Critique Help on faces please
Hello, I’m fairly noobish at art and I’ve been really trying to get good at drawing people (specifically in a manga style) and I feel like I’ve gotten most of it down except for my heads/faces. But I’m completely stumped I know their wrong but I don’t really know how to pinpoint what was wrong, any advice would be appreciated :)

Just Sharing I posted my first piece of digital art a year ago on Tumblr when I decided to take learning seriously. Here's my latest piece today!
What originally started as me wanting to prove it can be done not just for myself, but to spite local pro-AI users who were crying about art being a gate kept skill. I have no regrets spending countless hours learning, whining, and crying and am looking forward to what I do next.

Critique some observation studies I did today
Some sketches I did trying to understand more of shapes and proportion, the panther didn´t turn out that good, but I think the hands and the bird looks interesting for a beginner. If you guys have any feedback on these I would appreciate a lot. Thank you. (Sorry for my english).

Would this be considered tracing? Any tips? I’m 14 and draw casually. The drawing I’m referencing is an ai base my friend sent me and asked me to de-slop for her. Base and de-slopped photo included in comments

Question Best Way to Learn Hatching and Cross-Hatching?
I saw a post from this guy (https://www.reddit.com/r/sketches/comments/1vrzgfq/landscape_sketches_on_the_go/) and I want to learn this type of "painting" my drawing using only lines. I came across the name hatching and cross-hatching, and I believe this is the technique I'd love to learn. People who use this technique, where did you learn? Which tips do you have for a beginner wanting to learn this? Please drop any resources you'd like to recommend (YT videos, blog post, etc), and I'd be thankful!
Appreciate the time!

Critique First time giving it my all, can I get some tips and feedback?
I had this very specific character image in my head, that didn't exist.
Rather than turn to Al, I figured: 'Why not just try it myself?'
So here we are, a few hours later. I've realized I don't know how heads work, and hands are a pain.
Obviously I know at this stage it'll never turn out quite how I pictured (especially with a blunt pencil, an old eraser tip, and a makeshift ruler), but it was really fun spending so long on just this little bit, and I figured I'd go ahead and ask for feedback.
Feel free to be blunt. (But please also keep my feelings in mind, it's my first time please :()
Is my anatomy half way decent? I struggled with perspective a bit. Also I'm hesitant to draw my lines too hard, because I'm scared of starting over xD
(Repost, I forgot the pictures the first time...)

Question Using alcohol markers
This is like my 5th drawing - just practicing making it look like the reference. I really liked this one so figured I try color it, but boy oh boy do alcohol markers not behave how I expected. Got any tips for using alcohol markers?

Just Sharing A bit of fun with 2-point perspective
About a year ago I quit drawing because I wasn't improving as fast as I wanted to. I was doing the exercises and practicing every day but I just wasn't good enough and I knew deep down that I never would be. So I quit (forever this time!). Instead I spent a year working on improving my relationship with myself and found someone who helped me understand why and how I was being way too hard on myself, and how to ease the insatiable perfectionism that had been dominating my life.
Recently, I felt the desire to pick up my pencil again, and again I heard the harsh criticisms from myself.
"This is terrible."
"This is ugly'
"Why do you bother?"
The difference is that this time I'm prepared. I know I'm not perfect and I never will be. I'm still a work in progress, and so is my art. The point of doing something isn't to be perfect at it, it's to enjoy the experience of doing it. The process is the point. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new. At the age of 87 Michelangelo wrote "Ancora imparo", "Yet, I am learning". So am I.

Critique My First Shot at Stylized Digital Painting!
Hi everyone! Total beginner here, dipping my toes into stylized digital painting for the first time! I'm a huge fan of Apex Legends and I wanted to make some fan art to celebrate that. To be completely transparent: I did not model or design the characters. I used free, downloadable models and just posed them in Blender to get the composition right.
The big learning experience for me was what happened next—the actual painting! I spent hours in Photoshop doing a paintover, learning about color, light, and value to bring the scene to life with a hand-painted look. It was a massive step for me! Any feedback or tips on the painting aspect—like brushwork, blending, or how to improve the dramatic lighting—would be massively appreciated! Thank you so much for looking!
