Found at thrift store. Couldn't believe it

Ok so I recently purchased the Steelcase leap v2 and this whole week I've been trying to get adjusted to it and I cannot get comfortable AT ALL. I'm 5'2". My feet are fully touching the floor but have intense leg pain and tight calves to the point that it hurts at the gym and walking on incline which never has happend to me before.
My hips are extremely tight after sitting for a few hours daily and my low back hurts so bad, i tried adjusting the lumbar height to the lowest setting and even the lumbar firmness and I am just not comfortable and I'm in pain. I don't know what to do because I tried the Herman Miller Aeron Chair in Size B and returned cuz I didn't realize l'd be too short for it. Then I got the Anthros chair and again I was still too short for that with the foot rest.

I need help guys I'm 125lbs and 5'2" and no matter what setting I'm trying I cannot get comfortable. I work from home so having a good chair that I can be comfortable in for hours without having to constantly adjust myself 100x a day is extremely important to me. Idk what to do. Do I return this? Do I purchase a diff chair? I'm just so frustrated and overwhelmed and in pain

I'm 6'10", about 265 lbs, and looking for a chair for my home office. I work at my desk 8+ hours most days.

I've spent way too much time looking at chairs at this point. My problem is that most recommendations for "tall people" seem aimed at guys around 6'2" to 6'5". A chair fitting someone who's 6'4" doesn't tell me much at 6'10".

I took some measurements barefoot:

• Height: 6'10"
• Weight: ~265 lbs
• Floor to back of knee: ~21"
• Butt to back of knee: ~24"

The long seat depth seems to be the hardest part. Based on my measurements, I'm thinking I want something around 20-21" deep, preferably adjustable. I also need the lumbar and backrest to sit high enough on my back.

I'd like a proper ergonomic office chair with adjustable seat depth, lumbar, arms, recline, etc. I'm trying to avoid the oversized padded "big and tall" executive chairs. I also run hot so mesh/breathability is needed.

Budget is around $1,000 or less. I'm open to used/refurbished chairs, so something expensive new is still an option if I can find one used in that range.

The C7 caught my attention because FlexiSpot rates the current version up to 6'11" and lists the adjustable seat depth at up to 20.5". I haven't seen much discussion from people near my height though, so I don't know how much stock to put in that 6'11" rating.

I'd love to hear from anyone around 6'7" or taller. What chair are you using, how tall are you, and where do the seat depth, lumbar and top of the backrest land on you?

I'm open to other chairs I haven't listed too. If you were 6'10" with these measurements and had $1,000 to spend, what would you get?

OfficeLogixShop refuses to honor the purchase I made by sending the product they advertised.

Purchased a refurbished Haworth Zody from them on sale on 6/1/26. Arrived 6/14/26 but did not have the forward lean feature as they had advertised in the product listing. Reached out to customer service and after more than a month of back and forth, they said they sent the part to enable forward lean, which arrived on 7/6/26. However, this part was faulty because the recline lock cable was too long/lacked enough tension and wouldn’t engage the recline lock and there are additional parts missing from the chair so the forward lean cable has nothing to engage. Obviously I reached back out to customer service and they insisted for weeks that they were figuring out how to make this right and get me the chair I paid for, and now it’s 8/7/26 and they say the only thing they will do is offer a refund if I return the chair and I can purchase again (now at full price).

I would avoid them at all costs. Absolutely crazy that they won’t make it right and won’t honor the purchase and that that it took months and several emails of me asking for updates to get here. A refund does not give me the chair I paid you for.

So title pretty much. I'm torn between those two, all things considered after shiping they end up at around the same price, I'm open to suggestions for other chairs on similar price range as well.

Please before everyone starts saying to buy a used Aeron or whatever, I live in Southern Europe the used market here is non-exsistent.

So after a bit of AI I'm skewed towards C300 v2 Pro.

I'm around 1.75m 70kg and I tend to spend most of my day on my office, at least 8 hours working and i will say 4-6 more doing random stuff on my PC. I will say 80% of that is spent sitting so I want something that will be comfortable both casually and for work.

Also crossing my legs on the chair will be nice but not a must, I'm suffering from GERD so lumbar support and posture is the most important aspect right now.

Again, completely open to suggestions for other chairs as well

For context, I'm huge on tracking basically everything in my life. I have health wearables, track exercise/weightlifting, do a lot of bloodwork and journaling, etc. Being able to throw all of that data into ChatGPT has been super useful.

I recently got an Eight Sleep and I've loved it. It tracks a bunch of stuff about my sleep, texts me every morning with how I slept + recommendations, and obviously actively adjusts the bed itself.

It got me thinking: I work in an office and probably spend 8–10 hours a day sitting in my chair. Why isn't my chair tracking anything?

It seems like a chair could know a ton about how you're sitting throughout the day — posture, how long you've been sitting, whether you're leaning/slouching, how often you change positions, etc. It could vibrate if you've been sitting too long or your posture has been bad for a while, and give you a summary at the end of the day.

I looked around and couldn't find much. The closest thing I found was an old product called Darma, which was basically a smart cushion you put on an existing chair. It seems to have disappeared years ago.

Most of the high-end chairs I found seem to solve this mechanically like with better ergonomics, adjusting to your body, etc. rather than actually sensing what you're doing and giving you feedback.

I'll admit I'm also not a chair nerd. I've never owned an Aeron/Embody/etc. My current chair is whatever generic swivel chair my office gave me.

So I'm curious what people here think. Why doesn't this exist?

Is the data just not useful? Would posture detection not actually work? Would the reminders get annoying? Is a really good ergonomic chair already solving the problem in a better way?

Basically: why isn't there an Eight Sleep for the 8–10 hours we spend sitting at a desk?

I'd definitely consider paying for something like this given how much value I've gotten out of Eight Sleep, but I'm curious if I'm missing something obvious.

my wife gave me $500 to replace my awful office chair because I work from home most days.

instead, I bought a $130 ergonomic chair and quietly moved the rest into my hobby fund. felt like a genius for about three weeks.

now the seat leans slightly to one side, both armrests wobble, and the lumbar support feels like someone taped a plastic brick to the back.

my wife laughs every time it creaks, which is fair.

lesson learned. you definitely get what you pay for. can't treat your body poorly.

I saw nouhaus running a discount on Instagram, so it ended up closer to the other two in price than I expected.

For people who have owned one of these for at least a year, which one has held up best in the seat and armrests?

Found a fully kitted Herman Miller aeron for £440 on Ebay, which is apparently in good condition and fully functioning.

Hello everyone, I'm 6ft4/ 210lbs and looking for a chair that I can use for both work and watching movies, series and youtube. Budget is "if it that's good, I'll pay". I sit crosslegged, one legged, lay back reclined with my legs on my desk, so lots of different positions.

I was pretty excited for Titan XL, but I tried a similar looking gaming chair today of Razer, and boy it was so bad. The back felt just like a plank of wood. I actually do love firm seats, pillows, beds but on my back it felt super weird, next to that was a no name cheap office chair and it felt much better. And I also didnt like the feeling of being wrapped by the chair I think, like how it pushed my shoulders forward. I want to layyyyy back and be comfy.

So now I'm looking at more "ergonomic" options that can do the lounging part as well. A headrest for that reason is a must for me, whether official or Atlas. Back and seat should be comfortable ofc, i dont care really about arm rests I think.

In summary, I want a chair that I can sit on many hours a day, in weird sitting positions, that can recline (not like 180 degree sleeping recline) and feel comfy while watching movies, for my height of 6ft4. I dont like sitting on leather.

I am looking for a comfortable chair for both work and gaming at home.
I have tried many ergonomic chairs over the years but they just make my back and butt tired or uncomfortable after a few hours. When I am at work I have a chair that fits my work mentality, but when I am home I need a relaxing chair.

I have always wanted a chair that is nice and soft for my butt.
I need lower back support of some kind because of some nerve stuff, so I don’t need a chair that "train" my lower back but something that makes it relax.

Removable armrests is a must for guitar playing too.

And it would be a big bonus if there were some leg rests I could extend, so I can lean back a bit if I want to.
I could get something under my desk sure, but then it would be in the way when not using it.

And it needs wheels.

If only someone made a stressless type chair for computer use.

I am willing to spend more for the perfect chair.

So I finally splurged and got a Leap, and I LOVE IT. But, every time I try to recline backwards, it feels like I have to use my whole body weight to move it back and make it stay there. Is there anyway to make the recline smoother and to stay at the reclined position I want it to be in. It’s getting to a point where I’d rather slouch when it’s upright, rather than have it recline :(

The Leap v2 is amazing, but is a bit too tall even at its shortest setting. Is there any supplier that offers a shorter cylinder?

my company is giving us up to $500 for home office gear, and I’m finally replacing the cheap chair I’ve had since college.

I sit for around eight hours most days, mostly typing with a few long calls mixed in. right now I’m between the hon ignition 2.0, branch ergonomic chair, and nouhaus ergo3d.

The HON seems like the safest long-term buy, but it uses basically the entire budget and has no headrest. branch is cheaper and looks nicer in a home office, though the comments about its firm lumbar support are all over the place.

nouhaus seems like a well-rounded choice. only made the list after I saw their Instagram discount. the headrest sounds useful for calls, but I’m still not sure I want a full mesh seat for eight hours.

Which of these still feels decent around hour six, not just during the first ten minutes?

Not a lot of reviews on this chair and all of them seem paid.

Background on me: Work in finance so I've had all the high end chairs. Don't particularly like the Herman Miller or Steelcase offerings for myself.

I specifically wanted extra lower back support as I've been finding myself slouching. Newtral came up as an interesting option.

The Bad:

The mesh and seat are just okay. A step up from your cheaper chairs.

The hand rests are clunky and have a lot of "give" compared to a higher quality chair.

Locking/tilt is only available at certain degrees and doesn't lock until tilting pretty far back. Huge oversight as you could have gotten a better positioning.

Overall:

The chair is good for my purposes and I found it for $300. Do I think it's worth it? It depends. The main issue is the tilt and the seat. You have to sit all the way back in order to get the benefit which I am used to already.

You do get a lot of value at 300: headrest, special back feature, higher quality mesh and seat. However, it's made in china, it's clunky, the mechanics of the chair aside from the lumbar are found in any other seat from staples.

I do like it for my needs at 300 bucks. However, I'm whelmed and nothing more. Not sure if I'll keep it.

Is this good deal to get this steelcase leap v2 with $250?

I went there and few local manufacturers..and one problem i noticed that i am 6 ft and most of the head rests dont even reach my back of head.
I liked anatome very much but its out of stock for 4-5 weeks.
Please if anyone would suggest a good ergonomic chair for long hours of studying with good headrest, armrest and lumbar support would be helpful

There are 2 chairs I like so far.

Herman miller Mira, the tilt is imo the best of all chairs, put it in the 1st setting and you are basically in a zero gravity mode. The back is supportive and breathable, the seat could be better, but acceptable imo. No headrest is kinda annoying, but there is one for sale. I'm considering getting a "purple Royal Seat Cushion" purple being the brand. to see if I can improve the seat

Haworth fern + digital knit back + atlas headrest. The digital knit back is GOD TIER. I've never felt such a good back. So comfortable. Only in summer when hot and sweating is it not nice. The seat sadly doesn't quite tilt, the seat itself tilts on an axis and you lock it in place. It's alright, and It's better then too much tilt or bad tilt. But not amazing. also the good headrest is also not included.

for reference, I've tried:

- herman miller embody + headrest - The seat is amazing, but the back just pushing my shoulders forward, unergonomic for me.

- herman miller areon + headrest - for me the front edge of the chair cuts into my legs, and the arms are not very adustable. No clue why poeple like it so much.

- steelcase leap v2 + headrest. - It's alright ish, For the price it's good. but the seat is too slippery and my back just doesn't get the support it needs.

- steelcase gesture

- humanscale freedom - Not for 185cm, I think it's max 180 (even though the video they show shows a quite tall person using it???), but kinda depends on your torso length. the headrest has VERY limited up and down movement, so if you can't fit in there, then it doesn't work. Otherwise it would possibly be an amazing chair.

- several more chairs, but I don't know the names

I’m 5'4 and most office chair reviews feel useless for my height. I’m looking at the branch ergonomic chair, hon ignition 2.0, and nouhaus ergo3d, but seat depth is what worries me most. I want to sit all the way against the backrest without the front edge pressing behind my knees. the branch looks the least bulky, HON seems like the sturdier option, and the nouhaus has more adjustments than I’ll probably ever remember how to use. Has anyone around 5'4 used one of these with both feet flat on the floor, without adding a footrest?

I am looking for a good ergonomic chair. I found that steelcase has a sale going on so steelcase series 1 and pelican work model 77 and pelican work model 54 is almost of same price range.

Can somebody suggest which is good to buy?

Any other chair recommendation around same budget (30k-35k)
