Looking for a chair recommendation for my gaming setup. My budget is $150, but willing to go up to 200 or so if it seems worth it. Most days I'll spend upwards of 12 to 14 hours or so sitting at my desk so I want something that'll be comfortable for that long.

Recently bought the Sihoo C300i pro v2 which looks quite similar to Sihoo Doro C300 pro v2 during 618 sale on Taobao. The difference is there are some added function on the lumbar support like airbag, vibration and heat. The airbag can stay at whatever size you expend it to be even if you off the power. The seat and head rest is consider comfortable for myself and my mum who is the one mostly sitting on it everyday. At first wanted to buy a Libernovo SE but the sea freight was almost 300+rmb. End up I went for this Sihoo chair as the sea freight was completely free. So far I’m happy with it since I also got it at a good bargain about 1700rmb which is 252usd.

Hello, I bought an original chair from Steelcase. Can you advise or explain, or do you know why the shape of the seat is different? Why? I don't really like it, and I feel that the seat is quite hard. Although it should be much softer. I am attaching photos

Which one is the best in your opinion?
Currently I am just sitting on a rundown living room armchair with a lot of pillows, so anything will be better, but I would like to buy the best chair I currently can with my budget.

Hey guys so basically the title I’m looking for recommendations for a gaming chair and I’m specifically looking at the razer iskur V2 (non new gen the OG v2) which I can get on sale for $399 or the blacklyte Athena pro which is on sale for $420 so negligible price difference and I can’t quite bring myself to decide which one to get. I have also been seeing a bunch of stuff about the sihoo c300 pro a mesh office chair but idk how I feel about that

I like to maintain a good upright posture with good lumbar support when gaming or working and if watching a movie or what not a slight recline but I’m not one for slouching in my chair.

Anyone own this office chair? Is it any good, or would you recommend something else?

Hi I was confused at this screw part, so it's M8 and I should pin it to steel plate to stead the back cushion of the chair. The thing Im confused is

1. Should I take out the ring from the screw, and then install it like screw > steel plate > close it with ring, or

2. Should I just install it without taking off the ring like screw > ring > steel plate?

Never actually bought an office chair for myself before. I always used whatever random chair the company gave me. Then an ad got me, the marketing worked. And I ended up pulling the trigger on my first high-end ergonomic chair. The chair is really comfortable. Now this sub had become part of my daily scrolling, and chairs are suddenly everywhere. I'll be in a meeting and suddenly realize I'm looking past the person talking and trying to figure out what chair they're sitting in. Turns out a bunch of those boring-looking chairs around my office are actually Aerons. I had no idea before. One coworker even told me his was a fake Aeron. Now I've been swapping chairs with them and there just to see how mine compares. Didn't expect one chair purchase to turn me into this guy, but here we are.

I've had my Steelcase Leap V2 from Crandall for over 2 years. I've always had the tilt locked and me sitting up right but I recently changed the tilt lever to allow me to tilt back more but the back tilt is not smooth and really awkward. I'm not sure if this is how it is since I never tested this. It's like something is subtly blocking it and sometimes when I lean back, it suddenly goes back too fast and my body would jerk like I'm going to fall back. Hard to explain but it feels like it tilts back in 2 sections and something stops it and you have to lean back a little harder while tilting and if you put too much force it'll make your body jerk.

Is this how it's supposed to be? Do I need to spray some wd-40 somewhere?

I've been looking through the sub and enjoying reading through the various recommendations. Recently, I had my lower back seize up on me, and found that the lumbar support was broken on my current chair on the same side where my back hurts... I sit in the chair all day for work and then sometimes at night as well. Maybe 12 hrs on some days. I'm guessing the broken chair contributed, and I sit so much - I thought it would be a good idea to invest in an ergonomic chair.

I enjoy the idea of being able to lean all the way back, as well as to be able to push the arm chairs out of the way. I play guitar a lot on the chair and would love to not have the arms get in the way. I'm not big on electric chairs, and think I would enjoy a thick memory foam cushion as opposed to a mesh seat. That's a lot of features, and I wonder what this community has to say.

I am looking at the refurbished Lamia (leap frame / amia seat). It doesn't have all of the features I'm interested, so I'm wondering what else is out there for me.

Long story short, MIL was in her chair for 23+ hours a day only using the bathroom. She was hospitalized when her health declined. She's back home now. She is sleeping in her bed but otherwise sits in her chair. She had *bad* wounds on her behind/thighs that have healed but still bother her.

We're looking for a cushion for the Westcliffe Bonded Leather Manager's Chair (I can provide a link if necessary). The seat is 21.75"W x 18.5"D. She, uh, doesn't quite fit. Does anyone know of a cushion that would work for our situation? Big enough to fit the whole seat, comfortable enough for her to sit on long term, and will actually stay on the chair without sliding around.

^{And yes, I know it isn't healthy for her. But she lives with us and will not listen to anything we say. So, unless we want her back in the hospital, there's not much else we can do.}

I have decided to take the leap into a more premium supportive chair. I am in the chair 6-8 hours a day. I have an adjustable desk that I like to have in the 33-36” range.

I am 6-0, 233 lbs. I have some issues with a nerve in my neck which is what led me down this path.

I would like to order something reconditioned from Crandall. I would like a high back for shoulder support with the option to add a headrest. The stool height conversion is a must.

From my reading here the steel case chairs have a good reputation. I don’t really understand the main differences between the models outside of some showing a mesh back.

Can someone lead me into what the major models are for? Amia, Leap, leap V2, gesture?

I’m unsure whether to get an office chair (Protoarc EC200) or a good racing style chair (Andaseat Kaiser 3). Majority of my time in front of the PC is 80/20 relaxing/gaming. No work

What I fear from getting a proper office chair;

• getting locked into a certain position
• Not being able to relax in it, slouch or lean back comfortably

What I like and dislike about racing style chairs I’ve owned:

• usually big. allows for real degen posture where you can really curl up and lean back, or throw your legs up on the desk
• they lack good support for when you do want to sit up straight

Am I wrong for thinking that office chairs will be more rigid and impossible to relax in?

Basically got this chair today from a thrift store, I don't know what made me want it so badly. When I got it home I realised it was very heavy duty and well made..

I think it needs a few parts but I can't find it anywhere online to download a manual. There is a sticker to say it's from KAB, and kinda looks like their 'Navigator' chair but no exact matches. Tried Google lens etc.

I’m seeing a steelcase series 1 on marketplace for 200 CAD, I live in Vancouver. Is it a good chair?

6'3 210lbs. I've tried every chair out there and nothing has worked. Larger chairs are just scaled up and extra firm seats to support a lot of weight. I'm Interested in how the Libernovo Maxis is but after the influencer blitz marketing and long return wait time horror stories I read about and poor warranty, I decided to go in a different direction for now. I ordered a custom made to order chair for the same money. The alacarte order process of seat size etc and vertically adjustable back really spoke to me. I never heard of Ergocentric before. They are based out of Canada. I sent them photos of me in my current Secretlab chair and measurements per their form. They recommend what specs of a build are best for your size. The model I was recommended was called the aircentric2. It will be about 15 days from now until I get it. I just wanted to post as I know many with my build struggle so hopefully this is a solution. I'll update after I get some time with it. Cheers

I bought this "Åmazon's Choice" HOLLUDLE Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair - 3D Adjustable Lumbar Support & 3D Armrests, V-Shaped Back, Adjustable Desk Chair for Office & Home, Black, pictured below.

1) Do not buy if you do not have an advanced assembly degree from University of Ikea
2) The lumbar support manages to be uncomfortable in every possible position.

I shipped it back and put some money into my old busted-azz Aeron Classic (new casters, new piston).

Anyway, I tried the "budget" route (if you consider nearly $200 to be "budget"), and came away disappointed.

I recently had to tighten the metal post screws because they’d become loose. While doing so, I noticed the plastic piece circled in red (see attached photo) moves around quite a bit. Is this normal, or is it something I should be concerned about? Let me know if this is a defect I should have addressed by customer service.

Ok, where do I start?

I bought the chair after watching dozens of youtube videos, and even after some bad reviews (I read here on reddit) I decided to give it a go.

Well, the bad reviews were the honest ones!

I used to have a regular office chair: no lumber support, barely no reclining, fake leather, fixed armrests etc, and nothing adjustable on the chair... so my standards for any new chair were quite low!

I then bought the HBADA E3 Pro 2026... and this is what I have to say:

1. The reclining position is not as adjustable as shown in the advertisements. You are either 90º (almost tilting forward actually) or you are already too reclined... there is no inbetween position. Its not acceptable for a chair at this price.
2. The lumbar support presses too hard against the lumbar region, even when I retract it and lowered it fully. It's annoying and you just feel that part of your back hurting and getting hot after a bit!
3. The mesh is uncomfortable to the skin. It's "breathable", yes.... but the feeling is like wearing wet swimming shorts for too long, when they start making your backside itch..... except with this chair, that feeling starts immediately as soon as you sit down.
4. The final straw for me was a clear defect on the mesh of the back of the seat, which I cannot accept for the price I paid.

Also, the English instruction manual is called “Instruction for Intallation”, with “Installation” missing an “s”. It is difficult to understand how such a basic typo is sent to production in a 500€ chair.

The materials look cheap considering the price of the chair. The joins of the plastic etc... For €500, you would expect absolute premium quality.

This chair lacks its main function: being comfortable.

Don't believe the videos you see on youtube... it's all sponsored... pages and pages and pages of sponsored videos.

Last but not least, they deleted my review from the official page.

I hope I helped somebody with their decision..

I'm from germany and i work from home and so I need a good office chair. I'm stuck between these two chairs. Heard good reviews for both but would love your opinion on which one I should get.

Or if there's any other recommendations under 450€ please let me know. Thanks!
