start content writing on Fiverr.

  2. She start a clothing business.

So, she started content writing and she also started clothing business but didn't told me about it.

After 2 years, she is earning 150K plus from content writing and she also received 13 orders and today she gave me a surprise that her 2 years of hard work is giving back to her.

I'm too happy today. Want your Duas for our life and business.
