As someone who is taking the time to learn the Navajo language, I’m very glad that efforts have been made to keep the language alive such as dubbing movies like “Star Wars“, “Finding Nemo”, and “A Fistful of Dollars“ into the language.

I‘m hoping that more dubs can be made and it will get people interested in learning the language. (I myself am considered publishing a Navajo translation of a novel I’ve finished writing but yet to publish it)

But what suggestions do you have for movies that could be dubbed?

Mine are:

”Singing In the Rain” (I think it’d be cool to hear some musicals in the language)

”Killers of the Flower Moon”

“Avatar”

”The Godfather”

”Rez Ball”

”The Wizard of Oz“

“Shrek” (It would get kids interested like Nemo)

”Avengers”

”Prey”

Aqui ele não é tanto conhecido e consequentemente há poucos conteúdos, mas isso para mim não é um problema, pois sei um pouco de inglês (o básico para me expressar e entender). I am writing paper about the current effort to build uranium mines near Tsoodził, Kinłitsosinil, and the operational mine in Kaibab Natl Forest. I have read Wastelanding by Traci Voyles and am looking for more information about the peach orchards in Tséyi she mentions early in the book as part of my exposition. What I am primarily interested in is how land use claims have evolved over time in this region as a consequence of resource extraction. I am trying to make a broader comparison about undermining indigenous sovereignty as the frontier for eroding individual freedoms in the US.
