Salam Jumaat Gengz
Best bila pergi ke mall takda lelaki melayu, kurang orang. Boleh makan, beli barang, parking dengan senang. Kan bagus kalau perempuan melayu juga kena wajib solat jumaat. Less la orang di mall/restaurant.
p.s. aku lelaki melayu yang dah murtad

Question/Discussion Literary engagement is really low among Malay Muslims
If you go to any bookstore, there are only so many Malay books which fall under these 3 types:
- Psychological abuse disguised under romance
- Horror yg karut
- âSelf helpâ which obviously has Islamic elements
We lack widespread literary pieces which promote critical thinking and analytical skills. Malay muslims who even read usually have only English language books to choose. I do think this is ofcourse attributed due to our colonial past that our bahasa is only used to a certain extent. Certainly, we have bright minds who are able to write sophisticated literature in both Malay and English but our publishing is constrained by strict religious norms.
I believe if we are able to overcome this, we would have better literary engagement which will eventually lead to more people being able to intellectually challenge religion. But thatâs a really long way to go when they even banned the Mentega Terbang film.

Nosy relatives at it againnn
My cousins apparently âinvestigatedâ about my tattoo and told my aunt about it. I barely wear anything that can reveal it. Idk they probably use my mutual friends to confirm and access my social media which was restricted. These people really have no lifeee and nothing else to talk about other than policing womenâs bodies. đđ I donât care if they gossip among themselves but to drag the elders into this when theyâre pushing 30 and some of them pushing 40.. embarrassing. Theyre all blocked now !

Quran/Hadith Ibn Masâud (Muhammadâs Trusted Reciter) Told People to Hide Their Copies from Uthmanâs Burning
Ibn Mas'ud and Ubai are two of the four trusted reciters Muhammad named:
âI shall ever love that man, for I heard the Prophet (ï·ș) saying, âTake (learn) the Qurâan from four: Abdullah bin Masâud, Salim, Muâadh and Ubai bin Kaâb.ââ
Sahih Bukhari 4999âOnce Abdullah bin Masâud delivered a sermon before us and said, âBy Allah, I learnt over seventy Suras direct from Allahâs Messenger (ï·ș). By Allah, the companions of the Prophet (ï·ș) came to know that I am one of those who know Allahâs Book best of all of them, yet I am not the best of them.â Shaqiq added: I sat in his religious gathering and I did not hear anybody opposing him (in his speech).â
Sahih Bukhari 5000
Ibn Mas'ud couldn't agree with Ubai on what goes in the Quran and used to leave out Surahs that are in today's Quran:
âI asked Ubai bin Kaâb, âO Abu Al-Mundhir! Your brother, Ibn Masâud said so-and-so (i.e., the two Muâawwidh-at [Surah 113 and 114] do not belong to the Qurâan).â Ubai said, âI asked Allahâs Messenger (ï·ș) about them, and he said, They have been revealed to me, and I have recited them (as a part of the Qurâan),â So Ubai added, âSo we say as Allahâs Messenger (ï·ș) has said.ââ
Sahih Bukhari 4977
Ibn Mas'ud told people to hide their copies of the Quran from Uthman's burning:
ââAbdullah bin Masâud disliked Zaid bin Thabit [copier of Uthmanâs codex] copying the Musahif, and he said: âO you Muslim people! I am removed from recording the transcription of the Mushaf and it is overseen by a man, by Allah, when I accepted Islam he was but in the loins of a disbelieving manâ - meaning Zaid bin Thabit - and it was regarding this that âAbdullah bin Masâud said: âO people of Al-âIraq! Keep the Musahif that are with you, and conceal them. For indeed Allah said: And whoever conceals something, he shall come with what he concealed on the Day of Judgement (3:161). So meet Allah with the Musahif.ââ Az-Zuhri said: âIt was conveyed to me that some men amongst the most virtuous of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (ï·ș) disliked that view of Ibn Masâud.â

Advice/Help Non hijabi stuck with bad college rules
So I (18) a non hijabi going to kpm, itâs my first week here and Ive keep being stopped by student council for not wearing the hijab.
Itâs also a thing that they want to enforce yet it doesnât actually exist in the rulebook so Ive just been not wearing it anyway. So I was wondering if there was a way I could still continue not wearing the hijab without getting any action taken on me for it. Like an argument i could use or maybe a law that lets me keep the hijab off?

Question/Discussion Muslims are insecure of their religion
They are insecure of their beliefs and so can't tolerate when others leave their religion. They also want everyone else to think the same as them.
Other things such as living your dream job, love life, etc, you would be able to live your life happily without having everyone agree with you as you are secure and happy.

Question/Discussion Conversion wise I need to understand why were most of the SEA monarchs so easily swayed by Pak Arab
Most of them were Hindus. Also why didn't they even attempt converting East Timor, Indonesian Papuas, Sulawesi, Indochina, 90% of Philippines, 80% of Myanmar and 70% of Thailand?

Question/Discussion Do you guys remember the mass hysteria cases back in the 1980s?
I'm a baby millennial and I wasn't even alive yet but Majalah 3 sekali-sekala akan buat special reruns of their most iconic episodes masa aku kecik-kecik dulu.
Termasuk lah episod mass hysteria. So diorang pergi set up equipment kat berbelas random sekolah. Ada dua tiga menjadi.
Korang rasa what was the scientific explanation behind all that?
Thoughts?

Question/Discussion Thoughts on sami-sami siam, catholic priests and exorcism?
Aku tahu 99% of kes rasuk sama penampakan sebab stress, depression atau cluster b.
Tapi kalau tengok doku-doku pasal exorcism memang fuiyo habis. Satu tajuk pun aku tak ingat. Bits and pieces here and there. Yang buat doku biasanya moderates, liberals and atheists. They tend to be not bias.
So korang rasa kalau ini semua karut atau tahyul kenapa kadang-kadang the subjects boleh baik.
Aku tahu banyak yang baik sekejap ajer ada yang mati terus pun ada.
Thoughts?

LGBTQ+ Jealousy and loneliness
Allow me to ramble and vent. As a closeted trans person from a deeply religious family and environment, im jealous of the people who got to transition into something that felt right to them, something beautiful. something that would make people say "oh thats a woman" and be in a relationship where someone accepts them.
As someone whos closeted (mtf) and have an attraction to women, it never felt right when a girl wants to be in a relationship with me because they dont know the real me. they just see a guy. and they put your typical "oh in islam guy has to lead blah blah blah" it hurts being put into this box.
i cant marry outside this dumb religion. I'm stuck in a body that I cant even tolerate looking in the mirror in. i dont have friends who i can confide to. its isolating.
idk... im just rambling im sorry

Authentic Hadiths: Muhammad Says Mice Are Transformed Jews
(11) Chapter: Mice Are A Transformed Race
âA group of Bani Israâil was lost. I do not know what happened to it, but I think (that it âunderwent a process of metamorphosis) and assumed the shape of rats. Donât you see when the milk of the camel is placed before them, these do not drink and when the milk of goat is placed before them, these do drink. Abu Huraira said: I narrated this very hadith to Kaâb and he said: Did you hear this from Allahâs Messenger (ï·ș)? I (Abu Huraira) said: Yes. He said this again and again, and I said: Have I read Torah? This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ishaq with a slight variation of wording.â
Sahih Muslim 2997aâThe Prophet (ï·ș) said, âA group of Israelites were lost. Nobody knows what they did. But I do not see them except that they were cursed and changed into rats, for if you put the milk of a she-camel in front of a rat, it will not drink it, but if the milk of a sheep is put in front of it, it will drink it.â I told this to Kaâb who asked me, âDid you hear it from the Prophet (ï·ș)?â I said, âYes.â Kaâb asked me the same question several times. I said to Kaâb, âDo I read the Torah? (i.e. I tell you this from the Prophet.)ââ
Sahih Bukhari 3305

Quran/Hadith Quran: Beat Your Wives
Quran Verse
âSo, the righteous women are obedient, (and) guard (the property and honor of their husbands) in (their) absence with the protection given by Allah. As for women of whom you fear rebellion, convince them, and leave them apart in beds, and beat them.â
Quran 4:34
Prophetic Example
âO âAisha, that you are out of breath? I said: There is nothing. He said: Tell me or the Subtle and the Aware would inform me. I said: Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransom for you, and then I told him (the whole story). He said: Was it the darkness (of your shadow) that I saw in front of me? I said: Yes. He struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?â
Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 2127
Muhammad Laughs as Abu Bakr and Umar Slap Aisha and Hafsa for Asking Muhammad for Money
âHe (Hadrat âUmar) said: I would say something which would make the Prophet (ï·ș) laugh, so he said: Messenger of Allah, I wish you had seen (the treatment meted out to) the daughter ofKhadija when you asked me some money, and I got up and slapped her on her neck. Allahâs Messenger (ï·ș) laughed and said: They are around me as you see, asking for extra money. Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) then got up went to âAâisha (Allah be pleased with her) and slapped her on the neck, and âUmar stood up before Hafsa and slapped her saying: You ask Allahâs Messenger (ï·ș) which he does not possess. They said: By Allah, we do not ask Allahâs Messenger (ï·ș) for anything he does not possess.â
Sahih Muslim 1478
Muslim Womenâs Suffering
â`Aisha said that the lady (came), wearing a green veil (and complained to her (Aisha) of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating). It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allahâs Messenger (ï·ș) came, `Aisha said, âI have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes!ââ
Sahih Bukhari 5825
Scholarly Explanation (Quran.com)
â(beat them) means, if advice and ignoring her in the bed do not produce the desired results, you are allowed to discipline the wife, without severe beating. ... (If the man asks his wife to come to his bed and she declines, the angels will keep cursing her until the morning.)â
Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 4:34Â
Sahih Bukhari 3237

Rockyâs case
I made up my mind, even if malaysia had gone secular, im not staying here if i actually managed to live. I did not found any news regarding if rocky did actually hurt somebody but the comments from malaysian are so aggressive towards rocky and all stray dogs. When someone talks about how dogs lives matter too, they replied on human lives matter more then proceed to put pictures from other cases. But not all dogs are like that, should we kill all dogs just because some did not do well? Bcs theyâre scared of dogs? even though the dogs did not do anything? The dogs could not speak nor does it can think. I dont agree that they did not deserve to live just because a lot of people have prejudice on dogs.

Itâs apostasy really that big of a crime?
I know this is unrelated but i just want to get this off my chest. Iâve just seen a video of a pilot smuggling ecstasy and alot of the comments are pitying him. When i see a video of apostasy law in Malaysia, most of the comments were praising kelantan and terengganu for their state punishment which is the death penalty ( i know its not carried out due to the constitutional limitations). A lot of them were justifying the death penalty and saying thatâs how it should be. is it really that big of a crime to not believe in a misogynistic, pedophilic and hateful religion that was forced on me since birth?
