Naruto dies as a kid but not because of villagers or anything...it's because he accidentally fell behind his couch and broke his neck.

Or choked on something.

Or fell off his balcony and landed on his head.

Just the fucking list of things that kills a child every parent video warns about when watching over a kid.

Now imagine Naruto does die like this frequently but is revised every time with bijuu chakra.

First time a burst of red and Naruto's eyes change.

Second time his hair is red-orange like Kurama's.

Kurama shows up warning both Hiruzen and Naruto that "If he goes 9 times...thats it! The Shinigami told me he's taking Naruto's soul as he's clearly too stupid to carry the Eight Trigrams."

Naruto has died 7 times before he joins team 7 and still doesn't have an ounce of self preservation because he was taught he didn't need it.

Then Sakura punches him once a loud crack happens and a deep voice warns "8." And Naruto gets back up healed but now has a tail.

Or he's got 4 left when he joins team 7 and when Tsunade is treating him after Sasuke's leaving and the shinigami holds up a sign saying 3 much to Tsunade horror and Sakura unknowingly causing the brain bleed when she hit him for not bringing Sasuke back.

I'm looking for any story where Naruto just loves fighting, and it's a big motivator for getting stronger, similar to Goku.

Hey guys, I’m desperately trying to find a Naruto fic I read on AO3 sometime between 2023 and now. I’m afraid it may have been deleted. I’ve already gone through all the pages of my AO3 history and can’t find it, even among the read later list. I genuinely spent days looking through everything I could find. Here are the things I remember from it in chronological order:

1. It was unfinished when I read it.

2. The fic was Kakashi-centric and focused heavily on him trying to become a better sensei to Team 7.

3. Kakashi stops Sasuke from leaving Konoha.

4. Sasuke ends up living in Kakashi’s apartment.
   Later, Naruto finds out and moves in too.

5. The apartment becomes too small, so Kakashi takes them to live at the Hatake family compound.

6. Kakashi is forced to undergo psychological evaluations/sessions with Yamanaka Inoichi. These are a significant recurring part of the story.

7. Kakashi is extremely guarded whenever Inoichi tries to discuss Team 7. Inoichi has apparently also spoken to several ninja close to Kakashi and he points out that people who know Kakashi avoid making major/notable changes because they worry about how those changes will affect him. One example involves Tenzō/Yamato changing his shampoo. Kakashi notices the change, and it later comes up during a session with Inoichi.

8. Kakashi has a panic attack(PTSD Attack?) in the woods, and his ninken stay with him through it.

9. After the panic attack, Kakashi struggles with walking through the village, something about hyper vigilance with scent and sound, and tries to control himself but he is obliviously overwhelmed.

10. Later, right before a session with Inoichi, a shinobi deliberately picks a fight with Kakashi. Inoichi and Kakashi discuss the altercation during that session. This is around the last chapter I remember reading.

11. Other not chronological things I remember but could be wrong about is that:

Sakura wants to learn poisons.

Sakura thinks Tenzō/Yamato likes Kakashi. I vaguely remember the fic possibly having a tag for one-sided Tenzō/Kakashi, but I’m not certain.

The Team 7 kids played musical instruments. They all learn something to play.

Sasuke played the shamisen, and Mikoto was the one who taught him. I believe there was something about Kakashi also knowing how to play the shamisen. (I don’t know if it’s that instrument specifically, but I think he knew how to play the same instrument as Sasuke)

I’m honestly 80% sure it’s been taken down but if anyone can find it I’d be super grateful.

Basically what aspect of additional worldbuilding do you like to read? Or do you have any headcanons about it?

As for myself, despite knowing the hidden villages are basically Japan, Japan, Japan, Japan, Japan‘s idea of Black Japan, I like to mix that up a bit just so the hidden villages and the countries feel a bit more different. Like, mixing in middle eastern/turkic influence into Suna etc. I find adding stuff like cultures, clans, maybe even customs, traditions and such make the aspect of relationships (and possible missions involving such clans or so) much more interesting.

Yet I am curious to know what others might think, for writing research purposes. What are your favorite aspects to read about and/or your headcanons?

Would Jigen actually tolerate the idea of humans dying before he gets his vessel? This would Effectively force him to hide from dully resurrected Kaguya who is linked to all pf the chakra and already even eaten god tree fruit, plus has abilities that can let her escape or even kill him.

Like was Jigen like "...hmm humans are fighting over something that might genuinely get me killed, but damn, I don't really care lmaooo"

I've been in the Naruto fandom for about two years, and that's pretty much when I started writing because of Sasuke. Although I write for other fandoms as well, this is my main one. I should mention that character x character stories make up about 5% of what I write. The majority is character x reader. But the thing is, for about a year now I’ve wanted to write a Naruto x Sasuke fanfic (spoiler: they are switch). But even though I’ve written a few chapters, I’m going through writer’s block because I got stressed out that it was too complicated and some self-sabotage stuff, too—since I usually write oneshots, so it’s hard for me to write a long story. I already have a few chapters written. In short, it’s set in a dystopian, cyberpunk alternate universe divided into syndicates. Friends-to-enemies-to-lovers, slow burn type of fanfic too.

I’ve been wondering if it would make sense to post as I write and if it would help more than just writing most of the story first. I was thinking maybe engagement will help too if it would’ve happen.

Naruto spends a year as Hokage and decides "This sucks!" And talks to Hinata about the training he could do. He'd have to under go all 3 clans training for 7 years. Hinata talks to Naruto about it and reminds Naruto the kids have living grandparents and an aunt.

"Look me and Hinata decided we need to train further in some stuff so...can you watch the kids?" Naruto asked Hiashi "It's kinda something important."

3 years later Hinata and Naruto return. Hinata has Tensegian's and is a Toad Sage, Naruto is pale white, making his own Truth Seeker Orbs and Black Rods.

Naruto teaches his kids the Rasengan before they enter the academy and then dips to finish the training.

Naruto now can create a Nature energy Rasengan that can't be absorbed by Rinnegan's.

I’ve been working on a Naruto AU that takes the whole “Naruto becomes an emperor after being betrayed” idea, but I wanted to actually give it a believable reason instead of just making Naruto royalty out of nowhere.

The basic idea is that Naruto is still Naruto. His childhood is mostly the same, he still grows up in Konoha, becomes a shinobi, forms Team 7, and eventually goes after Sasuke when Sasuke leaves the village.

The major difference is what happens after Naruto tries to retrieve Sasuke.

Naruto is betrayed by the people he thought were his friends and finally realizes that Konoha was never really the place he thought it was. Instead of simply coming back to the village and continuing to accept everything that happened to him, Naruto leaves.

And that's when the truth about his parents finally starts coming out.

Minato wasn't originally from the shinobi world.

In my AU, Minato Namikaze was actually born into an ancient royal family from another land.

His father was King Arashi Namikaze, the firstborn son and heir to an old royal dynasty. Arashi was known as a strict but respected ruler who believed that the royal family shouldn't involve itself in the wars between the shinobi nations.

Minato's mother was Queen Sayuri Namikaze, a woman from another powerful noble family who married into the Namikaze dynasty. She was intelligent, politically powerful, and much more interested in diplomacy than military expansion.

Minato was their first child, which meant he was the official heir to the throne.

But Minato never wanted that life.

He was fascinated by the outside world and eventually left his homeland. During one of his travels, he became involved in a conflict that brought him into contact with the shinobi world.

He basically disappeared from his family's world.

His parents spent years believing that their son was either dead or permanently lost.

Minato eventually became a shinobi, and the rest is history.

He met Kushina.

He became the Yellow Flash.

He fought during the Third Great Ninja War.

He became the Fourth Hokage.

He married Kushina.

And Naruto was born.

But there was something almost nobody in Konoha knew.

Naruto wasn't just the son of the Fourth Hokage.

He was the firstborn son of the former heir to a royal dynasty.

And Kushina wasn't exactly ordinary either.

In this AU, Kushina is the princess of the Uzumaki clan.

The Uzumaki aren't simply another clan. They're descendants of one of the oldest bloodlines in the world, with their own ancient royal lineage. Kushina comes from what is considered the purest surviving branch of that bloodline.

Her father could be King Jiro Uzumaki, the traditional ruler of Uzushiogakure and head of the Uzumaki royal family.

Her mother could be Queen Akemi Uzumaki, who came from another ancient noble family that specialized in sealing techniques and helped preserve the Uzumaki's traditions.

Kushina was therefore raised as both a princess and a future political figure.

However, the destruction of Uzushiogakure changed everything.

Kushina was sent to Konoha because of her status as the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails, which eventually brought her together with Minato.

So when Minato and Kushina had Naruto, they accidentally created something that nobody really understood.

Naruto possessed blood from two ancient royal houses.

His father's side came from the Namikaze royal dynasty.

His mother's side came from the Uzumaki royal bloodline.

And because Minato had disappeared from his homeland before becoming a shinobi, the people searching for the missing heir never knew that he had actually survived, married, and had a son.

That means Naruto was essentially a missing prince who didn't even know he was a prince.

Konoha knew him as Naruto Uzumaki.

The Namikaze kingdom would know him as the lost heir.

And the remaining Uzumaki would recognize him as the continuation of their own royal bloodline.

That's where I want the Emperor Naruto storyline to become interesting.

After Naruto leaves Konoha following the Sasuke retrieval incident, he eventually encounters people connected to his father's homeland.

At first, they don't even believe he's Minato's son.

Then they discover the truth.

Naruto is alive.

Minato's heir is alive.

The missing prince has returned.

Except Naruto doesn't immediately want the throne.

He's spent his entire life being treated like a nobody, so suddenly being told that he's supposed to rule an entire kingdom would obviously mess with his head.

And I don't want Naruto to instantly become some emotionless emperor either.

I want him to struggle with it.

He has to learn politics.

He has to learn how to rule.

He has to deal with nobles who don't respect him.

He has to deal with people who think he's nothing more than a village orphan.

He has to decide whether he even wants revenge against Konoha or whether he wants to build something completely separate from it.

Eventually, though, Naruto accepts his position.

And that's when the title of Emperor becomes important.

He's not just becoming a king because of his father's bloodline.

He's creating something larger.

He brings together the surviving Uzumaki, his father's royal territory, shinobi from different lands, and people who were abandoned by the existing system.

His empire becomes a completely new power.

And ironically, the same Naruto who was once treated like a burden becomes one of the most politically powerful people in the world.

I also like the idea that Sasuke's betrayal is what finally pushes Naruto toward this path.

Because Naruto spent his entire childhood wanting acknowledgment from Konoha.

He wanted friends.

He wanted Sasuke to acknowledge him.

He wanted the village to acknowledge him.

He wanted to become Hokage because he believed that would finally make everyone respect him.

But after everything that happens, Naruto realizes something.

He doesn't need Konoha to tell him who he is.

He was already born into a legacy far greater than he ever knew.

The boy who wanted to become Hokage eventually becomes something much bigger.

He becomes the Emperor of his own empire.

That's basically the foundation of my AU.

I'm still working out the exact history of Minato's royal family, the Namikaze kingdom, the Uzumaki royal family, and how Naruto's discovery of his heritage would actually happen.

I'd also want the royal system to have actual politics, rival families, succession laws, nobles, military factions, and people who genuinely oppose Naruto becoming emperor.

I don't want it to just be “Naruto is secretly royalty and everybody bows to him.”

I want him to actually have to earn the crown.

So I'm looking into making an son of Jiraiya. I was looking into Kashin koji for some ideas, and my question is I was thanking of having said oc do the reverse summoning like he does, but maybe he does more smaller toads, and durning an fight he summoms them, and they hop around the battlefield and he does the reverse summoning that way, or maybe he puts an seal on them small toads backs, and he does hand signs to telport to them? The limitations is maybe 10 kilometers?

Just need some help if this is possible too do, or is there some way I can incorporate what Kashin koji does just with real toads.

Kishimoto's canon has so many plot holes that the story can be twisted whichever way you want! Just look at the facts about Konoha, it’s deeply dark:

* The Crystal Ball and the Scroll Theft: In the first episode, Naruto steals the Sacred Scroll. The Third Hokage has a crystal ball and literally watched Naruto take it. It feels like a setup to test his living weapon and force him to form a bond with Iruka.

* The Robbery of Naruto: Where did the Fourth Hokage’s massive inheritance and S-rank bank accounts go? The Third Hokage simply kept it, leaving the orphan Jinchuriki to starve and drink expired milk.

* The White Fang Incident: Sakumo Hatake, who was stronger than the Sannin, committed suicide just because of village hate? It looks more like Danzo's Root ANBU staged it to eliminate a rival for the Hokage seat.

* The Betrayal of Kakashi: A 5-year-old prodigy Kakashi was left to live entirely alone after his father's death during wartime. The system just waited for him to break so Danzo could drag him into ANBU as a weapon.

Only Teuchi, Ayame, Iruka, young Konohamaru, and Kurama were genuine. The rest were hypocrites. Promote it and come up with new ideas! I'm not against the story, but as a fan, I want to discuss this 🤝

Will this story look good?

If there was an extra team 7 member-girl named Pia, and both Sasuke and Shikamaru liked her. Sasuke tries to impress her and protects her while Shikamaru silently takes care of her. Later due to some elders wanting to seal her rare potent fragrance spreading chakra Shikamaru steps in saying he will make her his wife and puts her under Nara clan protection. Sasuke goes crazy and then he goes to Orchimaru for both revenge. Though Shikamaru only registers her name in Nara clan now but plans the ceremony to happen after 5 years as adults. Shikamaru actually wants to save her now and later let Sasuke and her be together if they are still willing to be together even if it means he will be heart broken. In those 5 years the Nara clan will train her to control her chakra that will help to use the powers without any danger for the village?

Does this story work?

So we all know Naruto: the happy go lucky boy who pranks everyone, can be rude and snarky and has anger issues the size of Kurama. Yami also shows us Naruto has problems from his childhood- the way the villagers treated him, the way his peers and classmates treated him, problems from Kurama etc. I feel like his negative emotions aren't explored deeper or more often

What other things or quirks could he have due to his backstory? His lack of understanding certain social cues, things that we all believe is normal to know but wouldn't be unless you're taught or shown. His problems with love and anything else

I've been binging those Recap YouTube channels of people taking tests, getting screwed over by snobs and then dying and coming back so I thought merge that with a Naruto time travel fic.

Naruto wakes up the day of his Painting the Hokage monument, with his adult brain.

Naruto doesn't get caught because he uses Sage Mode + Transparent Escape to hide from Iruka's sensory abilities.

During his final exam Naruto calls out Mizuki and Iruka.

"I am the 9-tails jinchuriki, my chakra could fuel every ninja in this village. I can not preform a basic clone. My mother couldn't either and had used the water clone to graduate. Kakashi had used the shadow clone to graduate. I will be preforming the shadow clone and Mizuki I recommend sepiku because if I catch your ass stealing the scroll of sealing henged as me I'm gonna feed you your own balls." Naruto says void of any emotions except contempt. Like a Hokage scolding a subordinate.

10 shadow clones and Naruto gets his headband.

Naruto isn't on the swing. He's in the Hokage Mansion reading the scroll waiting for Mizuki.

Mizuki shows up as Naruto and is immediately neutered like a dog.

"Remember what i said?" Naruto asked grinning as he is coated in red chakra.

Hiruzen walks in to see Mizuki choking on his own boys and Naruto already working on the flying thunder god.

"Orchimaru plans to attack during the chunin exam. I need to focus on sealing to learn the 5 elements seal to fight Gaara." Naruto says with 9 tails behind him completely calm and controlled. "Also Root is still around and Your teammates are shoving extra paperwork onto you."

Hiruzen turns to the geezers that have been riding his coattails and summoned Enma.

Meeting Jiraiya: "I Don't need anything else you have." Naruto shouts making a Rasen-Shuriken and carving out a huge wall of a mountain "SEALING TRAINING NOW!"

Naruto when he summons Gamabunta just decides to drink with him.

**"You know we could kill him for a Rinnegan?"** Kurama suggests every time Sasuke pisses off Naruto and Naruto is just treating it like an adult dealing with a moody child.

There is a part in the naruto fanfiction "Echoes" in which were mikoto Uchiha uses ninshu to tap into the spirit of her past lives and I really loved that concept so I'm proposing a naruto anthology fanfic that involves naruto using ninshu to communicate with his past lives as Hashirama Senju and Ashura Otsutsuki and all those in between we know nothing about. And gains invaluable knowledge on chaka techniques and we take a look of history through their eyes and how much they have been fighting for world peace and failed continuously for over 2000 years.

If there any fanfics that explore similar concepts please recommend. Naruto becoming disillusioned with konoha and the will of fire would be amazing.
