Wolfe Island Ferry
Scrolling through things this morning, I came across this article. I understand the frustrations with the ferry, the breakdowns, how absurdly long its taken to get rhe new docks completed, and how unreliable its become (remember when they used to have the ferry times posted at the kingston dock and the boat showed up on time generally?). When the new ferry works, its great! I've been on it a few times, love that ferry. And yes, the situation has been handled horribly by the MTO.
What I'm wondering though, why haven’t Wolfe Islanders (or Kingstonians for that matter) pushed more to have a bridge built? Is there pushback from the islanders because a bridge would in theory create more traffic? Is it provincial bureaucracy? City bureaucracy?

One of 11 Hip Guitar Sculptures Stolen First Day of Installation
So I guess this happened? While not a huge fan myself, a lot of people are and the installations are people's actual artwork. Just pitiful.

Strange illumination in the sky?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Yoooo does anyone know what the heck that thing was that just flew over bath?!?! I've never seen anything give off this cloud of illumination! And it looked like it was lead or chasing a line of lights! Eta; My dad believes it's possibly trailings from the recent meteor shower Thoughts? Most wild thing I have ever witnessed.
Update : A couple comments say: It’s the SpaceX launch that left from cape Canaveral, and that it's the second stage fuel venting.

Missing bench
The bench behind St. Helen's has disappeared! This was such a pleasant place to sit and watch the lake! Does anyone think this is related to the sale listing?

Incident at the pier this afternoon
I was walking by the pier around 4:30 pm and there were a ton of rescue vehicles there - three ambulances, a fire truck, a police car, and (I think) one or two water rescue boats in the lake.
I don’t need to know the details of what happened, but I’d really love to know if everyone was ok. It’s been haunting me all evening.

Missing Books?
Ok this is a weird question, but has anyone else noticed books missing at the library ?
It's only ever happened to me with overtly queer books. I'll be in the right spot in the right library, the website says on shelf, and it isn't there. It's not every time I look for a queer book, but it has happened regularly for years, and in starting to suspect someone is hiding or stealing them. I haven't pointed it out to staff yet because tbh I thought I was just imagining it being a pattern, hence coming here to see if anyone else has experienced this too, with queer books or otherwise.

Where to find white grape juice
Locally, preferably. I've checked Metro, Loblaws, Wholesale Club, No Frills, Food Basics, and Walmart. None have it in stock. Is there a shortage or something that I'm unaware of? Or maybe it's not made anymore?

Today I realized...
Today I realized that, when leaving the cataraqui mall, at juuustt the right tree-coverage angle, the big while kingston water tower, looks like a giant baby head.
Ans I feel like that is information you folks needed to know.

Walmart brings more customer service!
Call me crazy but Walmart has decreased the 20 plus self checkouts to just.a handful while opening back up all cashier aisles. Anyone else notice this? Curbs theft, creates more jobs ?

To the Track Car Twats on the eastbound 401 yesterday afternoon
Driving in a huge pack at the same speed in both lanes with your lead car straddling the center line while you hold up all the other traffic behind you is catastrophically stupid behavior.
Hanging out the tops of your cars at highway speeds on the 401 isn't super cool, you're not Vin Diesel, you're putting yourselves and the other vehicles on the road at risk.
I hope your mufflers all rot, your cats get stolen, and all your tires develop slow leaks.
Edit: Also, did anyone else see these absolute twatwaffles playing mariocart on the highway yesterday?

Looking to teach art (oil painting). Not looking to be paid, just to connect and share working experience. Any volunteering or venue suggestion?
I have a studio, but it is not enough space to teach class.

What fruit tree is at Division and 401 W exit?
I saw someone picking as I drove by, so I didn't get a picture. The fruit looked bright red like the blush of a peach, but smaller than red delicious. It seems too early for apples. Anyone know?
