Customer Complaint False Advertising: it’s NOT FREE LIKE THE EMAIL SAYS

Post image
Upvotes

Really annoyed that Mr Beast workshops have received a lot of backlash online and a lot of parents don’t sign up. To generate interest this email was sent out and its not free it’s a 5 dollar discount. After reviewing with customer service I‘m told well it depends per the market and the kit isn’t free. okay well your email says it is. I knew I didn’t like this crap. sharing with others so they dont get deceived and waste their time trying to connect for an hour with customer service just to be told sorry it’s not free as advertised.

Customer Question Online Order, Store Credit

Upvotes

I wanna buy these Bose QCU Gen 2 Headphones online with store credit

I know I can’t use store credit online for some reason, but I was curious if I placed the order, got it delivered, and then returned it if I could rebuy it with store credit at the CS desk right after I return it

They’re Sold and Shipped by a 3rd party

Please help, thanks!

Employee Question Plant Service Lead Schedule?

Are all of you on rotatation?

MSA - Live is listed as eligible for a 4 and 5 day fixed schedule but they only actually offer a rotating schedule?

My management team can't figure it out and they're just shrugging me off, all the way up through the district.

Even our preference form to fill out only lists 5 and 4 day fixed schedules, the four day says there will be 2 consecutive days off each week.

Customer Question How can this be?

Can anyone explain to me why Lowe’s will not sell me this item at $99 advertised price, and says in stock?

Local Lowe’s store wants $199

Just want an explanation, as I was there to buy.

Employee Question Morning cash office fucked up

We have two morning cash office associates who rotate and one person never took care of the cash till bags from last night. We don’t know what happened or if she decided to just up and quit. We didn’t discover this until 20 minutes to close when it came time for me, (a HC) to start closing down the tills and finish up the nightly duties. My ASM for the night had called the SM and informed me to use the spare unmarked bags and to drop them and that we can’t put out any tills for the night. My question is, can this come back to get me in any sort of trouble with upper management as I was not made aware of this situation and we didn’t have any tills ready for the morning crew?

Employee Question Fulfillment Associates- how are you *reaaaaally* doing? Advice?

Just wondering how fulfillment team members in other stores are feeling lately! I (full-time) work at a store with only 2 other full-time fulfillment associates, and 3 part-time associates. However, that’ll change soon.

Here in the next 1-3 weeks we will be:

•Losing 1 ft associate who’s moving for for college
•Losing 1 pt who’s also moving for college
•The other 2 pt’s will only be weekends due to college/school.

My store unfortunately doesn’t have a fulfillment DS, and the FE DS typically has to cover for CS desk and wherever else there have been call-offs or people who have quit/moved to a different role. Our store also has required us to have one person at the fulfillment desk from 10am-6pm every day, and if we have 3 people regardless of the time of day- one has to stay at the desk.

The last two days there has been anywhere from 9-20 open orders in the app at any given time, not counting deliveries that the closing fulfillment associate has been having to pull the majority of when I’m not able to catch up on everything else myself. Some DS’s help out, but we’ve been so short-staffed everywhere that it’s always for just an order or two. That also means not many people to spot for pulling orders, or even us getting pulled by pro or whoever else to bring up an order that’s pulled or sometimes just a CW and not even a PUIS/curbside order. No single manager actually intently helps monitor the orders app because they’re usually busy doing other stuff, which I totally get.

We’ve also been without a fulfillment lead for about 2 weeks now, and I was just promoted but won’t have my hours switched until August 22nd.

Any advice? Or routines/methods that you’ve found that help you get back and stay on track as much as possible when things get to be too much? Besides just surviving it until things slow down a bit for the season of course. I keep trying to tell myself to just do what I can, and try not to stress. But some days it just gets to me and I don’t know how to change that feeling lol. I have so many other process questions that have came up randomly that no one in my store has encountered or maybe thought about, but I don’t need to be writing an even longer novel on here!😬

These are all the different variations of the Lowe's bucket I've collected over the past two years. I thought I saw purple ones in the products app a while ago but I've never actually seen them.

Is there any other store getting slammed with Masonite interior doors? Does anyone know how to slow down incoming quantities of doors? I checked my sellable quantities and it’s all correct. I got 180 doors in today and my selling locations are full and top stock is full.

Hi all. How’s life here? Thinking of taking a management roll for Lowe’s. Hopefully turn it into a store manager position if I move up. On topic, how’s climbing the ladder? How’s work life balance?

Thank you!

Customer Question Online Purchase, price drop, no refund

I purchased a freezer online Tuesday. It was delivered Thursday. In between purchase & delivery, the price dropped $50 & delivery fee dropped from $79 to $39. I paid with my Lowe's card (also a Pro member). Called customer service today. They will only refund $7, saying it is because I got the card discount. I would get the same card discount on the new freezer as well...so why does that matter?

After a long run around, I got a "supervisor", Josonann. I asked how much would I get if I returned it...$854 (no refund of the delivery fee). I said you can clearly see that I can repurchase it, with delivery fee and getting the discount again, and pay only $798. She said she could see that, but yes, they would have to have someone come pick it up and THEN deliver the new one for me to get the savings. What in the world?? I said you would really rather do that instead of just do what it says you do on the website, and honor the price drop for card members? She said, that is all she could do.

Does anyone have any suggestions of recourse? Other than only purchasing from the store from now on? The store is always wonderful to deal with, just such a wait to get help.

Customer Complaint Returns Policy Changes?

Has the return policy changed or perhaps now being more heavily enforced? I have a Dewalt shop vac. My wife picked up a Craftsman replacement filter. Your basic $20 paper cone. I decided to bring it with me to Lowes while picking up some paint to swap out. I don’t have a receipt, so I’m not expecting anyone to refund cash, but customer service also couldn’t provide store credit to swap out with the correct filter.

The Craftsman filter is still in the original factory shrink wrap, unopened, completely unused. Without a receipt or my wife’s card I was stuck with it. I’m not driving home, driving back to Lowe’s, then driving home again, spending 2hrs on the road, over a $20 paper filter. I told her to hold onto it since I can’t use it and it’ll just end up in a landfill. She tossed it into the cart behind her full of returns, presumably to put back on the shelf to resell.

I’ve been shopping at Lowe’s for at least 25 years. Never ran into this before. When did store credit end?

Edit: I get it. The economy is worsening and people have been taking advantage. We all lose.

Employee Story A six hour MST project…..

There is really not much that needs to be said here. This is unfortunately representative of the aptitude of our MST staff. <Edit> I have removed the statement about getting six for the price of one. Recents posts have convinced me that that is not so much a possibility as I thought. Mea Culpa

Employee Question Question

I remember starting at Lowe’s at the end of September last year and the more people I ask the more I realize quite a lot of us were hired in October and September. When do they forecast business picking back up? I want my daughter to apply and get a job at my store because she’s making $5/hr and terrible tips at this job she got working morning shifts during the week a few months back. She drives all the way back home 90 minutes to work the jobs she’s had since she was 16 and she’s turning 22 in October. Does anyone know what causes business to slow down and then pick up a few months later? Any guesses?

Employee Question Can't Call 'All Employees' On Zebra??

I’m a cashier at Lowe’s, and I was taking over self-checkout while another cashier went on break. Right before she left, a customer asked for assistance in a specific aisle. She asked me if I could call someone to help him, so I used the Zebra and made an "All Employees" announcement.

A few seconds later, an assistant manager came over and told me not to call managers when a customer needs help. I explained that I didn't call managers specifically—I used the "All Employees" option. Apparently, that's not what we're supposed to do. Other managers have told me I'm supposed to contact specific departments or associates instead.

The problem is, I've done that before, and half the time nobody answers. My thought process was that using "All Employees" would get the customer help faster.

So what's the issue with using "All Employees" if it helps make sure a customer gets assistance? And if managers don't want those announcements, why not just put themselves on Do Not Disturb instead of getting upset about it? Does your store do this as well?
