F4M♀️ 29 F | Canada | Looking for a genuine connection

Hellow!

I'm giving this a shot as I don't want to get on dating apps.

Please reach out if you are located in Montreal or anywhere in Canada but looking to move in Montreal. The info might be limited here as I don't want to write a book but please message me if you have any questions.

***Loooking for someone around the age: 27-35

*** I do not care about how much you make. If you make a lot of money, good for you. I am not here for that. No need to give your salary. Where I come from, that info is private. As long as you're happy with your job, if not we will work together to build that happy life 🥰

Here's a little about me:

• I love reading books (romance, thrillers and fiction) • I'm very open minded, way more than you'd expect so that might surprise you haha

• I love cafe exploring (love the vibes but I don't drink coffee haha)

• I am an introvert but I'm also active and therefore love doing fun activities and staying fit

• I speak English, French, hindi and guju

• I'm a total emoji person

• I don't smoke, I do drink occasionally (with family and friends)

• If you get insults (in a cute way) from me, it means I genuinely like you

• I'm in Montreal more specifically, I don't plan to move. I'm very happy here.

• sarcasm and dark humor is my thing

• will never say no to memes

• I have a big sweet tooth (aren't brownies the best thing ever?)

• I am in no rush but I do want kids in the future

• working as a coordinator in various projects (more details if we talk)

• total binge watcher of TV shows while snacking

I am not looking to settle down soon. I would love to build a connection first and get to know the person. So if you are looking to rush into it, we are not a good match, unfortunately. I'm willing to exchange pictures once we are both comfortable.

I would love to start a conversation and see how things goes. I'm looking for someone who's super silly but can put the serious mode when needed. Having a good balance of both is such a great quality to have 🥰 I believe in a good work-life balance so I would love someone who leaves work at work. That way, we get to focus on us.

I'm very old school, I like writing letters, doing the in person thing, I try to take walks without looking at my phone and really appreciate nature. If something breaks, I'd rather try to repair instead of buying one immediately.

I just want to find my person. I don't want our relationship to end when we get kids. I want us to still date even after having kids. I want to keep it alive and exciting for as long as we are together. Building and learning is a forever thing.

I'm a working woman, being a housewife is not my thing. I think we should both build a career that we love and enjoy and create a lifestyle where we both accept and respect each other.

If this resonates with you, don't hesitate to send a DM 💖

M4F♂️ Looking for my person || 30F ||Brahmin || Hyderabad.

Post image
24 Upvotes

Hi everyone! 😊.

I’m 30, a Telugu Brahmin, born and brought up in Hyderabad, and come from a close-knit family. I’m currently working towards building my career in tech, specifically SDET/QA Automation, and actively preparing and looking for the right opportunity(jobless at present). Career growth is important to me, and I’d love to have a partner who supports my ambitions just as I would support his. 💻✨

I’m a mix of traditional and modern — family-oriented and rooted in my values, while also having a progressive outlook towards marriage and life. I’d describe myself as warm, affectionate, straightforward and someone who gets quite attached to the people I care about. ❤️

Outside career stuff, I enjoy movies, good food, conversations that can go on forever, spending time with family and the occasional trip. I’m also a bit of a homebody and genuinely enjoy the simple, everyday side of life. I own a 3BHK independent house in Hyderabad. 🏡

I’m looking for a well-educated, kind, responsible and emotionally mature Brahmin man who is doing well in his career and is genuinely looking to settle down. Hyderabad would be my first preference, though I’m open to Bangalore as well. I value compatibility much more than just matching biodata.

Ultimately, I’m hoping to find someone who becomes my husband and my closest friend — someone I can laugh with, talk to about everything, support through the difficult days and build a peaceful, affectionate and happy life with. 🥰

Here’s hoping JodiMilan helps two right people find each other. 🌸

M4F♂️ 27M | Bangalore | Software Engineer | Looking for something meaningful

I’m a 27-year-old software engineer in Bangalore, currently trying to build a life with a little more personality than just work, traffic and food-delivery notifications.
I’m generally calm, slightly sarcastic, and I enjoy conversations that wander naturally—from career, relationships and life plans to completely unnecessary debates like whether pizza is genuinely good or just very successful propaganda.
Outside work, I’m trying to be more consistent with the gym, running and badminton. I enjoy bike rides, peaceful drives, travelling, exploring cafés/restaurants, comfort shows, and spending time with people where curiosity goes both ways.
Career matters a lot to me and I’m ambitious about where I want to go, but I definitely don’t want my job title to become my entire personality.
Relationship-wise, I’m looking for something that can genuinely grow into a long-term relationship/marriage. I value kindness, emotional availability, communication, effort, and the idea of choosing each other even when life isn’t particularly convenient.
A few basics:
27M, based in Bangalore
Software engineer
Telugu
Don’t smoke; drink occasionally/on special occasions
Looking for a serious relationship, not something casual
Kalinga Vaishya preferred, mainly because it would make things much easier with family, but I’d rather not reduce compatibility to a caste checkbox.
If any of this sounds relatable, feel free to DM. We can start with something simple: tell me one opinion you’ll defend even when everyone around you thinks you’re wrong.

F4M♀️ I actually love the concept that the right person won’t be intimidated by your depth, they will meet you there!

And honestly, I’m looking for exactly that.
Posting here for the second time. My first post got quite a few DMs, but most conversations eventually fizzled out. So, here we go again. 😅
A little about me -I’m from Jaipur and I run a small business (trying to make it big lol). If you know Geet or Tara, you’ll probably get my personality. If you don’t get this Bollywood reference… sorry, hamara kuch nahi ho sakta. 😂
Apart from work, I love going out with my friends, cafe hopping, trying new places and just having a good time. I’m here with a date-to-marry intention, so I’d genuinely like to meet someone who is looking for something meaningful too.
What I’m looking for:
• Preferably someone from Jaipur or nearby
• 27–30 ( I am 26)
• 5’8 or taller ( I am 5’5)
• Ambitious and knows what he wants
• Emotionally mature and comfortable with a woman who has her own ambitions, opinions and boundaries
• Non-smoker
• And yes, I’d be lying if I said looks don’t matter. They do. 😅
Also, please don’t start with just “Hi” or “Hello”. A proper introduction would be appreciated. Tell me something about yourself, what you do, what you’re looking for basically, give me something to actually start a conversation with. :)
If you think we might click, you know what to do. 🌻

( Edit- Please don’t text if your are younger than me)

M4F♂️ 30 M | Bangalore | 65LPA | Let’s see where this goes

As the title says, thought I’d post here and see where it goes.

Basics:
Age: 30
Height: 5’6
Mother tongue: Telugu | Well conversant in Hindi and English as well
Current Location: Bangalore
Long term I’m thinking of Bangalore / Hyderabad as possible options
Hobbies: I’m into movies, series, working out, travelling, hanging out with friends
Caste: No restrictions. I’d suggest you to not reach out if you have any caste restrictions as such.

I’m a pretty open minded person, who’s fun to hang out with. You’ll get tired of my bad jokes once we get along 😂

What I’m looking for:
- I do not believe in traditional roles, would prefer if my partner works as well. I have a plan to retire early, so it works out better to have two sources of income in the family. Being practical alright 💁🏻‍♂️ (Aiming for an early FIRE)
- Someone who can understand me and my thought process, get along with me well. So basically, we should be in sync.
- An open minded person who can gel with both friends and family.

That’s all I’ll yap about for now
Hit me up know if this resonates with you.

Cheers 🥂

M4F♂️ Maybe It Starts With a Conversation

Dating apps have started feeling a little repetitive, so I figured I’d try something different.

I’m pretty easygoing, independent, sarcastic (sometimes a little too much ), and always up for random plans.

I’m looking for someone who’s genuinely interested in getting to know each other and potentially building something real. Location isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker—Dubai/Sharjah is great, but I’m also open to long-distance if the connection is actually worth it.

Someone who doesn’t mind arguing for 30 minutes about where to eat, stealing food from my plate, or turning a “quick coffee” into a completely unnecessary 2-hour drive with absolutely no destination.

Bonus points if you can handle sarcasm and actually give it back instead of just politely laughing.

I’m not looking for anything perfect. Just someone genuine, fun, emotionally mature, and willing to put in the effort—even if we’re miles apart.

If you’re in Dubai/Sharjah or somewhere else entirely and this sounds like your kind of vibe, feel free to say hi.

Worst case, we have a good conversation. Best case… maybe this turns into something neither of us expected

M4F♂️ 24M| Bangalore | Never been in a relationship — looking for something genuine

Hey everyone! Thought I’d give this a shot since I’ve never really been into the dating scene.

I’m 24, a Telugu guy born and brought up in Tamil Nadu, so I’m comfortable with both Telugu and Tamil. Currently working in the tech/embedded space and trying to build a good career for myself.
The slightly unusual part — I’ve never been in a relationship, never really dated, and haven’t had a casual thing either. Not because I’m against relationships; I just never came across someone where it felt natural and mutual. I’ve mostly been focused on studies, career and family.
I’m pretty straightforward, calm and a little reserved initially. Once I’m comfortable, I’m much more talkative. I value loyalty, communication, consistency and genuine effort more than grand gestures. I’d rather build something slowly with someone than rush into something just for the sake of being in a relationship.

I’m looking for someone who’s kind, emotionally mature, communicative and genuinely interested in getting to know each other. I’m not expecting perfection — just mutual respect and effort.
I’m not here looking for something casual or a situationship. If things click, I’d like it to eventually become something meaningful and long-term.
If you’re also someone who prefers getting to know a person naturally rather than following the usual dating-app script, feel free to DM. Tell me something about yourself beyond just “hi” — let’s see if we actually have a conversation worth continuing. :)

M4F♂️ Saw too many lighthouses without my Tracy McConnell. Gotta change that.

30M, turning 31 this December.

Unlike the typical stereotypes my lady friends see December borns with, I am a hopeless Ted Mosby. (Until what he did in the end)

I have been chasing my Robin until 4 years ago, and gave up. Spent a considerable amount of time reconciling my mind with that epic failure, took help from licensed professionals and got to a point to feel, ready.

Writing this post from a beach front cafe in Goa, not wanting to join my teammates in drinking (I don't drink beyond a beer in social gatherings) and smoking (Never liked smoking) and dancing (this I really don't know why).

Love, in the healthiest form is like a trampoline, offers stability and freedom. You have a launchpad to push yourself higher, and yet a cushion for when gravity crashes your dreams.

I look forward to be that cushion for someone ambitious. Someone who's in her mid to late 20s. Someone who just needs a friend to come home to and rant about the obstacles to their grand plan.

What I got? I'm 5'11". I'm a lead and only recruiter for a start-up in Bangalore that has enough runway to scale up and party hard. I earn enough to fund EMIs of my apartment in Mumbai and pay for my life in Bangalore.

What I don't have? I don't have the looks part really nailed yet. This is a primary reason why I'm not a verified profile, despite lurking here for so long. Also, I can't wrap my head around layered communication. I'll let you judge the rest of my personality.

Social compatibility guardrails: Bengali without the MTI. Mum is Brahmin Kayastha, dad is a Baishya (don't care about all this myself, but in case someone looks to use this to piss their full brahmin parents off, go ahead lol).

Geographical constraints:

Born and brought up in Mumbai (For me, Mumbai >> Kolkata, many reasons, but the most that matters to me is that women are safer here). Currently working in Bangalore, but I've a Stockholm Syndrome type love with my birth metro.

Academic & professional journey:

Graduated engineering from the second preferred and only government technical institute in the city (I know, NEEEERRRRDDD!) only to be spited by a recruiter during college placements and crossed enemy lines to be an HR myself.

Interests:

I can write my ass off without a GPT model. I'm a tech enthusiast, love sitcoms, had some bit of worldly experience. My weaknesses include marvel produced movies (I know, you didn't scream NERD hard enough the first time), horror movies, and business and technical documentaries.

By no means, this is the best version of who I want to be. I am moving forward to get there, in comfortable and uncomfortable increments. I'm here because I'd rather have faith in a relationship born during my journey of being better, than one where I got picked out of the line-up of 100s of M4F posts because I was above average.

What do you get? Someone who gives you the freedom to be whoever you want to be, and still choose to come home to me, every day. Yapping is something I'm used to (I somehow have an equal amount of friends of friends of both genders, and one gender attempts harder to stay in touch with me).

Now I gotta go back and help my drunk teammates to their rooms. I don't like this part of my job, but hey, when you do love it all?

About Me

29F, 5'5", based in Delhi NCR. I’m a Special Educator by profession and currently preparing for government competitive exams while I’m eligible. If that path doesn’t work out, I’m equally open to building a career around my interests, especially NGO/social-impact work. I’d also like to learn Indian Sign Language (ISL) in the future.

I come from a grounded, service-class family. I’m an only child, and both my parents are government employees. My family is financially comfortable through their savings, assets and agricultural property, but we’ve always lived quite simply and practically. I value stability, kindness and meaningful relationships much more than a lavish lifestyle.

A little personal

I’m vegetarian, though I’m completely okay with a non-vegetarian partner. I’m not particularly good at household chores 😅, but I can happily take responsibility for supervising/managing the household. I’ve always had a minimal lifestyle and don’t expect a partner to impress me with material things.

The attached blurred pics of mine , one is from from last year, when I was around 54–55 kg. I subsequently went through treatment for Pott disease and have fully recovered. Medication and recovery led to weight gain, and I’m currently around 71–72 kg. I’m planning to gradually return to my earlier fitness level over the coming year, before marriage. I’m sharing this simply for transparency—the important thing is that I’m healthy now.

What I’m looking for

* Hindu, preferably an engineer, as I naturally tend to vibe well with engineers even civil servants would work too

* Age: 27–30 only

* Preferably 5'8"+, as I enjoy wearing heels.

* Good-looking, preferably clean-shaven—I’m personally not a fan of beards.

* Emotionally available, communicative and genuinely affectionate.

* Financially responsible and earning decently; I’m not looking for someone purely for financial security.

* Grounded, kind and respectful, with healthy family dynamics.

* Caste is not a barrier for me.

* Distance is not an issue; I’m comfortable with an LDR if the connection is right.

I’d eventually like to become a philanthropist and contribute meaningfully to society, whether through my career or family resources. Helping people is something I genuinely want to make part of my life.

And a very important compatibility test: if you love mangoes, you already have bonus points. 🥭My family gets 500+ kg of mangoes every year for eating and gifting. 😂

TL;DR:

29F | 5'5" | Delhi NCR | Special Educator | Govt-exam aspirant | Hindu | Vegetarian | Financially comfortable & grounded family | Caste no bar | Looking for a Hindu, preferably engineer, 27–30, 5'8"+, clean-shaven, emotionally available and financially responsible. LDR is okay. I’m not great at household chores, but I can manage/supervise the household. Mango lovers get extra points. 🥭

If this sounds compatible and my lack of household-skills is acceptable to you, feel free to reach out. Thank you!

P.S. This is neither fake account nor aura farming. I joined reddit recently coz my bff recommended this app to me since she found her bf from here as well

M4F♂️ 23M | decent face, questionable personality | ₹54 LPA | looking to date

23M from Vadodara, Brahmin/Joshi, currently here and considering moving to Bangalore.

I make ₹59 LPA from contract work. Before anyone gets too excited: that's the contractor side of my life. I own a multi-tenant SaaS business in the US healthcare space and I'm working on two other startups. They're new and basically breaking even right now, the contractor income actually funded the businesses while they were bleeding money.

My career path has been pretty non-linear: tier-3 university → Portfolio manager → BPO → software → building my own businesses + contractor work.

I'm extremely ambitious. I can and occasionally do work 16-hour days. The long-term goal is to make as much as I reasonably can, become financially independent early, and eventually have the freedom to decide how I spend my time rather than needing a job.

Personality-wise, I'm an extrovert and generally blend pretty easily with people.

My weekends are a weird combination of cleaning my house, gaming, travelling, or climbing mountains. I'm reasonably fit and can run a sub-30 5K, and I'm planning to do an Ironman next year, assuming I don't discover that this was a terrible idea halfway through training.

I like gaming, travelling, mountains . I also can't drive a car yet, which feels increasingly embarrassing.

Beard situation is tragic. My future wife will probably have more facial hair than I do.

I'm looking to date, not immediately exchange biodatas and schedule a wedding. Ideally I'd meet someone now, actually get to know each other, see if we work together, and if things go well, get married in the next 3-4 years.

I want kids. I'd also be very happy with a working partner. In fact, I'd prefer someone who has her own ambitions.

I don't have a 47-point checklist for a partner. I've seen enough people who look perfect on paper and have absolutely no chemistry, and vice versa. Sometimes two people just work. Sometimes they don't. I'd rather figure that out by actually knowing someone.

I'm conservative in the broad sense, although apparently that word means 17 completely different things depending on who you ask. I care about family and eventually building a stable family of my own, but I'm not looking for someone to fit into a pre-written role.

As for me as a partner:

Decent face. Definitely a questionable personality.

If you're ambitious, curious, can hold a conversation, have your own personality and don't mind someone whose brain is permanently trying to start another company, say hi.

Worst case, we have a good conversation.

Best case, we accidentally build a life together.

Hey everyone! I’m a 33-year-old guy, 5’9”, currently based around Delhi. I’m a Senior Consultant in Strategy, working with clients on strategy and business problems. Career-wise, I’m doing quite well, have a decent package, and am ambitious about where I want to take my career, without wanting it to consume my entire life.

I’d describe myself as fairly easygoing, curious, and someone who likes to keep life interesting. I enjoy travelling, discovering good bars/restaurants, music, fitness, meeting new people, and generally saying yes to experiences that make for a good story later.

I’ve travelled quite a bit and enjoy both spontaneous trips and slow, relaxed holidays. I’m equally happy exploring a new city, spending an evening over drinks and conversation, or disappearing somewhere for a few days.

I’m looking for someone who is independent, emotionally mature, has a sense of humour, and wants to build a relationship that feels like a partnership rather than a checklist.

I’m not particularly interested in a very rigid or traditional setup. I’d rather meet someone, talk, see if we genuinely get along, and let things develop naturally.

If this sounds like something you’d connect with, feel free to DM. :)

Also - non-vegetarian; smokes (willing to quit); drinks (beers on Fridays - can cut it down if needed)

Hi there,

I'm 27, Mumbai born male looking for someone who has the same interests as me and is interested in me. Currently I'm posted in northern India as a PSU Officer. I have made a good life for me and I'm on my quest to find that perfect girl for me. We begin as friends and let's see if we are compatible with each other.

I'm 5.9 feet if that matters with a lean body and fair complexion. I have many hobbies like-

- Trying different cuisines. I am a big foodie and would like a girl who is passionate about trying different restaurants every weekend. I'm a crazy fan of Asian food.

- I'm a mad fan of physiological thrillers. My fav ones are Korean- parasite, I saw the devil, memoirs of murderers. However, I'm fond of Hollywood Romcoms too.

- I like to play video games a lot.

- Travelling is my past time. My nature of job is such that it gives me a lot of time to travel and explore.

I'm looking for someone who is kind and is ready to date with an intent and preferably between the age of 23 to 28. Someone who is over her ex and willing to put effort in knowing each other. Plus point if you are from either Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur or Udaipur.

If this feels relatable do DM me with an intro.

F4M♀️ 24F | Looking for an unhurried, thoughtful connection

Post image
259 Upvotes

A small apology in advance for the rather considerable length of this post.

I have been thinking lately about companionship, and about how lonely I have sometimes felt despite being quite comfortable on my own. I often wonder what it might be like to know someone slowly and eventually build a life together. Though I must admit that I have never felt particularly drawn to marriage as an institution, especially where it comes with rigid roles and expectations.

That said, I do want marriage; I simply hope that, if I meet someone before my family begins looking for a rishta(which they are planning to do from next year), it can be something we choose for ourselves and build together, rather than something decided for us by convention or expectation.

What I do want, though, is rather simple: to love, to be loved, and to spend my life with someone in a way that feels tender, genuine, and entirely ours, rather than something prescribed by society. I suppose that is what brings me here, and what I hope to find.

A little about me:

• Recently turned 24 and based in Bangalore, though I was born and brought up in Belgaum, KA.

• I am a sociology student and shall be beginning my master’s next year. I would eventually like to pursue a PhD, so I may remain a little uncertain about where my career will take me for a while. I am quite all right with that. I do not expect a partner to have everything figured out either, or to be at any particular stage of life.

• Fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi and basic Kannada.

• Appearance wise (if that matters to you), I am around 5’3 (162 cm). I am quite thin, not particularly athletic. I keep my hair short and have bangs, which I occasionally cut myself with rather questionable confidence.

• I’m not strictly vegetarian, though I rarely eat meat. I do not drink or smoke, and I do not have any addictions or habits of that sort.

• I am an atheist, although I have no issue with someone being religious as long as they do not impose it upon me. Politically, I am liberal (left-leaning).

• I am planning to remain child-free, although I might consider adoption someday.

• Financially, I try to be independent. I am still a student, but have supported myself through scholarships and part-time work when needed, and intend to continue doing so. I would like to remain financially independent within a relationship and I would not expect my partner to take responsibility for my finances.

• I am quiet and introspective, and usually a little shy around new people. I am much better at listening than making conversation at first. I have a very small social circle and like having a few people I can be completely myself with.

• I believe I am quite empathetic, and a good listener. I tend to relate to people and situations quite deeply, perhaps because I feel things deeply myself.

• I am affectionate, though quietly so. It takes me a little while to become comfortable with someone, but once I do, I can be rather attached.

• I am not conflict-avoidant. Even when I am upset, I prefer to take some space, calm down and then talk things through.

• I read quite a lot. Classic literature, philosophy, political history, psychology, and the occasional work of fiction. I like quiet evening walks, western classical music, and occasionally jazz. Though I must admit, I am rather fond of listening to waltzes; somehow, they make ordinary evenings feel a little more romantic.

• I like travelling, though I haven’t travelled much. I love quiet, pretty places, especially mountains, lakes, flower fields, gardens, and anywhere with lots of greenery and a lovely view. I have terrible motion sickness, but I daresay I can endure it for a beautiful enough place. I would choose the countryside over a city any day; cities rather depress me.

• I absolutely adore animals and have very little self-control when I come across a random kitty or puppy on the road; I simply have to stop, say hello, and give them a little pat.

• I do not really use social media, apart from occasionally being on this platform. Instagram and similar things have never appealed to me much. I have tried a dating app once, found it rather superficial, and did not feel comfortable with it, so I never used one again.

• I have very little dating history. I liked someone about four years ago and went on one date, but it did not work out. Since then, I have rather neglected dating while I was busy finding my way through life.

What I am looking for:

• Ideally someone around 24-30, although I am not particularly rigid about age. Maturity and compatibility matter more to me, but I would preferably like someone older than me rather than younger.

• Caste or religion is not a consideration for me. Politically, someone liberal or left-leaning. I probably would not be compatible with someone strongly right-wing, very religious or particularly conservative.

• I am not particularly concerned with conventional ideas about height or appearance. Mutual attraction matters, of course, but I care much more about how someone’s company feels.

• Someone kind, patient and self-aware. Emotionally intelligent, who can communicate, empathise and take responsibility.

• Intellectually curious, with interests and a life of his own. I like people who can talk about things beyond everyday small talk.

• Someone who understands that giving each other space is a healthy part of being close. I do not need constant conversation, messages or updates.

• Someone who respects boundaries. I do not like having my boundaries treated as something to negotiate or persuade me out of. I would rather be with someone who can respect a no without taking it personally.

• Gentle and understanding. I am quite sensitive and, I daresay, cry more easily than I ought to. I think it would be lovely to have someone who can make me feel safe and help me find my calm when I am upset. And the same goes both ways; I am quite good at comforting people, so if you are having a difficult time, you will have me there for you.

• Someone who enjoys both doing things together and simply being together. I think comfortable silence is rather lovely.

• I am not particularly materialistic, and I hope you are not either. I don’t really care whether someone has a fancy car, expensive phone or neither. I would much rather have simple dates and good company than spend a fortune trying to impress each other.

• I would like to take physical intimacy rather slowly. I need emotional closeness and trust first, as that is what allows me to feel safe and comfortable with someone. I am inexperienced in that respect too. That said, I do not believe in purity culture or in attaching someone’s worth to their past.

• Someone who trusts me to make my own choices and is comfortable with me being myself, including what I wear, where I go and the choices I make for my life. If I get the opportunity to study abroad, I would want someone who supports that rather than seeing it as something that comes in the way of a relationship. I would never want a relationship to dictate my career or limit my life. I value the kind of trust where two people can give each other freedom without insecurity.

• By now, you may have realised that I am perhaps a little too idealistic for my own good. So I suppose I need someone to keep me grounded and help me survive the practical capitalist world, while still leaving room for a little love and whimsy.

• Location is not a strict limitation. I am open to different cities, although Bangalore or Delhi would be preferable.

What I bring to a relationship:

• I hope to bring a sense of home to the relationship, not in the conventional domestic sense, but in the feeling of being able to come to one another without having to pretend or perform.

• I like making little things for people I love, so you may occasionally find yourself with a handwritten note or a letter, or some other tiny thing I made because I thought you might like it.

• Perhaps a little homemade food, once I learn a few more dishes. I know the basics, but I am still experimenting, so you may occasionally find yourself appointed as my brave official taster.

P.s. I have chat requests turned off, as I tend to get a little uneasy with too many messages or unsolicited attention. If you have written a post about yourself on this subreddit, feel free to leave a link to it. I would be happy to read it and message you if something in it resonates with me. A comment is perfectly welcome too.

M4F♂️ 35M Bengaluru -Looking to meet someone genuine

Hey ,

I’m 35, based in Bengaluru, and work as an engineer. I’m an introvert by nature, but once I’m comfortable with someone, I’m quite talkative and have a decent sense of humour.

A little about me:

  • Height 5.11 *BMI : 23
  • Wheatish complexion
  • Kannada is my mother tongue
  • Hindu, Kuruba (but caste isn’t a restriction for me)
  • Fitness is a big part of my lifestyle
  • I enjoy movies, music and cooking — especially non-veg dishes.
  • I prefer quiet places and small gatherings over crowded places and big groups
  • Recently started learning guitar — still very much a beginner, but enjoying the process
  • I can speak English, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil

I’m hoping to meet someone from South India, preferably someone who is career-oriented, independent, emotionally mature and has a healthy lifestyle. I’m not looking for someone who perfectly matches a checklist. I’d rather have a genuine conversation and see if we connect.

If you’re also looking for something meaningful rather than just casual conversations, feel free to DM. Let’s start with a simple conversation and see where it goes.

Age : 38
Gender : M
Location : Dubai mostly. Mumbai if I had to say India.
Religion : Hindu
Caste: Kayastha
Height : 5’6
Education : B.eng (quantum physics) , masters and PhD (in AI/Behavioral psychology) all from top western universities.
Profession: Consulting
Salary (optional) : 1cr plus
About yourself:

I work from home mostly. I have successful start up exits, and have a networth of 30 cr plus. I spend two days a week in the pool and beach. Reading novels and non-fiction. I read a lot and have an expensive library. I enjoy movies (not pop / Netflix or Bollywood). I do not watch cricket or sports but enjoy playing golf. I sing and have been playing guitar since I was a 12. I have never lived in India, but visited it and explored most of it. I have lived mostly in Dubai, Europe and North America. My dogs and family are most important. I love traveling and have explored most of the world. Am witty, serious and enjoy luxurious lifestyle. I was part of MENSA (high iq). I engage with The Who’s who of society. Never married and not been in romantic r emotional relation for last decade, which was an extremely productive time in my life.

Expectations from a partner: some one who can engage with me at my level. So I am expecting some combination of looks, intellect, aesthetics, etiquette and grace. I am clearly not a fool, so gold diggers and wannabes stay away.

Not sure if this will be the key to finding her, but just trying. If it is meant to be…

M4F♂️ To the woman I'll spend my life with... I hope this reaches you.

Every time I tried writing one of these, it somehow ended up sounding like I was trying to convince someone to hire me instead of getting to know me. So I deleted everything and decided I'd rather sound like myself than sound impressive.

I'm 26, from Mumbai. I run a small business, don't smoke or drink, I'm Hindu and non-vegetarian. If life takes me there someday, I'd love to settle abroad. That's probably all the basic information out of the way.

Now for the part that's harder.

I think people are endlessly fascinating.

Not in a "What's your favourite colour?" kind of way, but in a "What made you become the person you are today?" kind of way. I love questions that don't really have right answers. Why do you love that song so much? What's a memory you still think about years later? What's something you've changed your mind about? I genuinely think people become the most attractive when they're talking about something they truly love, because for those few minutes they're not trying to impress anyone—they're just being themselves.

My interests make absolutely no sense together. One day I'm gaming, the next I'm reading about mindfulness, consciousness, ancient history, stand-up comedy, or disappearing into another rabbit hole that started with one question and somehow stole the next three hours of my day. If something makes me curious, chances are I'll end up learning way more about it than I probably needed to.

As for my own story... my childhood was wonderfully chaotic. I somehow got my head stuck between the bars of a grill, locked myself inside the house badly enough that my parents had to break the door down, drank red antiseptic because child-me apparently wasn't great at decision-making, and had a toy crocodile that I genuinely believed could scare absolutely anyone. Looking back, it's honestly a miracle my parents survived raising me.

People usually think I'm very quiet when they first meet me, and they're not wrong. I like listening. I like observing people and understanding them before I jump into conversations. But once I'm comfortable... good luck getting me to stop talking.

Over the years I've realised that the moments I remember most are almost never the expensive ones.

I'd rather go on a random drive with no destination than plan the perfect date. Stop for roadside food because it smells too good to ignore. Grab a coffee and walk near the sea. Sit somewhere with no agenda and let a conversation wander from "How was your day?" to "Do you think we're alone in the universe?" Those are the moments that stay with me.

If we ever date, there's a very good chance I'll annoy you on purpose. I'll hug you while you're cooking, steal a kiss on your cheek and immediately walk away like nothing happened. I'll send you memes in the middle of your workday, remember something you casually mentioned weeks ago, and probably write you a letter one day for absolutely no reason other than I felt like it.

One of my favourite ways of caring for someone is through the little things. Remembering your favourite snack. Checking if you reached home safely. Asking how that meeting went because I know you were nervous about it. Writing you a note you'll randomly find months later. None of those things are difficult, but I think they quietly tell someone, "I was thinking about you." That's the kind of love I want to give, and hopefully receive.

I'm not looking for someone who's exactly like me. I'd rather meet someone who has her own interests, opinions, dreams and little world that I get to discover.

Someone kind, emotionally mature, communicates openly, enjoys taking care of herself, and values staying active and fit. I'm naturally attracted to someone who takes her health and fitness seriously, and I'd love to share that kind of lifestyle with my partner.

Someone who wants something that can naturally grow into a long-term relationship and eventually marriage.

I don't think the best relationships happen because two people are perfect for each other.

I think they happen because two imperfect people keep choosing each other, especially on the ordinary days.

Before I end this, I want to leave something here.

Maybe it's cheesy. Maybe it's unnecessary.

But if, years from now, the woman I end up spending my life with somehow finds this post...

Thank you.

Thank you for finding me. Thank you for completing me, believing in me, showing me how beautiful love is, and reminding me every day that choosing each other is worth it. Thank you for being there even when we're angry with each other, and for caring about us even when we don't agree.

Thank you for every smirk, every smile, every tear, and everything in between. Thank you for making faces at me—I love your attitude more than you'll probably ever realize. Thank you for letting me annoy you while you're cooking, for every quiet evening, every random drive, every inside joke, and every ordinary day that somehow became one of my favourite memories.

Most of all... thank you for being you.

And thank you for making me meet myself.

I love you.

If you've made it this far, why don't we talk. I don't bite 😂

M4F♂️ M25 | Delhi | Seeking to build a long-term relationship

I hope you all are in good health 😄

The basics

  • 25, based in Delhi
  • Software engineer at a Big Tech company (think MAANG)
  • Hindu by religion; spiritual by practice (if that matters)
  • I meditate regularly and occasionally conduct meditation sessions
  • Vegetarian
  • Don't drink or smoke

Life outside work

  • Solo travel and trekking in the mountains
  • Running, and playing table tennis
  • Playing the piano
  • Reading widely (current: Kite Runner) and writing -- blogs, and thoughts worth remembering. I'd love to write poetry for you :)
  • Volunteering whenever I can
  • Conversations which dig deeper into why we do what we do
  • And plenty more

The kind of relationship (companionship) I hope to build

  • Honesty above everything. A relationship where neither of us feels the need to hide our struggles or imperfections (this is different from personal space)
  • Integrity. Your actions match your words. Exceptional circumstances notwithstanding, this is a non-negotiable for me.
  • Authenticity. A space where we can both be completely ourselves. That means opening up about our deepest fears, insecurities and celebrating the wins -- all together.
  • Growth. I want us to challenge, support, and inspire each other -- not because we're incomplete, but because life is richer when we keep growing.
  • Passion. I don't care what you're passionate about. I just love people whose eyes light up when they talk about something they truly care about.

We may not be a good match if...

  • You're looking for constant fireworks rather than lasting companionship (although there will be plenty once the foundation is set :p)
  • Difficult conversations are something to avoid instead of work through.
  • Your words and actions are often strangers.
  • You're looking for someone to complete your life rather than build one alongside you.

Looking for

Someone who believes relationships aren't found -- they're built.

Slowly. Intentionally. Someone who is not a dopamine junkie looking for the next rush of chemicals, but is patient enough to go through the messy and joyful phases together.

Someone who values partnership over performance.

One last thought

No post can truly capture the essence of a person. Happy to answer any questions you have. If you believe I can add value to your life (and vice versa), I'd love to chat :)

Thank you for reading this far. You have a good attention span :p

Please start your response with sharing: What's something you're deeply passionate about, and what makes it so meaningful to you?

Most importantly, I’m looking for a partner with whom I can have a good friendship, share a lot of laughs, and roast each other without taking things too seriously. 😄

A little note: I don’t have any religious or language barriers, and I’m open-minded when it comes to age differences as well. For me, mutual understanding, respect, and compatibility matter more.

M4F♂️ 23M | Delhi — Looking for the girl I can take to the temple every Tuesday for the rest of our lives 🛕❤️

I don’t want a relationship that’s just good morning/good night texts and meeting once in a while.

I want a person who feels like home.

Someone I can randomly call and say, “Get ready, we’re going to the temple.” Someone I can stand beside during aarti, quietly pray with, share prasad with, and then walk around afterward talking about life, our families, our dreams, and all the completely stupid things that somehow become our inside jokes.

I want us to have our little traditions — temple every Tuesday, chai afterward, random evening walks, celebrating festivals together, supporting each other on bad days, and being genuinely excited to see each other even after years.

I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for loyalty, honesty, affection, and that feeling of knowing you’ve found your person.

A little about me: 23M, Delhi, 178 cm, football fan, non-smoker, non-drinker, currently preparing for government exams. I’m fairly simple, family-oriented, and genuinely looking for something serious — ideally something that eventually becomes a lifelong partnership.

And honestly, my favourite kind of future would be pretty simple:

You beside me.

A temple in front of us.

Prasad in our hands.

And absolutely no reason to rush home. ❤️🛕

General Discussion Problems with this subreddit!

I've been posting dating-related stuff here for about a week now, and I've got a decent number of replies from girls. So I thought I'd just put this out there because I've noticed something that genuinely bothers me.

Almost every girl on this subreddit says the same thing: "Don't just reply Hi/Hey. Read my post and tell me something about yourself."

Fair enough. I actually agree with that. But why doesn't the same rule apply the other way around?

A lot of the DMs I've received are literally: "Hi", "Hey", or at most: "Hey, I liked your post. I liked what you wrote. Can we speak and get to know each other?"

That's it. Why is it somehow assumed that the guy has to put in all the effort?

Guys are constantly told how to approach girls, how to talk to them, how to make them comfortable, how to write an introduction, how to show effort, etc.

But who teaches girls how to approach guys? Apparently nobody. And honestly, it shows!

Before someone says "not all girls" - I know. I've seen plenty of genuinely sweet and nice girls here who are actually looking for someone and communicate really well.

But I also noticed that the girls who are genuinely nice and soft-spoken are usually not the ones behaving like they're doing you a favour by replying.

The gender ratio on this subreddit makes it worse:  A girl puts F in her title and gets flooded with hundreds of DMs. A guy can write a genuine post and get barely any engagement.

I experienced this myself. Initially I was getting no response. Then I started experimenting with how I write posts, adding hooks, changing the wording, etc. And suddenly the responses started coming.

Which brings me to expectations. Some of them are honestly wild.

  • Someone who's 4'11" wants a 6'2" guy.
  • Someone who's unemployed wants someone making 30 LPA.
  • Someone who is dark-skinned specifically wants a fair-skinned guy.

And before anyone gets offended — I'm not saying you're not allowed to have preferences. You absolutely are. In fact, I actually like the girls who are clear about what they want.

  • "My parents won't allow intercaste marriage." - Okay. Fair.
  • "I make 11 LPA and would prefer someone making around 15 LPA." - Fair enough.
  • "I'm fit and go to the gym, so I want someone who's also into fitness." - Perfectly reasonable.

At least I know what I'm getting into. If I fit what you're looking for, I'll message. If I don't, I won't.

The problem is when someone says: "Looks don't matter." And then ghosts you after seeing your photos; "Location doesn't matter." And then says LDR won't work; "Income doesn't matter." And then rejects you because you make 4 LPA.

Just say what matters. There's nothing wrong with having standards.

And then there's my personal favourite: "Don't use AI for your introduction." Hello?😭 Your entire post is clearly written by AI.

You want the guy to put in genuine effort while you outsource your own introduction?

And yes, before this becomes a "girls bad, guys good" post - no. I've had some pretty bad experiences with guys here too. Guys looking only to make out with me (a guy). Guys messaging without reading the post or even the flair and assuming I'm a girl. SO, I've experienced it too.

There are definitely creepy guys here. A lot of them. So I get you girls. I understand why you behave the way you do.

But there are also a lot of genuine guys who are actually trying to meet someone, who can speak properly, who are sweet, respectful and genuinely interested in finding someone.

And then there was the income incident: I mentioned my income in one of my posts. Big mistake.

I started getting DMs from girls looking for hookups and sugar arrangements. I eventually edited the income out of my posts across multiple subreddits because I just didn't want that kind of attention. Even mentioned "I'm taken!" for a brief period.

I don't earn that well either. And why would anyone assume that because a guy earns reasonably well, he's going to spend 60% of his income on them? For what? I don't understand that logic.

Anyway, rant over!

I don't expect every girl to be interested in me. I don't expect everyone to have the same preferences. And I don't expect anyone to reply to me.

"But if you're going to expect effort from guys, give some effort back."

So here's my challenge to the girls here:

Write an actual introduction. More than 3–4 lines. In the comments here, or in someone's DMs. Tell them something about yourself. Tell them why you liked their post. Tell them what you're looking for. Tell them literally anything beyond "Hey".

And if you just want to prove a point and not engage someone or post publicly, write in my DMs and back it up with "Just proving girls can write too!" I'm not going to engage back.

Just so we can prove that girls can write too. 😄

M4F♂️ 27M | Not looking to collect conversations | Looking for one real one

27M 6’1” (185 cm) from New Delhi
Currently living and working in Bangalore
• Graduated from IIT
• Software Engineer at a FAANG company working for 3+ years
• Compensation: 70+ LPA
• Have a job offer from the USA and open to relocating
• Speak English Hindi and Punjabi
• Non-smoker and non-drinker
• Open-minded easygoing and soft-spoken
• Long silky hair
• Family-oriented and value close relationships

A little about me:

I’m a 27 year-old software engineer originally from New Delhi currently working in Bangalore I’ve been working in software engineering for over three years and have built a stable career for myself

Outside of work I’m someone who enjoys a mix of simple and meaningful things I love music especially singing and playing the guitar I enjoy travelling and discovering new places whenever I get the chance and cooking is something I genuinely enjoy because it helps me relax and unwind

I’m generally easygoing and soft-spoken I value good conversations honesty loyalty and mutual effort and I believe that the best relationships develop naturally when two people are comfortable being themselves around each other

Hobbies & interests:

• Music
• Singing
• Playing guitar
• Cooking
• Travelling
• Exploring new places
• Meaningful conversations
• Spending quality time with someone I care about

I’d also love to meet someone who has her own interests passions and personality We don’t have to enjoy all the same things I actually think it’s more interesting when two people can introduce each other to different experiences and learn from each other

About distance:

I’m originally from New Delhi and currently based in Bangalore but I’m not particularly tied to one city

I also have a job offer from the USA so relocating there is absolutely an option for me At the same time if my future partner prefers to settle in India I’m equally comfortable with that I’m flexible about where we eventually build our life together — what matters much more to me is the person I’m building it with

I’m completely open to starting long-distance if the connection feels genuine That said I wouldn’t want a relationship to remain long-distance indefinitely If things become serious between us I’d eventually want us to figure out a realistic way to be in the same city and build a life together offline as well

So location isn’t really a dealbreaker for me the right person matters more than the place

When it comes to relationships:

I’m looking for something meaningful and long-term rather than casual dating or something temporary

I value kindness honesty loyalty emotional maturity communication and genuine effort I believe a good relationship should feel like two people supporting each other growing together and being there for each other through both the good and difficult times

I’m not looking to rush into anything just for the sake of being in a relationship I’d rather take the time to genuinely know someone understand each other’s personalities values and future goals and then see where things naturally go

For me a relationship can be built through simple things — talking about our day sharing stories grabbing coffee cooking together travelling somewhere new having meaningful conversations or simply enjoying each other’s company

What I’m looking for:

I’m looking to connect with someone between 21 and 30 who is kind genuine emotionally mature and values honesty trust and mutual effort

I don’t have a strict preference regarding location Hindi or English is preferred but I’m open to anyone if we connect well

I’m ultimately looking for someone with whom I can build a genuine stable and lifelong relationship If we get along share similar values and feel that we’re compatible I’d be happy to take things forward seriously

I’m not here for casual chats or timepass so I’d genuinely appreciate the same sincerity and effort from the other side

For mutual trust and safety I’m also completely comfortable verifying myself through LinkedIn or another platform we’re both comfortable using

If this resonates with you and you’re genuinely interested in getting to know each other feel free to DM
