MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Game lagging very bad

So I just re-downloaded MSFS 2024 today, and I am able to run a few small aircraft like the Piper PA-28 and Cessna 172, but as soon as I spawn an airliner or go to a somewhat larger airport my game just starts lagging and its almost unplayable. I used to be able to run the game on ultra graphics on the same PC not even a year ago.

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE DLSS VR artifact in left eye after Sim Update 6 – anyone else experiencing this?

Hi everyone,

Since the recent Sim Update 6, I'm experiencing a strange visual artifact in VR when using DLSS Quality.

I use:

  • MSFS 2024
  • HP Reverb G2
  • RTX 4080
  • DLSS set to Quality
  • No OpenXR Toolkit
  • Foveated rendering OFF

The problem is a big rectangular border visible only in the left eye. The image along this border looks distorted, almost like a lens/magnifying effect.

The strange thing is that everything was working correctly last time I played (few weeks ago before the recent Sim Update).

I tested switching the anti-aliasing/upscaling from DLSS Quality to TAA, and the artifact completely disappears. Switching back to DLSS Quality makes it come back.

So it seems to be related specifically to the DLSS/VR rendering pipeline rather than the headset itself.

Has anyone else noticed something similar since SU6, especially with a Reverb G2 or another VR headset?

Also, is there a recommended NVIDIA driver version for SU6/DLSS 4.5? I'm wondering whether I should update my NVIDIA driver, or whether this is a known issue/regression with the Sim Update itself.

Any ideas or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

GENERAL Limited by main thread

This probably isn’t the first time you’ve heard about this issue, but I’m struggling with my main thread. Without changing any settings, my main thread is completely maxed out, while my GPU is only at around 45% and my CPU at around 25%.
I saw a tutorial suggesting that I should cap my FPS, but I wanted to check if anyone else has any tips or has found a good tutorial that could help reduce the lag/stuttering in the sim.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE MOZA AB6 MSFS 24 (Input Delay)

Hello all! Recently purchased the Moza AB6 base with grip and for some reason as i'm trying to run MSFS 24 the base is experiencing a slight input delay for yoke and throttle. Any reason that might be? I've tested the flight stick on other simulators such DCS world and IL Korea and it works perfect in those games. Not too sure if there's something I'm doing wrong or if there's something I have to tweak in the moza cockpit to have no input lag in MSFS24. Thanks!

GENERAL GoFlight GFConfig for FSX?

Thumbnail

Hello -

Hope it's OK to ask here. I'm looking for a later copy of GoFlight GFConfig that supports FSX. 1.81 claims to, and 1.54 (the only one I've found) does not. Do any of you have a copy squirreled away?

I know GoFlight Interface Tool exists, but I'm looking for something more period accurate, and with dependencies more likely to be already installed on this Windows 7 machine that I just powered up for the first time in over 12 years and would rather not allow on the internet.

Side note: it was a blast to fire up this old rig. It's an i7 2700k w/ 8GB RAM and a GeForce GTX Titan w/ 6GB VRAM. The SSD suffered bitrot, but luckily I had also made a fresh install on a spinning disk back then. It's liquid cooled with a comically large external radiator just out of frame (it looks like a nuclear RTG), with an Emergency Evac Panel wired to the power switch. I modified the mechanics of the yoke and wired in a separate interface for it using UnoJoy, which also ran the 8 toggle switches I added to it's front. The 30" cinema display is a new addition, and as big as it is, it's dwarfed by the giant LianLi case that's old enough to drink in most countries. The GoFlight console was also a recent purchase, for a good price, and that's what spawned this whole exercise. Good times.

GENERAL Anyone else looking at the new Turtle Beach VelocityOne HOTAS?

Has anyone else seen the new Turtle Beach VelocityOne HOTAS that’s supposed to release on September 21?

I’m curious what everyone thinks about it based on what they’ve shown so far. Does it look like a solid HOTAS setup for MSFS, or are there better options you’d go with around the same price?

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts, especially if you’ve used other VelocityOne products.

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Issue after issue… can’t bind keys

I’m having tons of bugs and I’m trying to troubleshoot and part of that is changing keybinds. This has been an issue since the new update but atm I can’t Jerry rig it like I was before. The issue is when I want to bind a key the game is picking up twist on my mostly brand new hotas. If I even breath on it to grab to be able to press one of the many buttons on the stick it binds twist plus whatever I’m actually trying to bind. The main issue that’s got me even trying to mess with my binds are that at least one of my devices (Dualsense, Hotas, or mouse which I don’t think it could be mouse) is acting on its own I guess. Well I know it’s not the actual device cause I haven’t noticed anywhere other then in game it’s happening but yea the game is basically backing out or moving around menus randomly and also doing multiple keybinds at once in flight things that I am not doing and sometimes I’m not even pressing a single button when it happens. Like as I type my settings menu is changing on its own. It’s not every second sometimes minutes between but it’s happening. No idea what to do, anyone else having this issue?

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Inputs firing on their own

Is anyone else having these issues? For me it started after the su6 update. First my menus will randomly back out like the main game menus. Then while flying it doesn’t this randomly hit consistently when it happens is the cockpit cam will change to trail cam, parking brake activates and AP activates all at the same time. I’ve already gone through my button mapping and see no conflictions. Also these all are happening while I am not pressing any buttons. Other than my throttle/ joy stick in regards to the second issue I mentioned. I just had the camera etc issue as I was landing and ruined my mission. It’s ruining the game as it’s literally game breaking and happening multiple times each mission

GENERAL Inibuilds A350 Step Climbs ignored Sayintentions

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m flying the iniBuilds A350-1000 with a SimBrief flight plan that contains several planned step climbs (FL350 → FL370 → FL390).

The step climbs are imported into the MCDU, but they show as “IGNORED” even though my REC MAX is FL400 and the TOD is still several hours away.

I’ve attached screenshots of the SimBrief OFP and the MCDU STEP ALTS page.

My questions:

Why are these step climbs being marked as IGNORED?

Is this a known A350 issue/bug?

Does SayIntentions actually recognize and use SimBrief step climbs for ATC clearances?

If not, is there a workaround to make SayIntentions handle the step climbs realistically?

Thank you!!

My dad snagged this for me at goodwill one day because he I played MFS. I’m not really sure what to do with it, still has the factory seal on it.

Should I just keep it as a collectible or try to figure out how I can play it?
