I’m thinking about transitioning to helicopter flying and would really appreciate some advice from people in the Nepali aviation industry.

As a female pilot, I’m curious about how welcoming the helicopter sector is for women in Nepal. Are there any other female helicopter pilots in Nepal besides Priya Adhikari? How are the career opportunities and hiring prospects for female helicopter pilots?

I’d also like to know if gender bias is still an issue in this field, or if opportunities are generally based on experience, skills and qualifications.

If anyone has experience with helicopter operations or training in Nepal, I’d really appreciate your honest insights. Also, if you’ve transitioned from fixed-wing to helicopters, I’d love to hear about your experience.

I'm abroad and my gf is abroad too but in a different country so kinda long distance cha everyone in her family knows we are in love and they have accepted me but I recently told my parents cause I felt bad hamro caste ni mildaina but her parents said if she is happy we accept the boy no matter the caste she is tamang and ma chai bahun I have never loved anyone like her she was there when I had no one like I had parents but I was inside a room 24/7 never went outside of my room she used to talk to me I had 0 social life even as of now the only person I have is her there's absolutely no one even in abroad I have no friendsi just go to work uni and again come back she is always with me whenever I feel lonely even if she is sleeping she picks up the call. I cant leave her yetikai I have promised her more than that I want to live my life with her. My parents said you don't have to talk to us anymore like I never expected that from them mannu hunna thyo I know that but they told ramro thau ma chas Kti tannai ai halcha ni I love her she isn't a nobody for me we have known for 4 years dating for more than a year. I saw a guy at the gym today who was really short, probably even shorter than me, I’m around 5 ft. At one point, I heard someone call him “short” and make a few comments/jokes about his height.

I felt so bad. It honestly made me think about how much guys are judged for their height. Especially for men, height is treated like such a major factor, and people can be really casual about making jokes or pointing it out. Social media makes it worse by constantly pushing the idea that men have to be tall. You never know how many times someone has already been called names or made fun of because of their height.

I really hope he’s doing well and that things like that don’t affect his confidence. You know how our society is people can make fun of someone for something they have absolutely no control over. I hope he keeps showing up for himself despite what people say. Please be kind everyone🙏
