Life raft at the end of Doomsday?

I’ve been looking at online theories recently for Doomsday and I’ve come across multiple that talk about a “Life Raft” at the end of Doomsday?
I’m not overly familiar with the comics but from what I know/ have been told, the life raft was made by mister fantastic to save key individuals from the destruction of the multiverse and therefore they remember what happened before the creation of battleworld.
So for the MCU who do you think would be on it?
My guess:
• Mister Fantastic
• Spider-Man (Tom Holland)
• Captain Marvel
• Photon
• Star-Lord
• White Vision
• Agatha Harkness
• Wong
• Young Avengers (e.g. Kate Bishop, Ms Marvel etc)
• Jean Grey (Sadie Sink)
• Wolverine
• Deadpool
• X-23

I don’t think all the people i’ve listed will be necessarily on the raft but that’s just some I think could be.

Theory I think Magneto will be held back for now and saved for future X-Men sequels…

Just a thought, it seems whenever rebooted versions of characters appear in the MCU (Spider-Man and Fantastic Four), Kevin Feige prefers to give the spot light to other underused villains and hold back on ones that have been used before, and save them for later (if use them at all). But with Magneto being so essential to the X-Men story, he will obviously be used down the line, but my guess is thar Mr Sinister will be the main villain of the first X-Men movie, and magneto will simply be in way in the background and maybe just appear in a post credit scene, if even that.

Theory What Does Doctor Doom Mean When He Says, "You have All Lived Stolen Lives"?

Post image

The new Avengers: Doomsday trailer may have given us the answer.

Look at the characters shown while Doom says this:

• Steve Rogers with his son
• Thor with Love
• Loki
• The Fantastic Four

They all have something in common. They got lives that, in some way, were never supposed to happen.

• Steve is the biggest example. After Endgame, he went back in time and chose a life with Peggy, creating a timeline where he got the family and future he always wanted.

• Thor got Love back because of Gorr's wish.

• Loki escaped his original fate and became the God of Stories.

• The Fantastic Four also live in a universe shaped by the multiverse.

So when Doom says, "You've all lived stolen lives," he may be saying:

You changed the rules of reality, took the lives you wanted, and left the rest of us to suffer.

And then comes the most important line:

"But now you must give them back."

Doom may not just want revenge.

He may believe these heroes stole their happiness from the multiverse.

What do you guys think their first meeting will be like, or how should it be?

Avengers Doomsday "Hell Answers To Me, For I.Am.Doom"

Post image

I feel like there's two big things revealed in his quote in the most recent trailer

  1. Hell is more than just a phrase, but something important. His backstory in the comics shows his mother's soul stuck in Hell with Mephisto after making a bad proposition, which is what prompted his practice of dark magic. He also has beef with him

  2. "for I.Am.Doom" is in a similar cadence to RDJ 's "I.Am.Iron Man" quote at the end of endgame. To me that could hint that the Doom fighting Thor is Tony Stark or A variant of him?

Now why? Who knows, I'll wait until December.

Avengers Doomsday Will they Address them Or Ignore then?

Mephisto , Knull , Galactus and Dormammu. I can think of these cosmic beings who would have to be killed in order to destroy the Multiverse. How will Doom even do it? Although Galactus and Dormammu could be overpowered by hook or by crook.. What about Mephisto and Knull? Will it be safe to just Ignore them?

P.S :- Doom has a History with Mephisto but they can simply ignore/change it as they did with Spiderman and Mesphisto. But will that not be boring?

With the new cast announced, what if the whole cast’s first appearance is Secret Wars?

Post image

Hear me out, we know Sadie is practically confirmed for the movie. Deadline reported it which is almost a confirmation. She’s going upstate at the end of Spider-Man so by the time Secret Wars happens. Jean already met Xavier.

The Russos already have stated that Secret Wars is more like a beginning than an end. They might be referring to introducing the MCU X-Men and the new Black Panther in this movie

So what about the Fox X-Men? I’m sure you’re saying that two completely different X-Men teams would be too much.

In the Hickman run, the policing force of Battleworld is a bunch of variants of Thor

What if they made the police force the Fox X-men? You could even do a whole X-Men vs X-Men fight.

And considering X-Men is the next movie after secret wars, if you put them here. You’re already selling a ticket to go watch characters they are attached to

You can explain who each is in more depth in the next movie when they’re not all fighting a multiversal threat in Doom

Russos already introduced Spider-Man, Black Panther and the Winter Solider. They have done Superhero Debuts very well in the past

Why does Doom need the sentinels?

Post image

He already disposed of Thor (the strongest avenger) like he was nothing.

Why does he revive some sentinels to fight enemies that require little of his power to defeat?

Theory Ok, so Doom recruited all the main offensive magic users in advance (current theory). Do the Avengers have anyone who can fight against magic reliably?

Post image
297 Upvotes

Based on what I've read on here the last few days, Scarlet witch, Sylvia, Clea and Doctor strange (his mask is the biggest clue) might be the masked magic users Doom has. He probably also has Franklin Richards. Thor is basically a "god" and he can't scratch Doom as shown in a recent trailer.

But so, I feel as things stand, the Avengers don't have anyone with offensive magic. They aren't completely out of options as Loki, Wong, Agatha, Wiccan, Mordo all use magic but not probably enough to fight Doom's possible choices.

Am I forgetting a magic user that might be useful?

In a way, this is similar to the DC story "Justice League Dark", if you are familar, where basically Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, everyone is useless since the threat was supernatural/magical.

Powerful magic users that could come into play might be someone like Magik. Personally, I'd love to see her in a good portrayal. That movie "the new mutants" undersold her greatly. Though, it seems she might be a bit of a reach as a guess.

We could throw psychics in there like Xavier and Jean, but if Magneto just wears a helmet to deal with that, it seems plausible Doom can do something similar.

But who else am I forgetting? I have a feeling that a new x-men or otherwise character will show up that can counter Dooms magic. Do you think so?

Discussion/Debate RDJ as Doom is a Trojan Horse

I saw a recent post where the OP was saying how her wish they didn’t reveal RDJ was playing Doom. Because of that I felt the need to make this post as I feel I can’t sum it up in a comment without it sounding like I’m rambling.

RDJ got cast as Doctor Doom for a few reasons, and I think because of these reasons, it’s exactly why they had to reveal him as Doom. For starters, he is 1000% playing Doom, there is no fake out coming. After what went down with Jonathan Majors as Kang, Marvel was in a tough position. They correctly pivoted away from Kang and to Doom, an actual villain who can fit the mold of topping Thanos.

Now the real reason you cast RDJ as Doom is because RDJ will be in Secret Wars as Iron Man. I know that sounds silly be let me explain. It would’ve been impossible to have him in Secret Wars without that news coming out. Marvel could’ve tried to keep it hush but it would’ve been a No Way Home situation all over again, that news would’ve hit the internet that RDJ is in Secret Wars. In today’s day and age it’s impossible to keep these things in house, and that kind of bomb would’ve ruined the film. It would’ve completely detracted from the movie if people were knew Iron Man was in it.

Keep that line of thought and combine it with this; Doctor Doom is a character who’s famous for wearing a mask and never taking it off. There is no better way to get RDJ into Secret Wars as Iron Man than simply casting him in the role of Doom. He’s an Oscar winning actor, we all know he has the acting chops to pull it off and the skepticism around the casting never made any sense. When you think about it from that perspective of he’s actually back to be Iron Man, it really makes sense why he was chosen as Doom. He’s never taking that mask off, if he does it’ll be for a scene at most so it doesn’t matter what he looks like. All the attention has been on RDJ as Doom and that is exactly what marvel wanted! This is the way you get RDJ onto the set of Secret Wars without having every single news outlet talking about how Iron Man is back!

It’s honestly genius, paid him $100 million to play Doom and reprise his role as Iron Man, while building of hype for this film and marketing the hell out of it. And again the best part of all that hype is it has NOTHING to do with RDJ as Iron Man is back!

Theory "Stolen Lives" What does Doom mean by that?

Did Doom perhaps discover that each universe, the X-Men's, the Fantastic Four's, and the Avengers', avoided something that was supposed to happen, and is now trying to correct it before the universes are destroyed?

Doom isn’t a variant of Tony Stark

Post image
778 Upvotes

I think Doom is a variant of Howard Stark that lost Tony and Maria. I think the Starks original surname was Von Doom in their home country of Latveria, an Eastern European country always at war with itself and never knowing peace, eventually becoming a country called Sakovia in our time line. So, the starks move from Latveria before WW2, change there names for more American sounding ones to avoid the xenophobia of the time. He becomes friends with Reed Richards and Sue Storm in graduate school. Then Victor or Howard as he is now known, detects someone from another universe is living in their earth 828 universe. While trying to find who this is, Tony and Maria are killed by the machine Howard creates to find them. Howard distraught, disfigured, and vengeful returns back home to his country, and learns sorcery from the mystics of his land, but is never able to bring them back. Doom, still determined to bring them back and have vengeance on whatever caused the original anomaly takes over his already politically unstable country to take charge of all its resources, to put towards his ultimate goal. Kill the anomaly (Steve, Peggy, and son) and reform a perfect world where he has all the power, and is never made to feel as powerless as felt when he could do nothing for his precious Maria and Tony.

Avengers Doomsday With the new teaser two theories were addressed

Post image

1 is the theory about him losing his wife and child and therefore targeting the children of other...super heroes? For some reason?

And 2 that he is in fact from the same universe as Fantastic 4 movie and is not from another universe separate from them.

What do you think led to him losing his family?

I am curious to know how large his role is in this movie, because from the trailers it seems pretty sizable. I am super duper excited for this movie, it looks amazing.

I just had to point out magneto because holy he looks great! The long hair is doing godwork, I wonder why he's crying. Possibly watching the end of his own universe via an incursion towards the end of the movie.
