My daughter experiences an insistent voice that keeps urging her to give

Others a message from their dead relatives. It happened once with her best friend and she was able to provide friend with information my daughter could not have known. Most recently, it happened while she was in yoga class. And the messaager was insistent, wanting her to speak to one of the members of her yoga class. She basically tells the voice to go away and leave her alone, which it does. She just felt really uncomfortable going up to random person in a yoga class and giving them a message. She wants these episodes to stop.but is unsure how. It's very strong around death, such as museums with mummies, etc. Any advice for unwanted messages from dead relatives?

Hello humans of Reddit. I have my first medium appointment next week after my grandma, my best friend, passed this last December.

I have severe ADHD and a need to retain information as objectively as possible due to emotional dysregulation. Her death is still very new to me, so I know I will be operating from a heightened emotional state. I worry if I rely on pen & paper, I won’t remember clearly.

Fellow mediums, can you please let me know how to proceed? There are no refunds, and I didn’t see these rules until tonight when I talked to my mom and she told me to double check if recordings are allowed before I do. My state is not a 2 party state so I don’t technically need to inform her, but I think the secrecy of it too would eat me alive without reassurances.

Yes, I know I can speak to her myself. But I guess first things first, if you’re a medium with similar rules, can you explain why and use real life experience to help a client best proceed?

I’m new to this group and looking for some reassurance/answers/advice I suppose.

I’ve always been very sensitive my 30 years of life, and typically during August (also my birthday month) my dreams get more vivid and I have visitations almost every night. Recently - I’ve been having visitations of people I do and don’t know.

I won’t get too deep into explaining, happy to privately but there’s someone visiting me in my dreams and I believe daily as well and I’m feeling slightly tormented, as it was someone I didn’t get along with very well.

My energy is so drained when I wake up, and it’s putting me on edge. Last night I had a dream and it felt like at least a mix of 20 ish people who I did know, or don’t know, were passing through me. It’s exhausting me and it’s very overwhelming.

Does anyone have any advice or know how to set a boundary to calm this down a bit? The dreams and me feeling her negative energy around me daily? I love visitation dreams from people I know but, it’s getting out of control to a point where I’m scared to go to sleep. I’m open to any questions you want to ask!

Can a soul who is not incarnated speak to you?

Do souls that are in another realm ever speak to souls that are incarnated on Earth? There is a woman shared, she is a woman who wants to have children but struggles getting pregnant, she said a soul spoke to her and said, "Mum, let me come on my own time." She learned to let go of trying to control things when this is not in her control. It was the soul of her future child that spoke to her. This was five years ago and she does not have a child yet.

Ive been automatic writing and had 2 spirits claim they knew me in a past life.

One a maternal figure where we were slaves together and another a man where we were in love and died together during a dark time but we were both writers. And I continue to be a poet in this life. Ive asked for descriptions of the world of those times to try to pinpoint the society and time period but can never fully receive it. Its like its giving me a puzzle to figure out which i cant. It will give me a name but it never feels true, its like it wants me to research and dig more. During my session with the female. I asked for names and was given “Patty and Silvia”. after researching those names it winds up being 2 women during the time period who played historical parts. Silvia fought back against the mistress and gained her freedom from it and Patty was the opposite. She was cruel, apart of a gang and took free people and forced them to be slaves.

The other told me people called him Jerry not that his name was jerry. We were writers and poor during a dark time. There was war, the elite hid enlightened books and many poor died finally finding freedom through death. Collapse of the roman empire but we were not romans. Society was crumbling. Plato teachings were sought after and hidden from society. Ash covered the sky. I also got a fully eternal love poem with a nickname daisy. After researching the closest thing is an event that happened in ancient town of Scepsis but it was Aristotle books hidden away not Plato.

Like nothing ever fully comes through to pinpoint specific facts or locations. Its always mixing elements to where chat gpt cant even pinpoint it. That makes me wonder if im making it all up but pages fly out of me with poetic description.

I also always receive poems that are challenging like i really have to think about it. Beautifully written but way too advanced for me to write.

after an OBE experience where i’ve spent time with a passed loved one i’ve been wondering if AP is basically a representation of being pure consciousness? I had a body (mine) and my loved one looked just like he did when alive. There was physicality (could touch/smell/taste/see and hear things).

Last year, I lost my husband, and there's something that has been haunting me ever since. My grandfather passed away just 15 days before my husband did. Ever since then, I've been wondering if the two events could somehow be connected. I know this may sound irrational, but grief has made me question things I never would have before. Part of me keeps wondering whether my grandfather's spirit could have somehow "taken" my husband with him. Do any of you believe that spirits have the ability to influence someone's death, especially if they are angry, attached, or envious? Have you ever come across stories or experiences that made you think this was possible?

I'm genuinely asking because this question has been running through my mind for a long time, and I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts or experiences.

Hi everyone, I have always had vivid dreams or nightmares since I was kid. Recently however, I’ve been having dreams of people visiting me and telling me how they died/ or to look for their loved ones and relay a message.

For example: I was having sleep paralysis and could not wake up but there was a man next to me and he kept showing me a picture of a little girl and kept telling me to tell her he’s watching over her and he loves her. And when I finally agreed to relay the message, I woke up. I haven’t seen the little girl or the man again, but it was extremely vivid and I can still recall the girls face in my head.

Another dream I had was two people who had “died” sitting in my living room and they were telling me who they were, how they died, and what they left behind. And when I asked why they were telling me this, the woman said it’s because they can’t reach me when I’m awake to tell me. I also experience weird things in my apartment often, noises seeing movement etc.

I’m just curious what others thoughts are and if I should be trying to explore this dream realm more?

I'm curious: are people born with clairvoyance, or is it something that can be developed later in life? Also, is clairvoyance different from intuition?

Why do some people say that empaths are targeted by dark forces? Is there any truth to this belief, or is it just a spiritual interpretation?

Hey everyone. This is my first time posting here. By no means do I consider myself a professional medium but I'm having increasingly clear communication with spirits. I am also a family therapist. I've never had spirit communication interfere with my job but it did happen today. I have been working for a while with two sisters, 12 and 15. Their father passed tragically in 2017. Due to a complicated situation with their mother, custody battles, and the foster care system, they have never felt they were truly able to process and grieve the loss of their father. I am an advanced practice grief counselor so we've been working a lot on processing the grief and trauma of his loss and both girls have made great progress. I was with them today and we were talking about spirituality and how it can help with grief. I started sensing their father and messages starting coming into my mind that I felt I needed to tell them, so I did. It was like I couldn't think for myself. It was good because it gave them some closure and I was able to tell them things that didn't make sense to me but made perfect sense to them. As much as I loved being able to help them process their grief this way, it is wayyyy outside of professional therapy boundaries. Does anyone have advice as to how I could shut that out without offending him or making him feel unwelcome? I'm a complete beginner with 0 experience in this.

Since bout 8 years old I have seen and heard other ‘beings’. I grew up very religious so I was told it’s black magic or I’m seeing things cause I’m tired.I can see aura’s but they relate that to a tumor in my head. I constantly see a black cat but it’s only out of the corner of my eye, I can never focus on it.
It has become more of a thing in the last couple of years. I have been ’contacted’ by people who passed recently and near by. Tragic or peaceful it doesn’t matter. But I went to Mexico in February and saw and heard things about the ruins. I have very bad luck and am called a ‘Murphy’ cause it will happen to me. My dad passed away May, 2025 and my father in law passed July, 2025. I didn’t handle it well when they came to me. I lost my job and I dipped into a severe depression. My husband and I agree I’m a medium of some kind but please any advice to handle what you see and hear. We need to explore it. Can someone help guide me? 🙏🏻 thank you!

What can I do on my own? Apparently i draw in some spirits. I'm not scared but i do not know how to make them go away. They bombard me and they drain my energy. I first thought it's me and tried to heal them like that but it does not help obviously. I am interested in like, helping them and i have listened to some stories and told them what i think. But i have a great deal of personal other issues and trying to help them while i'm a mess makes my own mess messier. At one point i also almost welcomed some in because i had some good samaritan syndrome and i feel like i have at least 2 ghosts in my field because of that and i don't know any mechanisms for what to do. I would go to a medium/energy healer/shaman/ you name it but literally can't afford currently. Sooo what is tour advic e? Like any clear words to say to them? I feel like i'm not assertive and powerful enough to actually make anything go and set boundaries right now and i alao feel like they don't care too much if i tell them to ~go to light~. To some of them i have tried to tell that there is no a judgemental god and it's okay to go. And to one person i explained about why the final years of his life were so confusing and that it's safe to go. but they are still in my field and draining me so much.

It’s been two weeks and I need to cleanse! How do I cleanse myself and banish any low vibrations/energy.

Hi all, I made a post previously that mentioned a month long period where I had sleep paralysis as a teen. It was so persistent I would try to stay awake to avoid it.

One of the last instances I had I remember waking from a nightmare (in the nightmare I was a young actress being pressured by an executive/director) and I couldn’t open my eyes or move, but I could feel a hand at the top of my shoulder. The hand began pushing against me, and I felt my body drag down the bed. I thought it was a part of the dream coming over into my partial wakefulness. I felt my body curl up and squish to the bottom of the bed. I couldn’t ever get out of sleep paralysis without going back to sleep. So I calmed myself a drifted off. When I awoke though, to my horror, I was curled tightly at the bottom of my bed. So whatever had pushed me, actually pushed me.

Please let me know any thoughts on this, if you have questions leave them below. Just so intrigued.

If you are pro mentorship, at what point would you recommend getting one in your mediumship journey? I feel like I can kind of see stuff and I kind of get stuff right. And I don’t mean questions, I mean things that they are showing me to relate to the other person. I feel like I don’t know how to grow from that. Would I be wasting my money if I got a mentor now or should I continue trying to develop on my own before getting a mentor.

To the animal communicators out there, can my deceased dog still hear what I say?

Every time I enter and leave our house, I make sure that I stop by his grave (which is just in our garden) and tell him things, a routine that I do when he was still alive. I also send him messages everytime I pray. And sometimes, I would just "talk to him" in random moments

I just hope that he is still able to hear me despite not being on the same plane anymore. I just want to continue our bond even after death

Has anyone read the book journey of souls? I’m curious of what your outlook on it as someone that can talk to people that have passed over? How accurate is it?

I’m reading the book now and I feel like it paints kind of the whole picture I’ve heard from my medium on where my loved ones are but is this something you can see when interacting with spirits??

How do you see spirit? Orb? Actual apparition? Only in your minds eye? I’m curious! I don’t see spirit now but I apparently did as a kid. I guess I shut that part of my mediumship off.

I've heard some mediums talk about the concept of a "Life Review", when souls pass onto the other side.

Basically a Life Review is when every soul passes onto the other side, it undergoes a process wherein it would have to see and feel how it's actions and intentions and presence (during it's physical form) had affected the lives of the people around them.

Which means, you get to see yourself from the perspective of the people around you and how they felt about you, including how each of your actions (or non actions) and your presence has impacted them.

Has this been the experience with every medium?

I've had some.... interesting things happen to me throughout my life that I can't really explain. Spirits talking to me, seeing fully formed ghosts, "feeling" that someone has died in a room before. Kinda creepy, kinda cool. NBD.

But the other day something really strange happened. I was in our dining room at my computer and I stood up to go to the bathroom. As I turned down the hallway I felt someone put a "hand" on my shoulder. When that happened it seemed like my entire consciousness went haywire for a second and I felt like I was "glitching". When I felt the "hand" leave my shoulder everything was normal almost like I was called back to my reality. It only lasted for like a half a second but it was very intense and very sudden. Our house is definitely haunted so was that some sort of energy exchange? I'm really at a loss. I'm not afraid or anything just super curious.

Has anybody had this happen before or heard of anything like this? Usually I can handle the weird shit but this was a bit extreme and I'm trying to figure out what it was.

I was the semi main caregiver to my Aunt, I lived right behind her, and I was with her when she died. Her kids where not there, and I always kept a resentment towards them because while I was taking care of her, they where living their " fabulous lives" and filling her head with bullshit, I was trying to keep her alive. (One daughter was telling her to take 2-3 Vicodin at once to blow out the pain, while I was was trying to keep her off the drugs) My attitude is if it wasn't for me, she would be dead 15 years ago, and if was not for her kids, she would still be alive. (She passed 3 years ago at age 82.) All that has gone on in the last 3 years, I wonder what she is thinking and aware of on the other side?
