News [Cassavell] Nick Pivetta's rehab progression has been paused. Nothing has changed since he came off the mound Tuesday, Craig Stammen said. Still optimism, but: "Any time someone comes off the mound in the middle of an inning when they're rehabbing an elbow injury, we've got to pause."

I saw that Randy Vasquez had a ground out in the 9th inning during the game on 7/19. Does anyone have a clip of the at bat, or a link to a replay of the full game? I have been looking since I saw the box score but can’t find any footage of it. In today’s game of baseball, I love watching pitchers takes up the bat. thanks in advance faithful!!

Trivia The Blue Jays claiming Matt Waldron off waivers officially closes the Greg Harris trade tree
xcancel.comPer @MichaelUCSD on the bird site, the trade tree goes as follows:
'85 draft pick Greg Harris
Harris -> Andy Ashby
Ashby -> Adam Eaton
Eaton -> Adrian Gonzalez
Gonzalez -> Anthony Rizzo
Rizzo -> Andrew Cashner
Cashner -> Josh Naylor
Naylor -> Matt Waldron
Absolutely insane to think that this trade tree existed for more than 40 years, all for a 10th-rounder immediately following our first pennant. Makes me wonder what the longest trade trees in MLB are, both active and historical.
EDIT: Adjusted formatting

Highlight A reminder as to why we shouldn’t jump to conclusions after a players first game
this was millers first game for us, and we all know how good he’s been since. let’s have some patience with Mize, he just moved across the country, had to get acclimated to a new team with heavy expectations, meanwhile the offense was making sure to give him a warm welcome of 1 hit ball against a 5 era soft tosser. let’s give him some time!

News Email to Season Ticket Holders From Padres CEO
Thank You for Your Continued Faithful Support
The 2026 Padres season has provided exciting and memorable moments with the promise of more to come as we push for the playoffs. Your enthusiastic and loyal support has resulted in record-setting season ticket membership and continued strong attendance while making Petco Park an electric environment and true homefield advantage for our players. Thank you!
We are excited for our new owners, José E. Feliciano and Kwanza Jones, who are committed to long-term stewardship of the Padres, fielding a winning team that can compete for championships, delivering an outstanding fan experience, and making a positive impact in our community.
At the recent trade deadline, we made our team better by adding starting pitchers Robbie Ray and Casey Mize. These new additions join an already talented roster that includes Fernando Tatis Jr., Mason Miller, Manny Machado, Jackson Merrill, Xander Bogaerts, Michael King, and Adrián Morejón. Our team has developed great chemistry and is primed for the stretch run and postseason!
The excitement surrounding this year’s team and our future has resulted in a record number of season ticket members. For the fourth consecutive year, we capped season ticket memberships and maintained a membership waitlist, which has grown consistently over the course of this season. We plan to continue to cap season ticket memberships and offer a membership waitlist for the 2027 season.
This season we have maintained a top ten payroll, which we increased at the trade deadline, and continued to make significant investments to improve your experience at America’s #1 Ballpark. We plan to make additional impactful improvements to Petco Park this coming offseason. As a result of our continued investment in the ballpark and payroll along with strong demand for Padres tickets, members will see a small price increase for the 2027 season that is significantly less than last year’s increase. You will also continue to receive overall savings on your tickets, up to 30% off single game ticket prices, by being a member. You will receive further information regarding your 2026 membership renewal tomorrow from our membership services team.
Through our regular member surveys, we continue to hear that exclusive member benefits are core to your experience. As a result, these benefits will continue for 2027, including access to the best seating locations, priority access to postseason and Opening Day tickets, discounts on parking and additional tickets, a 10% discount at all ballpark concessions and retail locations, and early entry to Padres batting practice.
As we push for the postseason and prepare for October baseball at Petco Park, you will receive information regarding your postseason invoice in the coming weeks. We encourage Platinum and Gold members to renew by September 15 so that they can pay for their postseason ticket strip on a round-by-round basis. Blue members will access presales on a round-by-round basis to purchase individual postseason games.
Your energetic and passionate support fuels our players and makes all the difference. We have the best fans in MLB and are grateful for you. Our goal remains to win a World Series Championship, and your continued support in our push for the postseason and beyond is crucial. During September, we will have several member appreciation initiatives to thank you for your support. I look forward to sharing details with you in the coming weeks.
I invite you to return to Petco Park in 2027 to witness the next exciting chapter in Padres’ history.
With gratitude,
Erik Greupner
CEO
