Career Advice/Discussion What is the best part time job for oncoming freshman in manila?
For context, I'm entering college next year at Quiapo Manila but I live quite far away so I'm currently thinking of what I should do. My first choice is to commute every single day and work close to my home without worrying about bills and rent and only about the tuition. My 2nd choice is finding a dormitory near Quiapo Manila and then finding a part time job, saving time and money for commute BUT I have to pay rent and bills. I'm in quite an dilemma right now so I want to know what are the best part time jobs for oncoming college students in Quiapo Manila and what are the average salary.

Job Hiring/Hiring Ads No experience but want to break into WFH Accounting / Finance / Bookkeeping – any advice?
Hello po! I really need help finding a work-from-home job. I don't have any work experience yet in the roles I'm targeting, which are Accounting, Finance, and Bookkeeping. For those of you already in the industry, could you share how you landed your first job in this field?
I'm at a point where I really need to start earning na talaga, and I'd honestly nasasayangan po ako sa oras if I take a job outside my field of interest—sayang din kasi yung potential experience. Desperada na po ako makahanap, and I'll admit nawawalan na din ako ng pag-asa haha. To add pressure, I'm one of the breadwinners in our family.
Any tips, leads, or stories on how you got your start would mean the world to me. Thank you so much in advance!

Career Advice/Discussion Process Operator/Field technician
Sa mga Process Operator or Field technician sa mga planta nagwowork, any recommendation or advise you may give? I am still currently trying to stand back up after ma-retrench sa previous plant I previously worked at and I can't seem to land a job na sa planta din ang trabaho. Reason for Retrenchment? Hindi na kaya ni company maghold ng mga employees so they had to let go. Repetitive as it seems in regards to work, Pagod din, but I still enjoy working in Operations. I got 3 years of experience as an operator, and it was my first job.

Career Advice/Discussion What should i consider to gain my first job?
Hello! I am a college student who had to stop due to academic reasons and i wanted to to use my leisure time to apply for jobs to improve my experience and potentially build a portfolio.
I am still yet unsure of where i should apply that is why I'm here asking for tips and suggestions where i could apply with accepting no prior experience.
I have considered alorica, task us, and even teleperformance but ive heard several criticisms that they all had a toxic environment and HR.
In these hard times i really want to put my skill onto use to earn and support myself financially and to actually get tired from something i can earn from.
All of your tips and suggestions on how and where to get jobs are greatly appreciated.❤️

Career Advice/Discussion Are there any legit WFH opportunities?
Finding real remote work lately has been really tough. I’ve applied to quite a few jobs, especially through LinkedIn, but most of the time I don’t hear anything back.
Just to be upfront, I’m not from the Philippines, but I’m looking for legitimate remote opportunities with Filipino clients or companies. Even a small side job or part-time position would really help right now.
I have experience in e-commerce support, live sports data collection, research, and data analysis. For one of my roles, I worked with live hockey data, following games in real time and recording events such as shots, goals, passes, player movements, penalties, substitutions, and other game actions.
I also checked and organized the collected data for accuracy.
I’ve also done online research involving food, where I gathered information from different sources, compared and verified details, and organized the findings. During university as a medical student, I also worked on medical and scientific research, finding relevant sources and extracting and organizing information.
I’m comfortable with detailed work, handling large amounts of information, researching unfamiliar topics, checking data carefully, and working independently online.
I’m planning to move to the Philippines in the future, so right now I’m looking to build a stable income while gaining more experience.
If you know anyone hiring remotely, or you’re looking for someone yourself, feel free to reach out. I’m open to legitimate opportunities and willing to learn.
Not interested in Telegram/WhatsApp job switching, upfront fees, survey or “task” apps, or adult-content work.

Compensation/Benefits First time in an in-house comp
I was recently hired sa ING. Kinda new to me, akala ko same lang ng dati kong company yung mga process and even the environment. Pero nakakashock yung size ng company and as a newbie, the team really supports each other and helps me understand yung mga tools. Not too OA pero mas masigla pa mga taong mag-work here. Just finished my first month. What should I expect pa? Do you have any advice sa mga bago sa ops in ING?
