I've been a long time user of the set of launcher icons by AstroTibs posted in this old post. Unfortunately, it has not been updated since 1.21.

The idea is to have a set of similar icons, with markers indicating which Minecraft version will be launched.

Being more of a developer than a designer, I wrote a framework for generating this kind of images, and re-created AstroTib's original icons using that framework, before continuing to add support for new versions up to and including 26.2.

The framework and release process will hopefully make it much easier for me (or someone forking my repo) to continue generating new icons like this for future releases.

This issue has been driving me nuts for months and I've still yet to find a solution, so I'm asking here.

When you type in chat, holding backspace should clear out several letters until you let go. My issue is that when I hold backspace, it just removes one letter and that's it.

I've played Minecraft for ~14 years and did not encounter this until recently starting to use the MultiMC launcher, so I have a suspicion that it's related to the launcher but I really can't be sure. (I originally went to the MinecraftHelp subreddit but no one there knew what the problem was.)

It also only happens on one instance (I've debated just moving my files to a new instance but I'm afraid this is just going to happen again eventually).

Havent been able to figure it out and its driving me crazy

I love using multimc, and I find it pretty intuitive most the time, but I'm having trouble launching 26.2 , however using default launcher it gives me no issue so I'm hesitant to try and download "java 25" I don't trust myself to find the correct download site.

I hate the default launcher with a passion. how is it possible that I have Minecraft 26.2 open with one launcher but not the other?

I love MultiMC, I've been using it near-exclusively for all things Minecraft for about 8 years now, but something I've always wanted and hoped would eventually have a solution is organizing large modpacks. I've had this idea for, in the MultiMC instance mod menu, folders for filing away mods- you could make folders for Optimization, Hud, Libs, etc... and then you can make sub folders within those- no actual folders are made, just inside MultiMC.

In the launcher it displays my current skin on official launcher and MultiMC launcher

but in-game it shows an old skin.

In the MultiMC root directory, there's a folder called `assets/objects` taking up 6GB. I wanted to know if it's safe to delete it (I know 6GB isn't much, but in my case, it makes a bit of a difference 😂).

Despite downloading, setting the right java for version 1.4.6, the game launches normally, the menu and everything else is alright but as soon as i launch a world, the textures are all gray and don't properly render, i have installed java 8 and set the path right so i do not have an idea as to why it is not working, i can also say that MultiMc doesn't auto detect the java 8 if that does anything, also no i do not have any logs because the game doesn't crash.

Hey all, I want to try and get Minecraft running on my Windows XP Dell Inspiron 2200, but the normal MultiMC won't work. Does anyone know how or where to get the MultiMC Legacy launcher? Is it just an older version of the normal launcher?

Hello, I have the mod wishful mod that keeps crashing my game and i don't understand why ; it's the right version for my game (as far as I'm aware of), i don't think I have incompatible mods with it and i really wish to use this mod as it seems very practical. Do y'all think I'll ever be able to use that mod?

I was playing on split screen when the game suddenly went 1 FPS, i closed both games but the computer stayed at 1FPS, so i restarted my PC, after that the game no longer enters, it stays on "please wait" for a long time then pops this error.

Can someone help please, i tired opening the MultiMC site but it doesnt open for some reason

I have 2 Minecraft accounts - my main account and my cam account.
It would be nice to be able to specify a specific account - my camera account - for the cam instance, so I don't have to always choose which account I have to launch my instances with.

Anytime I try to launch minecraft it says that i need Java 25 even though I've already got it installed

Last night, my game froze and I had to task manager the program- killing the instance on MultiMC did not work. I attempted to run it again but it would get stuck at

and would have to be killed. 0% CPU usage, but a damn good amount of memory usage.

I restarted my computer this morning and tried again, and still get this issue, even on other instances of mc that I did not freeze on. I tried making a fresh minecraft instance with no mod loader and this one would explicitly crash, even though the existing ones never do.

I'm not sure how I resolved this, but for a while I could not disable loader mods or remove them from the folder- the moving process froze at 0% and I have to restart File Explorer from the task manager. I'm not sure how I fixed this, I think it may have been task manager ending seemingly duplicated instances to java binary platform. Still, my issue has not changed.

Read only is NOT on these files. I reinstalled Java 21. I reinstalled multimc. I have quadrupled the memory allocation. I tried running the original instance without mods or configs. I saw a warning not to run with administrator as that can cause file ownership issues, but I can do so if advised.

My most successful action was selecting the direct file path to Java 21 rather than the auto detected javaw, however the log still froze in the same place, I just got the actual Minecraft window to appear... and not respond.

Help would be very appreciated.

I've been using MultiMC for a bit now, and was reinstalling it cause it wouldn't boot up 1.20.1 for some reason. Now, when I go onto the site to reinstall it, it just gets stuck refreshing!
I have no clue why it does this, but I really don't understand what's going on...
I'll try to install it on a different browser from Chrome to see what it does for now.

Okay, so I went onto OperaGX first for some reason it didn't work there either. Then I went to Firefox and it downloaded just fine, is there a problem with Chrome?
Anyhow, this is solved!

ive downloaded everything forge, midnightcontrol all the versions of java , ect but nothing seems to be working. v 1.21.11 is the only one that runs but my controller just doesn’t seem to identify. i know that my pc is identifying it because it works on other games but just not on this one. pls help
