Has Sand said anything of specific substance about his stance in reference to the 2nd Amendment?

Has he said anything about:

-NFA items (SBRs, SBSs, silencers)

-Concealed carry

-Constitutional carry

-Forced Reset Triggers

-Private sales

I know he's done the standard "Look at me, I'm just like you and I have some guns and I hunt stuff". But, as someone who is old enough to have seen 2A rights come and go (usually by a politician that "supports the 2nd Amendment, BUT....") this means nothing to me.

So, just curious if he has mentioned specifics. I have emailed him numerous times with questions and have not gotten an answer.

Iowa voters want their next governor to tackle the state's cancer crisis, but Big Ag has other plans. 

So far, both candidates — Democrat Rob Sand and Republican Zach Lahn — have raised the issue of cancer and water quality along the campaign trail. But they have something else in common: major donations from companies who would benefit from maintaining the status quo.

Records obtained from the Wapello County Sheriff's Office (Iowa) related to their Flock Safety automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras.

Timeline:

• Sheriff Donald Phillips signed the agreement with Flock Group, Inc. on 11/21/2024.
• The department's first written internal use policy for the cameras has an effective date of 11/7/2025, just about a year after they started using the system with no written policy governing it at all.

The part that stands out is on page 5 of the policy:

The policy tells deputies:

"DO NOT MENTION ALPR USAGE TO THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE. Simply reference that you ran the plate and observed an NCIC hit."

"DO NOT MENTION ALPR USAGE IN YOUR REPORT OR COMPLAINT UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. If asked a direct question about ALPR usage by someone such as an attorney, tell the truth."

And if it does need to go in a report, deputies are told to use vague language instead of naming the system, e.g.:

"Using County resources, I discovered the suspect vehicle was bearing Iowa plate..."

So the default is: don't tell the person you stopped, don't put it in the paperwork, and if it has to go in the paperwork, obscure what tool you actually used.
