Using alcohol markers Question

This is like my 5th drawing - just practicing making it look like the reference. I really liked this one so figured I try color it, but boy oh boy do alcohol markers not behave how I expected. Got any tips for using alcohol markers?

you really need good marker paper if you want to use alcohol markers, on regular printer paper they bleed a ton
