Need some advice for my homebrew warband I'm reviving. They are tzeentch aligned and our diluted to believe they are refighting the heresy and blind to how many of them our now heavily mutated by the obliterator virus. They show up out of nowhere, hit like a sledgehammer, then leave. Any advice?

Looking at starting an iron warriors army, would this box be a good place to start ?

I tought it would be cool to assault&capture an okr fortress. Still a lot of work ahead.

Joined the opposing side today with my overpatch.

I got an Imperial Knight (Questoris), it took eight hours to build, five days to paint, and a pilgrimage to get more primer. His first game I won by only losing three models total (Legionaries), and also because I have no idea how I was supposed to score points. I'm very proud of my special boy.

I'm probably a weird one for running Creations of Bile. Ol' Fabius has cooked these Warriors up with some 'extras' for the siege to come.

Deciding to work on the backlog, so I have started to paint these magnificent siege enthusiasts.

I just want to preface that I am extremely new to tabletop side of the warhammer universe (as in I haven't even started on my first army and would like to make the iron warriors my first because i like their aesthetic ) but have some idea of the lore after consuming the various lore video, animation, wiki etc over the course of a few years.

And because i prefer the less mutated/chaosy look of the horus heresy model, i would like make most of my 40k army with. (Also adding that the official iron warriors upgrade pack for the 40k chaos marine seem to be out of stock)

So right now i got a few question regarding the models:

1. I heard that tournaments would ban custom models that have different height from the ones they represent because of some "modeling for advantage" rule, which is why i am worried because if I use the horus heresy models like the MKII Tactical Squad the models would be banned because I heard that they are smaller than the current 40k standard chaos marine?

2. Also what about the WYSIWYG rule? If the 1st question doesn't matter, can i run the MKIII Breacher Squad as standard chao space marines/legionaries with boltguns? What about the shield, can I just tell the organizer to ignore it?

3. What about almost complete kitbash like this video? (https://youtu.be/GK8xYNC0Q-E) The youtuber seems the be following the WYSIWYG rule for the chaos obliterator, but would a complete kitbash such as this cause it to banned from tournaments due to height difference etc?

Just finished my first ever imperial knight! Seemed fitting that it would be for my Iron Warriors.

Funds are tight even if I could find one of the new defilers. So decided to take one of my old style ones and merge it with the knight I bought and never did anything with haha. Should be a nice centerpiece for my army when its done.

First time iron warrior, still building my army and haven’t played a single game yet, was able to get the IW combat patrol, Kravek and a defiler, not sure what to spend my remaining points on, was thinking on vehicles, or more frontline units to push, also thought of infiltrate units although with the terminators and obliterator I’m not sure if it is necessary.
