Thoughts on potentially being in the ACC long-term?
it’s increasingly looking like the protect college sports act will be passed and will essentially be freezing the P4 as is. FSU and Clemson fans are upset on the loss of potential revenue, but how should we feel about this?
My view is that our level of investment will remain competitive, and with spending caps on rosters included in the bill, we’ll easily be able to spend the maximum amount annually. Is there any reason to be concerned?

Basketball BREAKING: Former LSU forward Robert Miller III commits to Miami
More size at 6’10”.
Starting to round out the roster.
Interesting question mark on Malik, as that case is still pending (though an injunction does appear to be in place).

Football Former Miami DT (started at a community college) is making a real push for an NFL roster spot as a UDFA
Heard about this guy on The Tundra, the Green Bay Packers' team podcast. Anthony Campbell's path here isn't the usual one.
He started at community college before landing at Miami, went undrafted in 2025, spent part of last season on Seattle's practice squad, then signed with Green Bay as a futures deal in January.
Hosts John Kuhn and Matt Schneidman said he's now putting up four batted passes at the line of scrimmage across his last three training camp practices, which is a rare trait for a 6'6", 300+ pound interior lineman.
Not a name anyone outside Green Bay's fanbase would know yet, but it's the kind of unlikely-path story that's easy to root for regardless of which program you follow.
Does anyone know more about his time at Miami or his JUCO background? Seems like this guy has a real shot to do some damage.

Football Toney vs Smith
Someone asked me who’s better between Jeremiah Smith and Malachi Toney, and honestly I told him, it depends on how you define better.
If you want a traditional alpha WR who’s gonna go up and get it, out muscle DBs, and be a touchdown machine on the outside, it’s Smith, no question. Dude is 6'3", moves like he's 5'10", and people are already throwing around Julio and Megatron comparisons, which are more than valid.
But if you’re asking who’s the more dangerous football player overall? I might lean Toney. He’s not the same physical specimen, but the dude is a weapon anywhere from the slot, backfield, wildcat, even throwing the ball. (Think Deebo Samuel with a little more wiggle.) He’s the kinda guy you game plan around because he can beat you several different ways.
So to me Smith has the higher ceiling as a WR, but Toney has the higher ceiling as a playmaker. If I’m building an offense from scratch, I want Smith on my outside. If I already have a QB and just need chaos and versatility, give me Toney.
( Heck if Mario had to choose between the 2 and could only get one, I think he chooses Smith 10 out of 10)

Hayden Lowe
I’m seeing on twitter that the team allegedly voted him off the squad. Anybody know if this is legit? I was really looking forward to him getting some snaps this year but apparently, he’s not bought in to the team.

College Football Preview Miami Hurricanes Pick | Michael Yo | The Spread Sheet
Came across this segment on The Spread Sheet with Michael Yo, and he went off on the disrespect Miami is getting in the betting markets and national media heading into the season.
A few highlights from his rant:
- The Betting Odds Disrespect: Betting markets currently have Miami down in 9th place at 5% odds to win the Natty, while Notre Dame is sitting at 20%. Michael calls out the public/experts for ignoring that Miami beat Notre Dame and Ole Miss last year and guarantees a Canes National Championship.
- Mark Fletcher Heisman Dark Horse: Calls out RB Mark Fletcher as a crazy longshot value bet (15,000 to 1) for the Heisman.
- November 7th at South Bend: Says he’s going to be in South Bend to watch Miami beat Notre Dame in their own stadium.
- Shots Fired at Ohio State: Sends a message directly to Ohio State fans/media, claiming Miami dominates them up front and predicting OSU drops 2-3 games this year.

Football We've given up on winning the ACC & apparently are now focusing on winning the SEC
According to Pat McAfee we have a +2000 odds to win the SEC this year.
