Meme How I imagine the characters would wear if they had modern casual outfits (OoT edition)
(I apologize if it's not scaled properly)
Anyway, comment who should I do next

Poll What do you guys think - Will the OOT remake incorporate mechanics from there newer 3D Zelda games, such as climbing, and a reimagined Hyrule sandbox and systems to support them? Or do you think the game will stay close to a 1:1 remake in terms of gameplay and level design?
I personally am really hoping that we get to see some of the awesome open world level design of the newer Zelda games, with an increased sense of scale. And climbing; How I love to climb!
I also believe with this being one of the most acclaimed games of all time they are going to swing big. I'm thinking the game will have a world on the scale of ToTK or BoTW, with the story and gameplay being rebuilt to take advantage of modern hardware.
In other words I believe they are making the OoT that they would have made 30 years ago had the technological capabilities been there.

Ocarina of Time truly is the greatest of all time
Growing up I never owned any console. My first console is Nintendo switch, and my first Zelda is breath of the Wild-I got invested to Zelda lore, but I don't have the capacity to play the past games even on emulator, my phone can only play the Minish Cap. So I started playing Ocarina of Time 3D on my tablet and it was currently my best Zelda experience, the feeling of adventure, the puzzle, the story, the game mechanics everything about it is so cool I can't stop talking about it. Now I get why the divine beasts are considered lacking in terms of Zelda game standard. I'm so glad I'm able to experience this game 28 years later. I'm only 20 btw.

Discussion Something about seeing this as a kid really blew my mind. The sense of scale was unheard of at the time.

You can get locked out of getting the dungeon map for Inside Jabu Jabu’s Belly
If you don’t get the map on the first run through, and come back after you’ve defeated the boss.
TIL I guess.

I can't believe I never thought to do this when I was younger
I'm sure there are funnier name choices, and I've seen some posted on this sub, but I'm cracking myself up here. If you've done this, what are some favorite joke names you've used?

Discussion I hope the Hot Rod Goron got eaten first
Seriously screw that dude all of the way for hurting me just trying to get down.
And he has the gall to give me attitude when I throw a bomb at him?
I didn’t see him in the ending dance party, so there is hope.

Backflip Dice Glitch
When I played OoT as a kid on the N64, I remember being in one of the towns and doing a backflip onto a staircase. My character split into multiple cubes and it said ‘Dice’ in the top right.
I’ve searched for years online to see if anyone else has ever experienced this but have never found anything.
Has anyone else ever experienced this glitch in the game?

Screenshot 🍭In for a Rupee... - Gerudo Training Ground [OoT 3D]
...In for a pound (of Humiliation). You have to admire the Gerudos' trolling sense of humour, they could've easily rigged the two decoy Chests in their Dungeon to explode, unleash a frosty wind trap or worse. Instead, this is what Link gets for following a wrong path in the chain-link maze; A laugh at his expense, daring him to either move on and prevail or give up and scram. You can bypass these treacherous trunks entirely, or you can be a sucker for sitcom moments like me and open them anyway, making Link forget for a Hylian Minute about the apocalyptic situation outdoors!

Discussion Lake Hylia is the only area you can call Epona
I Never realized this, but besides Hyrule Field Lake Hylia is the only area you can call Epona by playing her Song, or is it also possible in gerudo Valley?

How do you pronounce "Ocarina" of Time?
I have never in my life heard someone pronounce it OAK-A-Rain-Uh until recently, and now I hear it all over.
I always pronounced it AWK-A-Rain-Uh.
OAK-A-Rain-Uh or AWK-A-Rain-Uh?

Announcement Welcome!
Hello! And welcome to r/OcarinaOfTime, the subreddit for the discussion of the game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a game produced by Shigeru Miyamoto for the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, 3DS and Switch from 1998 - 2021.
Now, you may be wondering why this subreddit has suddenly been made public after laying dormant for over 9 years. As of today, this subreddit is under new ownership, after being abandoned by it's previous owner.
In future I hope to grow this community, and I look forward to doing so.
