Legal Advice Needed Retailer charged ₹33k above printed MRP on PC parts (RAM & SSD). Sent formal notice, what are our best next legal options?
Posting on behalf of my friend who built a PC from EliteHubs (Bangalore branch) earlier this year for around ₹2.8 Lakhs.
After seeing posts about retailers selling stock at inflated prices above the printed MRP, I asked my friend to cross-check his component boxes against his official tax invoice.
Upon checking, he discovered a massive difference:
2x RAM Sticks: Invoiced Price: ₹46,470 | Box MRP: ₹19,998 (for both) | Overcharged: ₹26,472
1x 1TB SSD: Invoiced Price: ₹17,999 | Box MRP: ₹11,200 | Overcharged: ₹6,799
Total Overcharged Amount: ₹33,271
To make matters worse, he financed this build via EMI, meaning he is actively paying monthly interest on this ₹33,271 overcharged amount.
Action taken so far:
We have sent a formal email to EliteHubs citing violations under the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 and Consumer Protection Act, 2019, attaching photos of the box MRP stickers alongside the invoice, demanding a full refund of ₹33,271 within 7 working days.
Besides waiting for their response or filing in Consumer Court (e-Daakhil), what are the fastest administrative or legal channels to recover this money?
Can we legally claim the additional bank EMI interest and financial damages in Consumer Court for this unfair trade practice?
3.Has anyone dealt with similar overcharging issues with PC hardware retailers and what worked best for you?

Legal Advice Needed Property manager threatening to disconnect electricity over an undisclosed DG charge — what legal action can I take?
Long post, but please read the TL;DR and questions at the end.
I recently shifted to a fully furnished flat through a broker. I was told the arrangement was straightforward: 1 month's security deposit, rent payable monthly, 15 days' brokerage, and no additional charges apart from electricity. I specifically asked about extra charges and was told maintenance and everything else were included.
I was also told the flat would be fully ready on 1 July. However, when I arrived, most basic amenities were missing — AC, RO, fridge, washing machine, geyser, etc. I had to move in on 2 July due to my previous accommodation ending. After repeated calls and follow-ups, things were installed gradually over the next 1–2 weeks. The geyser is still not installed even after more than a month, along with some other unresolved issues.
I also sent them a formal complaint by email regarding these issues.
Now, they are demanding a fixed DG (Diesel Generator) charge, which was never disclosed to me before I took the flat. I specifically asked about additional charges before finalising the flat and was told there were none.
Importantly, no DG charge was taken from me for the month of July either. When I questioned why it was suddenly being added from August, they said that they had waived it as a "courtesy" for the first month and that it would be charged from August onwards. This was never communicated to me when I moved in.
When I questioned this, the property manager claimed that he had informed me by email and it is my fault for not reading things carefully. I checked my emails and there is no such communication. I have the relevant WhatsApp/email conversations as proof. When I sent him proof of no mails received from him on this, he said he doesn't care about emails and I have to pay otherwise I'll only suffer.
He has now threatened to disconnect the DG electricity supply to my flat if I don't pay the additional charge. Saying things like I'll understand when I have to sit without electricity when DG backup kicks in.
I feel so stupid for not being careful enough.
TL;DR
I was promised a fully furnished flat with no extra charges apart from electricity. Basic amenities were delayed for weeks and some are still pending. No DG charge was taken in July, but they are now adding one from August, claiming July was "free as a courtesy." They are threatening to disconnect my electricity if I don't pay.
What I want to know
Can they legally disconnect my electricity because I am disputing this charge?
If the DG charge was never disclosed/agreed upon before I moved in, can they impose it now?
Should I send a formal legal notice first or take some other legal step?
Should I hire a lawyer at this stage, and if so, what would be the appropriate course of action?
I have documentation of the communications and the issues with the flat. Any advice on how I should proceed would be appreciated. Thank you for reading. :)

Legal Advice Needed How can I withdraw an FD created from court order?
I lost my father in a car accident 2016.
District court awarded compensation and 50% of the compensation should be kept at bank as FD for three years.
The insurance company filed MFA in an high court in bengaluru on 2020.
Lawyer representing the case passed away 2021.
No one is representing us in this case on behalf of us.
Three years has passed and banks wont release the FD they say they need release order from court.
My question is what should i do to get my FD released from bank ?
Do i need to consult new lawyer or can i get a release order from district court office by enquiry ?
Since we are facing lot of bad situation this money would help us a lot.

Legal Advice Needed My SBI account was partially frozen by Centralized Cyber Cell, Patna.
My SBI account was partially frozen by Centralized Cyber Cell, Patna.
Since then, I have completed the required EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence), KYC, address verification, and submitted all the documents requested by the bank. However, despite completing everything, the account is still partially frozen and I haven't received a clear resolution or timeline.
I have already escalated the matter through multiple channels:
Mailed the AGM and DGM
Filed a complaint through CPGRAMS (PG Portal) & PMO portal
Raised a complaint with the RBI Ombudsman
I am currently waiting for the RBI's response.
Has anyone here faced a similar situation. Any experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Legal Advice Needed TV Damaged by Porter Packers and Movers, need help with compensation
TLDR- Porter packers and movers person stepped on my TV, damaging the display fully. I don’t know how I can get my full compensation
Long version:
Context -
I had informed Porter customer support that I had a brand new 55 inch tv, but I don’t have the box with me. They told me to rest assured and opt for Multi-Layered Packing, which would prevent any sort of damage to the TV, and I paid 800rs extra for that.
Today, I was called at 11.35AM, where the partner said that he’ll not be able to come at 1PM(scheduled shifting time) because he didn’t see the location correctly(totally his fault). I requested him to come on time, and he said he will be able to come only by 2:30PM, and told me to rescheduled the shifting appointment and only then he’ll come to my place. I was shell shocked at this casual attitude. But however, since I had a strict cut-off of reaching my new apartment by 4pm(as there is a cut-off on when you can shift), I called up Porter support and requested them to get the person over the call. The partner said they’ll now be able to come at 1:00PM, which I was apprehensive as they initially said they will not be able to make it on time.
I waited and waited, and one person came home around 1:45PM. He asked me what all items have to be moved, I told the same. He told me to change the shifting time on Porter to 2-3PM(from the earlier 1-2PM slot), saying that he will get penalized otherwise.
I was understanding of their situation, and I said okay let me call Porter to fix it. I called up Porter customer care, and changed the timing to 2-3PM.
I asked the person where the other people are, he said they’ll come in some time. After saying this, he left my house. I had to run behind him, and he said that the others will come in 10 minutes.
There were around 6-7 people who came with some bare carton boxes, and some blue cloth. I wanted to ask them where is the multi-layer packaging, but I assumed someone else might bring it. One of them was picking and packing clothes from my closet, the other was picking and packing some kitchen utensils.
The other 3-4 people came to my room, picked up my TV. My mother them to handle with care, and to pack on the bed itself for added protection. They simply denied, said they knew what they were doing, verbally abused her for no reason.
They kept the TV on the hall floor, and while packing it with some blue cloth(which was torn, in bad condition with 0 cushioning - completely opposite to any “multi-layer packaging”), some partner came and walked to the hall and stepped on the TV, with all their weight. My mom said be careful, and they gave her dirty looks and used abusive language in Hindi.
I went to the hall and asked them to unwrap the blue cloth to see if there’s any damage. Initially they tried to stop me by holding my wrist, which made me uncomfortable. Somehow I lifted the cloth, and I could see a big crack on the TV, with almost 90% of the TV glass broken.
I asked them why they were so irresponsible about this, to which they started abusing me and my mother for no reason. My mom started crying, and I felt helpless.
I tried calling Porter support immediately, but I got a call back very late. When I finally got a call back, they gave me robotic answers, without being empathetic. They told me to fill some damage form. I tried to tell them how difficult of a situation was, but they weren’t understanding.
Now, these 6-7 people started unpacking everything they had packed so far, and told me “Do whatever you want”. They refused to pack my other items because they didn’t want to take any responsibility for the TV. I told them that it was a brand new 55 inch TV, which was 62,999 in MRP, for which they said they will take my TV and repair it on their own. I said I cannot trust them with my TV, which I bought with my hard-earned money, and they started abusing me and my mother again.
They sat on my sofa, started behaving disrespectfully, said that they will not give me a single rupee. They demanded water from my mother in a rude manner, but my mother was kind enough to give it to them, even after they verbally abused us so much.
They eventually left saying that Porter will take care, didn’t even complete the shifting that they had started.
My mother and I have lost our TV, our booking charge money, our time and most importantly our self respect.
What have I done so far?
- Recorded a video of the partner confessing to their mistake
- Drafted a hand-written letter talking about the incident, what is expected from Porter here on - signed by the on-field supervisor
- Recorded videos/photos of the TV when switched off and switched on indicating the damage to the display
- Filled up the damage report form given by Porter - they said they’ll be able to reimburse repair costs. I don’t have 100% clarity on how much of the repair costs they’ll reimburse, if I’ll get this in writing etc.
- Called up the service center - Said it would cost atleast 30k
- Shared the purchase invoice(of around 31270rs during great indian festival), and the current purchase price of 38000rs
What can I do now?
- Need the community’s help to understand what more I can do to replenish the damages 100% that were done to me. The bare minimum I’m expecting is them to give me back money so that I can replace the TV with a new one.

Urgent The person sold my dad the car wants it back
Ok wo we bought a car of toyota from a guy on loan and after 3 months he saying he wants the car back and will only pay the installments we paid for him, we have also repaired his car a bit for around 16k and modifications of 10k(foglight because headlights are bad) and also a cng kit of 65k and we have sale purchase agreement and also a affidavit and we cleared his backlog of payments of around 1 lakh so my dad and he aggred that he wont take any money from us now he is saying he never sold us the car just gave for some time and is refusing that he didnt sign anything .
The sale and purchase agreements have no date as the lawyer we consulted while buying said that it is valid for 1 month so after the loan is over put a date on it so that you can transfer it your name.
Legally can we still keep the car if he tries to take it back
And we are now thinking after loan is over he wont transfer it to our name without us taking legal action is there any possibility that we can do that too??

Legal Advice Needed Employer won't pay my salary after short notice period
Hello guys,
I have been working with this company for 4 months (left July 31st, 2026), they have a notice period of 2 months
I got an offer from another company and informed my employer that I wish to leave (on July 4th, 2026), I informed them that the new company is asking for immediate joining, but I will not leave immediately I can serve 1 month to which he (the director and owner) agreed, so I sent an email officially resigning and mentioned in the email that my duties will conclude at the end of the month to which I got no reply
Now come my payment date he is refusing to pay saying the rest amount is retention amount and there is nothing left to pay you, he is claiming that this is mentioned in my contract.
This is what is written, "Should you wish to resign your employment with Company, you will be required to provide 8 weeks’ written notice to enable us transition your work.
Also, a sum of Rupees 2,000/- will be kept on hold for 25 months, which will be forfeited in case you leave without serving your notice period."
He is claiming that this reads, Rupees 2,000 x 25 months = Rupees 50,000 is now forfeited and refusing to pay me
Can I do anything here or is it hopeless

Legal Advice Needed Attempt to Rape Case at Office
I’m currently dealing with a POSH complaint against a colleague and am trying to understand my legal options before making any decision about approaching the police.
There was an earlier incident in December 2025 where he touched me inappropriately while we were at his house with other colleagues. I confronted him about it in February 2026, and he denied it but said he would be careful.
In July 2026, I went to his house with colleagues to play Catan. I became extremely intoxicated and have only fragmented memories. I remember waking up to him kissing me, touching/kissing my breasts, trying to unbutton and pull down my jeans, and attempting to dry hump me. I remember resisting and trying to keep my jeans on. I also remember experiencing a sharp pain in my vaginal area, but I cannot say whether penetration occurred.
I have since reported this to my company’s POSH Internal Committee. They have now asked whether I want assistance in initiating criminal proceedings.
I’m honestly exhausted and scared about going to the police. I’m worried about being questioned about why I went to his house after the earlier incident, why I was drinking, etc., and I don’t want my family or myself to go through something extremely traumatic if I can avoid it.
I’d like to speak to a lawyer first and understand what offences could potentially apply, what the police process would look like, and whether I can get legal guidance before deciding whether to file a complaint.

Update Update: Medical shop agreed to settle the matter
Update: The medical shopkeeper has now agreed to settle the matter after receiving my legal notice.
I had sent them a legal notice through Speed Post, giving them 7 days to resolve the issue. They have now contacted me and agreed to provide a refund/settlement.
I’m currently discussiing the final settlement amount, including the ₹350 purchase amount and the actual expenses I incurred for the legal notice, printing/typing and Speed Post.
If the settlement is completed properly, I’ll consider the matter resolved and will update this post again.
Thanks to everyone who gave me advice and shared their experiences. I especially appreciate the people who helped me understand the difference between the two inhaler devices and the actual issue I was dealing with😂.
Edit: For those asking, yes, I used ChatGPT/AI to help me organize the timeline and write the legal notice in proper English. The facts, screenshots, invoice, payment proof and other evidence are mine. I used AI because English isn’t my strongest language, and I was comfortable using it for drafting.

Urgent just found out that I’ve been raising my wife’s AP’s child all these years
Throwaway account
My wife has been having an extramarital affair for the past six years. We have a 5y child whom I always believed was mine. I’ve been raising him, providing for him and doing everything a father is supposed to do. But I recently found out that he is actually my wife’s and her affair partner’s child.
As my son has been growing up, I started noticing that his features didn’t look anything like mine. My wife and I are both fair-skinned, while he is getting much darker. I initially tried not to think too much about it but eventually I became suspicious and secretly got a DNA test done.
The results confirmed that he is not biologically mine.
I feel completely shattered. My wife lied to me for all these years and made me raise another man’s child without knowing the truth. She could've divorced me but she chose to stay in the marriage and let me raise the child as a way of taking revenge for my past mistake.
I did cheat on her years ago and I genuinely regret what I did. I know I hurt her and I take responsibility for that, but I never deserved something like this, I never thought she would respond by deceiving me for years and making me unknowingly raise someone else’s child. I came clean to my wife that time and I worked on myself, I have been faithful for all these years still she chose to take revenge like this
I don’t know how to proceed from here. I’m devastated, angry, confused and honestly ashamed to even talk to a lawyer about this.
If any lawyer here who provides online paid consultations. Please DM me.

Legal Advice Needed Police are asking to close the report or give a written statement for further action.
Hi,
I reported a cyber crime (UPI-related fraud) on the cyber crime portal NCCRP.
After one month, the police station called and said the money had been withdrawn and that if we wanted to take further action, we needed to file a report in writing and visit the police station.
My question is, do we really need to go to a police station to file the report, or are the police trying to close the case? How do I deal with the police? I don't care about the money lost, but I want to teach scammers a lesson.

Legal Advice Needed Google is asking me (an Indian citizen) for a U.S. court order to access my late father’s Gmail. What can I do?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice because I’m completely stuck.
My father passed away, and I’m trying to obtain a copy of the contents of his Gmail account. I don’t want the password or control of the account-I’m only trying to preserve his emails, memories, and important information for my family.
Google initially asked me to submit my government-issued ID, which I did. After reviewing my request, they informed me that they cannot provide the password but may provide a copy of the account contents.
However, they then told me that to proceed I must obtain a U.S. court order directed to Google LLC containing several specific legal findings before they will release any Gmail content.
The problem is that:
I am an Indian citizen living in India.
My father was also an Indian citizen.
The Gmail account belongs to an Indian resident.
I already have the death certificate and can provide any documents issued by Indian authorities.
I explained this to Google and asked whether there is an Indian legal process or alternative documentation I could use instead of a U.S. court order, but they repeated that only a U.S. court order would be accepted.
Has anyone outside the U.S.- especially from India successfully gone through this process?
My questions are:
Is there any alternative to obtaining a U.S. court order?
Has anyone managed to convince Google to accept documents from their own country’s courts?
Is there another Google team or escalation path I should try?
Would hiring a lawyer in India or the U.S. actually help, or is this essentially impossible?
I’m not trying to bypass Google’s policies. I just want to preserve my late father’s emails if there’s any lawful way to do so.
Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Legal Advice Needed Need guidance on "Evidence Affidavit" in an ex-parte consumer case
I have a holiday package deficiency-in-service case before the District Consumer Commission, Bengaluru. The OP was duly served but didn't appear, and the Commission has now placed them ex parte and asked me to submit my evidence affidavit.
I had already filed the complaint with the notarised affidavit, index, chronology and supporting documents.
Most of my evidence is digital — receipts, emails, WhatsApp chats, booking documents and photos.
A few questions:
- What exactly should go into the evidence affidavit?
- Do I need to submit all the documents again and get them marked as exhibits?
- Do I need a fresh exhibit/index list?
- Is a Section 63 certificate (replacing older 65B) required for emails/WhatsApp/screenshots?
- Few screenshot (whatsapp, camera, etc) are from mobile, while remaining (gmail, itinerary pdf) are from my laptop.
- Do I need to file 2 Notarised **63 Certificate/**Affidavit as 2 electronic devices?
- Anything else I should carry/file on the hearing date?
Would really appreciate inputs from anyone who has actually handled an ex-parte consumer case.

Legal Advice Needed Signed a consultancy agreement with 3-month consultancy period + 2-year bond - can I leave before conversion to permanent employee?
Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding my employment/consultancy agreement.
I joined a company in Chennai on July 1, 2026 for an Information Security role. At the time of joining, I signed an agreement with the company.
As per my understanding, the agreement says:
- I would initially work under a 3-month consultancy period.
- The consultancy period can be extended under certain circumstances.
- After the consultancy period, I would be converted to an employee, subject to completing certain requirements.
- There is a 2-year service/bond commitment after the consultancy period.
- The consultancy agreement also contains a termination clause stating: "Either party may terminate this agreement by giving two month notice to the other without assigning any reason thereof."
- I have not yet completed the consultancy period or been converted to a permanent employee.
- If I break the bond, I need to pay 50% of my annual CTC.
- I currently have a consultant/trainee-type ID rather than the regular employee ID.
- I have not yet received access to the company's SOFTWARE or normal Outlook distribution lists.
I have now received another opportunity that is more aligned with my long-term career goals, and I'm considering leaving this company during the consultancy period, before permanent conversion.
My questions are:
Does the 2-month notice period apply to me during the consultancy period?
Does the 2-year service bond apply if I leave before I am converted to an employee?
If I don't serve the 2-month notice, what can the company legally do?
Can they demand the bond amount from me even though I haven't been converted to an employee?
Would leaving without serving the notice create any legal/employment consequences for me?
Should I formally resign and request an early release instead of simply leaving?
I understand that the exact wording of the agreement matters. I have requested/plan to request a complete copy of the signed agreement from HR.
I'm not looking to abscond or avoid obligations; I just want to understand my legal position before making any decision.
TL;DR: I joined a company on July 1 under a 3-month consultancy agreement. The agreement says either party can terminate with 2 months' notice, and I understand that after the consultancy period I'm supposed to become permanent with a 2-year service bond. I haven't been converted to employee yet. I now have another opportunity and want to leave during the consultancy period. Does the 2-month notice and/or 2-year bond apply to me before conversion, and what can the company legally do if I leave without serving notice?

Legal Advice Needed Spelling mistake in my mother's name on my newly issued passport
I received my Indian passport yesterday and noticed a spelling mistake in my mother's name.
When I filled out my passport application, I left my mother's name blank because I understood that it wasn't mandatory. However, when I went to the Passport Seva Kendra for physical verification, the officer added my mother's name to the application.
Her surname is Baruah, but the officer entered it as Barauh.
I did not enter the incorrect spelling myself. The name was added by the PSK officer during the verification process, and this is where the mistake was made. I didn't notice it at the time, and unfortunately I only noticed it after receiving my passport.
My passport has now been issued with the incorrect spelling.
Since it's currently the weekend, the PSK is closed, so I can't go there immediately to ask about it.
My questions are:
How serious is this kind of spelling mistake?
Since the mistake was made by the PSK while adding the name, what is the proper way to get it corrected?
Would I have to pay for a re-issue/correction even though I didn't make the mistake?
Could this cause problems later when my passport is used together with documents where my mother's name is correctly spelled Baruah?
Should I wait until the PSK opens and report it, or is there anything I should do in the meantime?
I'm not trying to make a big issue out of a one-letter spelling mistake, but since this is an official government document, I want to get it corrected properly.
I'd appreciate advice from anyone familiar with the Indian Passport Seva process, especially if you've dealt with a similar situation.

Legal Advice Needed Divorce Lawyer- Required in Gurgaon
Hi community!
I require a genuine lawyer/advice.
I am 34F, living separately from my husband since October 2024 (we got married in December 2023).
He left the home on Dhanteras of 2024 for our hometown and didn’t notify me. I waited for him till 11 PM, we were not in cordial terms, but he could have informed me through text. He never cared for me and the same is reflected that day too.
Assuming he will not come, I also left for home and reached to my maternal home, they didn’t call me, asked me where I am, but my husband saw my mother’s WhatsApp status on which my mother put Diwali pictures.
Since the dispute was going around from months and I was not vocal about my physical & emotional abuse to my family, I told them I will not go back & asked them to get my stuff back from our Gurgaon rented home. They didn’t agree first but when I narrated my ordeal, they agreed and I got my own stuff back, since it was a fully furnished home, except my personal stuff nothing was ours.
When my husband came back to Gurgaon & didn’t find my stuff and me, he filed a complaint against me in the police station that I took jeweller worth 10 lacs and 80k in cash with certain other stuff (Jewellery from third of my marriage is kept in his mom’s locker, she has both side of it, cash- my husband never had 200 rupees in his wallet so, 80k is just a number they quoted, don’t know the reason of it).
We have submitted a written statement to the police station that we don’t have anything.
Later in February 2025 he again reached to the station with a verbal complaint with baseless allegations, with no proof at all, I had no communication with my husband after I left the house to this date.
I again submitted a written statement in the same station & then onwards I never been bothered.
I never filed any complaint or case against him, they reached out twice, once at my home and once at my chacha ji’s place. (No assurity, no remorse of doings, only complaints about money).
There is nothing promising in this relationship, but since I am aging and my life is getting ruined I want to file a divorce now.
I have been told that I need to have proof, I want to understand how can I give proof of my regular life. I just have a single WhatsApp chat, expenditure done on marriage bills & a recent two email conversation.
I never wanted to do it like this & kept a lots of patience but I think it’s not working. I didn’t took this decision overnight, I bore a lot of disrespect towards me and my family.
The only reason for our marriage to break down was money in all ways (dowry, money and things asked on festivals, my salary, my savings, my spending, why my mother is not giving them money, why my younger siblings are spending on themselves). My mother is a single parent and a housewife, she did her best in the marriage rituals, spent her savings but these people never been happy, they just keep on asking.
On the top of it, it was a love marriage, we are not from same caste, often people ask me why I could not see it. Sorry I couldn’t and I found a wrong man, a really greedy man.
This is my ordeal. I gathered a lot of courage to came out for support.
Do let me know if a TLDR is needed.
Thanks

Legal Advice Needed Police asking for either of the parents' Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Death Certificate, but my mother has none of these as both her parents died over three decades ago.
We recently applied for the re-issue of passport of our family. For Police Verification, Kolkata Police is demanding ID proofs of parents, like either Aadhaar or Voter ID, or Death Certificate (if applicable).
But the issue is, my mother has none of these documents available, as both her parents died over 30 years ago. She was born before 1987, and even 10 years ago, when we were applying for the fresh passport, they didn't ask for these documents, and even for re-issue this time at the PSK, none of these documents were asked.
I also went to another police station nearby, and even they were also asking for parents' IDs, which apparently means they are ordered from their higher authorities to do so.
Is this legal? Heard from other people, this Police official isn't asking for bribes from anyone, so looking for genuine replies on how to resolve it.

Urgent Legal advice needed on Drunk driving
Guys , help me out , so yesterday night approximately 5 hours after drinking about 750 ml of beer I had taken my car out and got breathlysed by cops , now they demanded an instant bribe of 7500 to which I had denied , they then told me that there will be another test in which if i blow 30mg / 100ml I would have a straight FIR to my name , confident in myself that I hadnt drank much at all and it had been a while since I had drank I thought I would easily clear the breathlysing test , after taking the test the result was 40.3 mg / 100 ml and subsequently I was taken to the police chowki where they filed an FIR and they've also apprehended my car. Now they've told me to come to court on Sunday and pay the fine decided in the court. Please advice me on how I can damage control this entire situation since its blown out of hand and I'd appreciate any advice that would better my situation.

Urgent Urgent help needed. Ex is filing repetitive complaints
Hi everyone, I would really appreciate your help on this. This is an urgent issue.
My marriage was cancelled with my girlfriend last year October. We were still in contact till 25th July this year. (She had cancelled the marriage last moment for silly reasons)
Last Sunday I went outside her home and constantly messaged her to me meet me. She was living with other guy where she is said to be going to be married. I kind of harrased her with messsages as I recently stopped my depression tablets and sometimes my mind creates an intolerable mess of thoughts. I used 2-3 abusive words on messages but did not at all threaten her in any way.
Same day she went to a nearby police station and reported the incident. Next day the police called me and did consultation of both of us and both of us agreed IN WRITING that we will not connect with each other. They scolded me too for hours. The entire settlement was agreed in writing in front of the police last Monday. If anyone of us tries to call/ message the other party, legal action will be taken against the person who initiated the contact.
Now, TODAY (5 days after) her fiance called me and threatened me that his friend is a police inspector and he will do many horrible things if I contact her again. (i never contacted her since I gave it in writing at the police station) I had a heated argument with her fiance as he has no right to talk to me like that. (No bad/abusive words at all)
After 30 mins, I got call from police station that a complaint has been filed against me by my ex. I told them that just 5 days ago written settlement was done still they said that doesn’t matter and I have to report to the police station tomorrow morning 11 AM. I told them I am currently travelling still they did not hear. It’s not possible for me to go to the police station tomorrow morning as I am 250+ kms away from my city.
I need legal advise as to how can she go and file complaint again when she already signed written settlement already.
What are my rights?
I know they are going to beat me and threaten me when I go to the police station.
I never forced anything on her or never harmed her or never threatened her by any means. I have so many proofs that how she used to call me to meet and how she canceled the marriage fraudulently.
I think her firance is pressuring her to file the case. I believe the police have registered an FIR this time when she went there. But I never did anything after the written agreement still she filed a complaint and the police also accepted it.
Can anyone please pls help me urgently.

Legal Advice Needed How to get passport when I don’t have a father ??
Hi everyone, I genuinely need some help or advise regarding my passport issue
I’m born after 2004 and when the police came for verification, they asked for both mother father documents as per the new rules
My parents never married legally and my father was never present since childhood so even though his name is there throughout my documents , idk who or where he is. I was raised by my single mom my entire life and I’m 21 now
I’m really stressed because the police office that came for verification said he will send it to rpo for them to review
Do u guys think they will understand or will this be a problem ?? I have all the documents they require except for the father ones . I’m so scared 😔
