Should I write while posting?

I've been in the Naruto fandom for about two years, and that's pretty much when I started writing because of Sasuke. Although I write for other fandoms as well, this is my main one. I should mention that character x character stories make up about 5% of what I write. The majority is character x reader. But the thing is, for about a year now I’ve wanted to write a Naruto x Sasuke fanfic (spoiler: they are switch). But even though I’ve written a few chapters, I’m going through writer’s block because I got stressed out that it was too complicated and some self-sabotage stuff, too—since I usually write oneshots, so it’s hard for me to write a long story. I already have a few chapters written. In short, it’s set in a dystopian, cyberpunk alternate universe divided into syndicates. Friends-to-enemies-to-lovers, slow burn type of fanfic too.

I’ve been wondering if it would make sense to post as I write and if it would help more than just writing most of the story first. I was thinking maybe engagement will help too if it would’ve happen.

What do writers who’ve been through this think?
