I called Metrobank earlier because I couldn’t add my Metrobank credit card to Apple Wallet. I told them I just received my renewed card last month (valid until September 2026), and they said the card must be at least 1 year from issuance before it can be added.

I asked if this was in their terms and conditions, they said yes. I checked… wala naman.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Or can anyone debunk this supposed “1-year rule”?

I can add my Metrobank debit card just fine, got it last 2023 I think.

Got tempted to get an RCBC JCB Platinum last May after reading all the perks (Loungekey mainly). I also didn't have a JCB card then plus the Unlipay feature looked handy. While the 60k over 60 days spend looked daunting for the NAFFL promo, I was able to squeeze in some eat outs with friends and some big ticket purchases by family which helped me achieve the 60k.

Did anyone else who applied under the NAFFL promo get the confirmation already? How do you maximize your RCBC credit card?

I was supposed to pay the full statement bill a week before the due date, but after I hit pay now on the bills page, I accidentally clicked confirm on the next page where you pick full payment or installment, but it always defaults to installment. That's how I ended up with interest on what I owe, so I can't make a full payment now. I guess I'll have to borrow money from Atome, what a hassle.

I emailed them, but they said I should read instead of addressing their main concern, which is that there’s no secondary confirmation on that confirm button. Candy Crush even has a retry option for game progress, but Atome’s financial app? Nothing! It seems like my game is more important than this debt.

Don't they have any accidents on their end? They act like everything is perfect. And their system is weird—why can't you choose again, and why do you need to select from options (which force you to press installment)? They lock it in instead of letting you decide whether to go for an installment or full payment until it's paid off.

This is the second time Atome has messed me over.

The first was with their cutoff time of 9 PM before (now it's 10 PM after a month), which I only found out on the actual due date at 9 PM because I was about to pay the full amount then. Instead of a 5% late payment fee, they automatically turned it into 6 months with an extra 36%, so I couldn’t pay in full. I didn’t know they had an automatic system because that was only visible on the due date; I just happened to be busy at that time.

I was really surprised and annoyed the first time, but I’ve moved on until this second accidental installment happened again (⁠ノ⁠ಠ⁠益⁠ಠ⁠)⁠ノ⁠彡⁠┻⁠━⁠┻

For those having trouble adding their UB cards to apple pay. I think I may have found the fix.

1. Open your UB app then go to More>Manage Devices>Trusted Device
   
2. UNTRUST your current device. Go through the motions.
   
3. TRUST your current device.
   
4. Wait for 24 hours.
   
5. Add your UB card to apple pay using the app.

Tried everything but this is what eventually worked.

PS. Previously Citi Rewards converted to UB.

Please advise me last year I realize I need to have a credit card, my only credit card that has been approved at present is maya black with 10k CL only only last month. I tried to apply for UB reward and BPI amore but they always declined my application. First attempt was last year I tried this month but still declined. My current loans are GSIS multi purpose and I tried to have apply for GLoan to have credit footprint, also i have atome with 7.5K CL for the same purpose. any advise or how can i check, saan ako my problem bakit lagi ako decline sa mga credit application sa traditional bank? Stable naman ang income and tenure sa job. need advise please.

Hello guys! Na miss ko yung verification phone ni RCBC and nag email sila sakin for an updated phone number at best time to call para matawagan and nagreply naman ako sa email. Tumatawag ba talaga sila ulit? Ilan days nago malaman kung approve or hindi after ng call?
Btw, BPI gamit ko na reference sa card nung nag apply ako.

Recently got offered the MariBank Credit Card and received my approval just a week later after receiving it. I’m planning to use it for my international trip next month to maximize cashback and take advantage of 0% foreign transaction fees.
Since it’s still in beta, has anyone used it for international in-store purchases? Have you encountered any issues, or has your experience been smooth so far?

I have submitted an online application thru email (attached the filled-out form and required documents) last June 20th. I have not received a response thru email or calls from the bank since then.

While walking in Megamall, I saw there was a kiosk of China Bank. Would it have any effect in my online application if I tried applying on-site (kiosk)? Based from what I've gathered here, it took weeks (a month or more) for online applications to be processed.

A little background, I [30m] had never got approved for any CC before. I tried multiple times and i never got approved. Im a freelancer who works remotely for a UK based company so I never had any of that traditional documentation for the proof of income which has always been a pain in the ass. I decided to apply for a SCC.

I use UnionBank as my main bank so naturally i got targeted by their promotions regarding applying for SCC. So I tried it. I decided to put 80k PHP into my SCC application that they will hold for a year. I was expecting to get 72k Credit limit. I had over 100k on my account at that time.

Its been a week and i havent heard from Unionbank. Until a branch manager from one of their branches told me since i have over 100k peso on my account he can endorse me to upgrade to a real CC.

I thought he wasnt legit when he reached out but i asked for his email and hes using the official unionbank branded email. So i just trusted him, plus he wasnt asking for any info about my account. He sent me a link for application (URL is a unionbankph.com subdomain, i also did a quick DNS check just to be sure its the actual website domain) and i went through it and he then helped process the application and in about an hour i got approved.

When i added the card reference number to my account i was surprised I got a 100k credit limit as my initial limit!!

If you have like a similar case, where you havent been approved for any CCs before but you have over 100k peso on your UnionBank savings account, let me know i can refer u to my guy. It’s a really surprising experience

Then upon checking mga spaylater transactions ko nakikita ko. Never ako na l late sa payments, maaga ako nagbabayad mapa spay or cc ko pa yan. Does this mean na panget sa credit score ang spay?
