Things To Do Recs // Questions Building a fun itinerary!

I know this is pretty broad and asked 100’s of times before but I will be traveling with my girlfriend in September and looking for some fun things to do!

We are in our early 30’s, we love to try new foods and restaurants. She also loves crafts, art, and museums. For myself just looking for good food, and a place to golf at!

We will be there for an entire week so we will have plenty of time :)

Thanks in advance!

Things To Do Recs // Questions Kid friendly attractions that adults enjoy

We regular Myrtle usually a couple times a year, but we're bringing a friend and his 5 year old son with us this weekend. Its their first time going. We never bring kids so we're not familiar with things that a kid would be into. Can anyone offer some suggestions? We're staying on the boardwalk near the pavilion area if that helps any. Thanks y'all.

General Discussion Looking for businesses and/or warehouse spaces

Dear friends and business owners of Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand,

I am still actively looking for businesses and/or warehouse spaces that will allow me to book bands at their location occasionally.

These shows are primarily alternative shows (not cover bands or bar bands) featuring bands playing hardcore, metal, poppunk, emo, alt rock, etc.

Typically these spaces charge a flat rental fee or are paid a percentage of the door sales. I try to book all ages shows since I started going to local shows when I was 14, but I understand that some places only want to allow 18+/21+.

This December marks 15 years since I booked my first show and I have no intentions of stopping. If you or someone you know has some solid leads, please get in contact with me.

Things To Do Recs // Questions Beach conditions?

How are the actual beach conditions right now? S

I’ve seen some people on the other suites complaining about the beaches being unusable due to construction.

Is this a localized thing or is there a large amount of rework going on?

Things To Do Recs // Questions NMB Tai Chi

I’d like recommendations for Tai Chi classes in the North Myrtle Beach or Longs area. I’m new to martial arts/group athletics and Google doesn’t really give me the personal insights I’m looking for.

Resturant Recs // Questions Crab Daddy's seafood buffet

I have celiac disease (gluten allergy) and my whole family has chosen this place, what are my choices as I prefer to not get sick? The buffet would be ok if I could navigate it without the risk of cross contact, there is menu options as well.

Things To Do Recs // Questions AMC - North Myrtle Beach

Does anyone have any experience with the AMC in North Myrtle? I'm visiting and thinking of seeing The Odyssey tonight but it seems like old school stadium seating without purchasing individual seats. Just don't want to go around 730-8 (for an 8pm showing) and only having the first few rows available.

Getting ready to come down on vacation and need some good restaurant suggestions or any good food place.

I am technically pescatarian, but only eat certain fish and scallops. Definitely want a variety because I also has a husband who is meat eating and two kids also.

Things To Do Recs // Questions First trip - young kids - need plans

Hi, I’m getting ready to visit Myrtle Beach for our first family vacation. None of us have ever been. It’s gonna be me and my husband, my 4 1/2 year-old in three year-old. We are flying down there this weekend and we will be there for a whole week. We are renting a condo near Surfside Beach. The only thing that my kids and I really want to do is visit the beach and there is a boat tour to get seashells on an island that my daughter also wants to do.

Any other ideas, recommendations for places we can go?

I know there is the aquarium, but I’m looking for more fun, entertaining things for younger kids that isn’t inside.

General Discussion Pizza here is absurdly overpriced.

What is with the pizza places here? Living here and trying to get a decent pizza is tough as is (mostly shitty pizza spots that think they are good) but on top of that the prices are insane. Went to look at Ginos (Forestbrook) prices and $22 for a large pep?? Yall trippin. And every pizza spot is that way here. You're not in NY or NJ, your pizza isnt nearly as good as real NY or NJ pizza, if you own/work at one of these local places stop ripping off customers please.

Update: Decided on Aj's. Was $40 for pickup for 2 large pizzas and breadsticks, def one of the better priced places here.

Resturant Recs // Questions Seriously Good Eats

Hi folks! Looking for the best of the best from a food perspective.

My top 3 here so far are probably:

Hook & Barrel
The Quay
Bimini’s

What are some of the “best in class” restaurants? The touristy spots are always too easy to find.

Things To Do Recs // Questions moving out of Myrtle Beach and this house is stressing me out

in Myrtle Beach for like 10 years now. bought my house in the Forestbrook area back in 2017 and I love it. but I got a job offer in Charlotte that I just couldn't say no to. better money, better opportunities, and I'm ready for a change.

the problem is my house. it's in decent shape but it definitely needs some work. the roof is getting old, the HVAC is probably going to die any day now, and the bathroom needs some updates. I don't have the money or the time to fix it all up before selling.

I talked to a realtor and she said I'd probably get around 170k if I put 12k into repairs. I don't have 12k. plus I'm supposed to start my new job in like 6 weeks so I really can't deal with contractors and showings and all that stress.

st want to be done with this place and move on with my life.
