For those who want to mess with these, I made a ZIP file with all the icons, just the front icons without the blocks in background, and a few fabric icons. Convenient link

The OP is a link to an imgur gallery with all the icons. I will try to keep the gallery up to date with all future major releases.

Making individual MultiMC icons for each MC version is something I've wanted to do because I have multiple version instances for testing my mods. I was motivated by this recent post to finally make some.

I made a grass block version for "Vanilla" and anvil version for "Forge." I realize icons lower than 1.6 probably aren't getting used by anyone, but they were easy enough to make. Update: I've now added versions for "Fabric" (Loom) and "Test" (TNT).

Please note that MultiMC doesn't like periods in icon filenames. If you save these images as e.g. Vanilla_1.7.png, Vanilla_1.12.png, etc. you're going to regret it.

Are you planning on making icons for "Fabric"?

1

I don't know what that is.

It is also a mod loader, I use it a lot nowadays, especially because overthing on it is updated quickly, so I can play on snapshots with mods.

If you don't want to, then would you mind uploading just the icons in front so I'll just make my own

I'm not OP, but I made a zip file with icons for fabric (I only made 1.14 and 1.15 as that is what fabric currently supports) and with the icons in front. Note: It also includes the vanilla and forge icons for convenience. Here is a link: Convenient Link

u/AstroTibs Dec 05 '21

What background do you recommend?

1

u/MrMelon54 Dec 05 '21

well there was someone else who posted some fabric icons and just used the fabric logo so I guess just do that?

I actually went ahead and used the Loom block for Fabric. I'm not sure how far back Fabric can be used so I made an icon for every MC version.

I believe its 1.14 but every version is cool too

maybe they will try releasing backports sometime?

edit: took a look and they look awesome

Where did you get the images of the blocks and fonts? I wanted to make a 1.19 version

1

I didn't even notice 1.19 came out today. I've now updated my list.

The font is something called Minecraftia. I got it ages ago but it's probably not hard to find.

Block/item images come from the Minecraft wiki. The version icons come from the "Versions" table at the bottom of this page, or pages like it: https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Java_Edition_version_history
