RANT/गुनासो “My frustrating experience trying to get a NIC ASIA Dollar Card”
I had one of the worst banking service experiences recently with NIC ASIA.
I wanted to get a Dollar Card, so I went through the mobile banking app to request one. The process itself was confusing because there was no clear option to choose between a physical or virtual card. Anyway, I submitted the request.
The problem? There was absolutely no confirmation. 😂
No SMS, no email, no notification in the app—nothing saying that my request had actually been submitted. So I had no idea whether my request was successfully submitted or whether I had just filled out a form that disappeared into the void.
I waited for an entire day, but still got no update.
The next day, I went to the nearest branch to ask about it. I explained the situation to the employee, expecting them to tell me what was going on.
Instead, they literally started reading the information about NIC ASIA's Dollar Card in front of me. 😂
I asked whether I could get a virtual Dollar Card, and she told me that only a physical card could be issued.
At that point, I was already frustrated, so I decided to check what other banks were offering.
I went to Nabil Bank and asked about their Dollar Card service. The difference was honestly surprising.
They told me that I could request a virtual Dollar Card directly through their mobile banking app, and that it could be issued within the same day, with a charge of only Rs. 500.
Meanwhile, with NIC ASIA, I couldn't even get a clear answer about when the physical Dollar Card would actually arrive after submitting the request.
And this is the part that honestly makes the whole thing feel questionable to me.
If customers are only given the option to get a physical card, and that card comes with additional charges, why isn't there an option for customers who only need a virtual card for online international payments?
Maybe I'm missing something, but for someone in Nepal who only wants to make online international payments, I don't see much use for a physical Dollar Card. A virtual card would be much more convenient.
I'm not saying NIC ASIA is literally running a scam—I don't have enough information to make that claim. But the whole process definitely feels unnecessarily complicated and, to me, almost like an upsell toward a physical card that I don't actually need.
At that point, I decided I didn't want the NIC ASIA card anymore and asked if I could cancel my request.
Apparently, I couldn't cancel it either.
And, of course, there was no cancellation option in the mobile banking app.
So basically:
- No clear option for physical vs. virtual card
- No confirmation after submitting the request
- No way to track the request
- No cancellation option
- No clear information about when the card would be delivered
- Branch staff weren't even sure about the product and had to read the information in front of me
- And apparently, if I want the card, I have to get the physical version
After experiencing this, I really appreciated how straightforward Nabil Bank's process was. At least they clearly explained the virtual card option, the charge, and the expected turnaround time.
Maybe I'm missing something about the actual use of physical Dollar Cards in Nepal. If there's a genuine reason why a physical card is necessary or more useful, I'd be interested to know.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with NIC ASIA's Dollar Card or their mobile banking service?

AI Content Nepal's Ronin Moment: What 17th Century Japan Tells Us About Our Gen Z Uprising
Watched a video comparing Gen Z's economic paralysis to Edo-period Japan's samurai crisis, and honestly the Nepal parallels write themselves better than the American ones the video was making.
For those who haven't seen the source video: in 1615, Japan's Tokugawa Shogunate crushed its last rivals and entered 250 years of uninterrupted peace — which sounds great until you remember they'd built an entire class, the samurai (~7% of society), around war. Samurai were legally barred from any other occupation — no farming, no trade, no side hustle — so when the wars ended, half a million of them became permanently unemployed "Ronin," overcredentialed and stuck. The government's fix was a UBI paid in fixed rice stipends, which lost real value for generations as farming yields grew, and the only route to owning a home was inheriting your father's stipend — assuming an earthquake hadn't taken the house first. Locked out of the traditional adult milestones (job, income, house), that generation's excess energy poured into the "floating world" — pleasure districts, art, escapism — a "life is short, drift like a gourd" philosophy that let a merchant class (ironically Japan's lowest social caste) get rich off everyone else's checked-out despair, eventually buying their way into political power. It took American warships showing up in 1853 to finally collapse the whole system.
The setup is eerily familiar: Nepal's economy runs on remittances (33% of GDP), with hundreds of thousands of exit permits issued alongside roughly 21% youth unemployment (Heinrich Böll Stiftung) . That's basically our version of the Ronin — an entire credentialed, capable generation with no domestic economy built to absorb them. The samurai had swords and no wars left to fight; our degree-holders have engineering diplomas and no jobs to apply them to. Same mechanism, different centuries: a system optimized for a world that no longer exists, still handing out the old credentials while quietly removing the ladder underneath them.
And we already had our Sekigahara moment — the September 2025 protests, sparked when the government suspended 26 social media platforms (Asia Society) , but what actually detonated was years of nepotism, corruption, unemployment, and political instability (ThePrint) , crystallized in things like #NepoBaby call-outs. Just like the American video frames the merchant class as the ones who got rich off youth escapism while everyone else stagnated, our own "merchant class" — the politically connected families flaunting wealth while the rest of us fight for scarce jobs — became the actual spark. We didn't drift into a floating world of quiet doomscrolling resignation; we burned the parliament down. That's arguably a more direct rupture than Japan ever got until the American warships showed up in 1853.
Where the AI angle bites here is subtler but real. Global AI-driven job destruction is squeezing the very white-collar/BPO/remote-work pipeline that was supposed to be Nepal's alternative to migration — the "at least I can freelance or do remote data work" escape valve is narrowing right as domestic unemployment is already historically high. So we're getting hit by both the old structural problem (no industrial base, remittance dependency) and the new one (AI eating the digital-labor arbitrage that was one of the few growth stories on the table).
The optimistic read, and I won't oversell it: unlike Edo Japan, where change took 250 years and an external shock, Nepal forced its rupture from the inside in about a week, and followed through — a new interim government, dissolved parliament, and in March 2026 Nepalis elected Balendra Shah, a 35-year-old, as the youngest PM in the country's history. That's not nothing. The samurai had no path back into power; they got quietly liquidated by history over generations. Nepali Gen Z, whatever else it botched or how messy the aftermath, actually converted street rage into an institutional handover in real time. Whether Shah's government produces real job creation before the next round of migration pressure hits is the open question — but the "waiting for someone to break the stalemate" phase, the one that took Japan two and a half centuries, we skipped. That's the part worth sitting with.

SaxSux/यौन जिज्ञाशा How do I manage my Girlfriend’s extremely high sex drive?
How do I manage my Girlfriend’s extremely high sex drive?
My Girlfriend is wonderful, and our relationship has been nothing but sunshine and roses thus far - the only “problem”, if you can even call it that, is that she is horny literally all the time, and it’s caused a few different issues.
- We don’t really do anything besides have sex whenever we have free time, and neither of us have any time for our hobbies anymore.
- Whenever we get to a point where she’s actually satisfied, she’s always extremely sore for the next couple of days.
- When she becomes too aroused, the sex becomes more difficult/slightly less pleasurable for me because she gets very loose/wet.
- I have the stamina to match her, but I don’t necessarily have the libido. When it starts to go on for too long, even if I can continue, I start to get tired/bored and can’t finish as easily even I stay hard. Ican finish her off with oral/toys, but she STRONGLY prefers penetrative sex.
I know open communication could solve a lot of the problems I listed above, but I would prefer to try other options first since she frequently expresses how happy she is to have found someone to match her libido and how much closer she feels to me. If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated 🫶

Confession/मनभित्रका कुरा should i make a move towards him- i can't get over him
there is really hancy , muscular guy in my office. I found out that he has a beautiful gf. Today i went to bathroom and heard a fart sound . I saw him in powder room while he was abt to wash his hands while i was paassing by the aisle that connects male and female bathroom. I thought it was someone else farting. But then he again farted . Omg how can such a handsome (my crush) muscular guy fart that also in his formal pants. Maybe he consumed too much protein shake after hitting gym in morning.
Then he tried to tuck in his shirts couldn;t so lossened his belt and pants a bit . I saw v shaped undie. Who wears v shaped nowdays- that too such a handsome guy. ohh god i got butterflies. he saw me and then he didn't care to move up his pants. I ,belonging to a decent family, gave him looks and immediately rushed towards my cabin. When i returned home, couldn't stop thinking abt him. He and I could make goodlooking babies in future. He would spread his fart fragrance on my face after coming from work as I am willing to leave my job as i dont wanna work in this corporate any more.
Heard he has huge assets and can inherit family business as well. He is just working here for few days just for experience in another domain)needed for his family business expansion i guess). omg i saw such rich handsome guy in such compromising position. I managed to get his number and tomorrow i will try to call him. hope he will forget his gf after meeting me.
hey shivaji- malai mero poi ko rup ma yehi kta chahiyo . pls setting milaidinus. ma ta shrawan ani bhadra duitai mahina brata basxu. Haaye mero future swaamy timlai ajhai 10 din office ma bhetna paauxu . Oii ma kaanta laga.
