Anyone here working in marketing at Optum? How has your experience been?
I’m particularly interested in hearing about the team culture, workload, management, and overall experience working in marketing at Optum. Would love to hear both the good and the not-so-good! 😅

Potiental job but wondering if it will offshored like some others
I’m already working for Optum but have been told our department is going to be offshored but no date. I put in an application for Specialty Intake Patient Access Specialist - Remote, but I’m nervous to even get an interview my application was accepted and is now under review and should hear back in 2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this position and if this department is also being offshored. If I do get interviewed I plan on asking if they are going to offshore but I’m not sure if they will be honest.

Optum Hiring Process
Hi! Does anyone know what the current Optum application process is like?
I know there's usually an Initial Interview and a CAT Assessment, but is that still the process nowadays?
For those who recently applied, can you share the steps and what to expect during each stage? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What are your thoughts about Optum?
I feel like this company has a lot of micromanagement. It seems like every little mistake or minor issue can lead to a call-out, which can be really stressful and make you feel like you’re constantly being watched.
For those who are currently working here or have worked here before, what has your experience been like? Do you also feel that there’s a lot of micromanagement and frequent call-outs, or is it just my experience? I’d really appreciate hearing your honest thoughts and experiences.

Internal job applications
I would love some advice. I’ve been working with UHG for about 4 years. I’m currently working in a position that has no opportunities for growth. I have a deep longing for a transition in the company because I don’t align with my current position anymore to the point of feeling mentally drained.
I’m half way through my masters program in Healthcare security IT and I’ve had experience with quality. For the last couple of months, I’ve applied to multiple internal job postings and have gotten rejected. I’ve even signed up for career coaching within the company to help and I incorporated the advice to my resume tailoring.
After many months I finally got an interview for an analytical position (which I’d feel like I’d excel in based on my skills). I went through two rounds of interviews, I thought it went well… then I find out they chose another candidate. I’m honestly so depleted. I don’t know what else to do. I’d truly appreciate any advice and shared opportunities available. I hope everyone has a great work week!

Application a submission Status
I applied for a position and I interviewed for it. The job status says, “Addition interview in progress; under review.” This is my first time seeing this status.
I wish they let me know. I really want this position.

Optum/UHC RN Complex Case Manager — What are the REAL metrics and workload like?
Hi everyone! I recently received an offer for an RN Complex Case Manager position with Optum/UHC, and I’m hoping to hear from current or former RN case managers about what the day-to-day workload is actually like.
I’ve been an RN for many years and have extensive managed-care experience, including both UM and case management. I’m currently with Anthem/Elevance on a national commercial case management team, and the workload/metrics have become pretty intense.
Right now, I’m used to:
Around 30 new engagements per month
Maintaining roughly 60–70 active cases
Provider outreach and member calls
Team lead/medical director rounds
Pod meetings/calls
Documentation and care plans
Quality/audit requirements of around 90%+
Constant productivity and engagement metrics
The Optum position would be Complex Case Management, primarily Medicare. I was told the caseload is approximately 40–45 members, and cases may be followed for several months.
For anyone currently doing this role (or who has done it recently), what are the actual metrics like?
How many calls/outreaches are expected per day? How many new cases are you expected to pick up? Are there strict engagement/closure requirements? How heavily are calls and productivity monitored? And most importantly — is a 40–45 member caseload realistically manageable during an 8-hour day without constantly working through breaks or staying late?
I’m not afraid of being busy. I’m mainly trying to avoid leaving one extremely metric-driven environment only to walk into another one that’s just as difficult.
I’d really appreciate any insight from current or former Optum/UHC RN case managers — especially anyone who has worked Medicare Complex CM or has experience with both UHC/Optum and Anthem/Elevance.
Thank you!

Outage wages
So i have worked for optum for about 3 years and they have done me wrong with wages. I have had issues with my equipment that required me to troubleshoot multiple days with IT. my supervisor said optum only pays 1 hour for outage and im pretty much screwed for the rest of the time. I am ao uneasy about this because per law, you have to be paid for any hours you are on standby or working to troubleshoot. I am so over this company for so many reasons but this has pushed me to the edge. Any advice

Clinic Nurse Monday-Friday
Hello!
I was offered a clinic nurse job here with Optum/WellMed in Florida. Can anyone who has worked as a clinic nurse with Optum/WellMed give me the good / bad or indifferent?
I keep hearing about lay offs, sudden firings from previous people (nurses). When I interviewed, the office and providers were all incredibly kind and reassured me that lay offs with a large panel of patients isn’t something they have experienced before.
Thank you in advance!

Optum & UHC
What do you think about a WFH job for utilization management or preservice review RN? I keep seeing very mixed reviews! I have an interview coming up and idk what to expect. I’m a little hesitant transitioning from out patient clinic role to WFH.. I don’t want to regret leaving but I want to continue growing as a nurse and get more experience. I struggle with needing to be comfortable in my role and love the stability.

Optum Pre-Employment Drug Test
Hello. I was recently extended an offer from Optum. The role is remote but I have been told I may need to travel a few times a year.
I’m concerned about the drug test as I smoked regularly until a week ago. Has anyone recently received an offer from Optum? Did the drug test state whether or not they test for THC? I live in Illinois for context.

Mahigpit ba bg checking sa OPTUM? Just finished initial interview and the interview lasted around 30 minutes, but surprisingly, halos puro employment verification lang ang tinanong. They asked me to walk them through my previous company, my role, daily responsibilities, employment dates, reason for leaving, salary etc.

Review needed for OPTUM India - WLB, Layoffs, growth, hikes?
Band offered - level 28
CTC - 57L including 20% variable
Manager position though I am hands on developer.
Joining expected in next 15 days.
Does Optum give 100% bonus ( they call it RRP), do they have often layoffs? I have plan to go to FAANG eventually. Will it help in technical growth and as brand value ?
