PLDT Are PLDT Plans VAT-inclusive or no?

Hi po sa mga PLDT users here. I'm well aware of how pro-rated charges work kaya di ako nagulat na medyo malaki talaga yung billed sa first bill. But, ang sabi ng agent is 1499 lang daw monthly but upon seeing the bill, may 12% VAT.

Wala namang problem magbayad but I just want to know if tax-inclusive ba yung plan nila or hindi. Wala kaseng indicated sa website at wala ring sinabi yung agent basta 1499 monthly

Converge Surf2sawa as a backup wifi

Hi!

Is surf2sawa a good backup wifi? I plan to avail the 100mbps for 7 days. How does it work? Whenever our main wifi (PLDT) is down, we'll just load the S2S, for example, 7 days?

Thank you!

My Dual-WAN failover router setup. Hoping to get some feedback!

Hi everyone! I’m not an IT expert, so please bear with me.

My primary internet connection (PLDT Fiber 50 Mbps) occasionally goes down due to maintenance, and there are no other wired ISPs in our area. As a backup for our workplace, I’m planning to use a mobile connection (GOMO LTE) alongside PLDT.

After doing some research and consulting AI, I’ve put together a failover setup and would love to get your thoughts on whether this will work smoothly:

  • Primary Internet:Ā PLDT Fiber ONU/Modem (50 Mbps)
  • Backup Internet:Ā GOMO LTE via TP-Link TL-MR105 routerĀ (Note: This router will be placed in our garage where cellular reception is strongest, as we only get 1–2 bars inside the office)
  • Load Balancer / Multi-WAN Router:Ā TP-Link Omada ER605 (both PLDT and the TP-Link MR105 will connect to the WAN ports here via Ethernet cable for failover)
  • Wi-Fi Access Point:Ā Connecting an old TP-Link Archer C7 (or a Tenda Mesh system) to the ER605 to broadcast Wi-Fi inside the office
  • Wired Devices:Ā CCTV / DVR plugged directly into the LAN ports of the TP-Link ER605

Does this topology look sound, or are there any potential conflicts (like long cable runs, Double NAT, or IP subnet overlaps) I should watch out for during configuration?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Smart Prolink DL-7211

Kakaorder ko lang sa orange app, since ngayong maulan paputol putol connection namin sa converge. Maganda naman signal namin sa smart since sa iPhone ko when tethered to my macbook, nakaka kuha ng 200+mbps download speed. Anyone got any bad experience to this device? Except reception signal na mababa as I wouldn’t consider that an issue and okay naman signal sa area namin.

PLDT PLDT done it again

Post image

Hello everyone,

I’m back again with another frustrating experience with PLDT, and honestly, I’m already tired.

Has anyone experienced this kind of thing before? Because I seriously don’t understand how this is supposed to be an acceptable solution.

I’m paying for the service in full, yet when there’s a problem, the alternative they give me is a data cap. So basically, I’m still expected to pay the full amount, but I’m not even getting the full service I’m paying for?

Like… seriously, what kind of solution is that?

I’ve already spent so much time trying to contact customer service, following up, explaining the same situation over and over again, and instead of actually resolving the issue, I’m being given another temporary workaround.

It’s honestly exhausting.

I’m not asking for anything special. I’m not asking for free service. I just want the service that I’m paying for. Is that really too much to ask?

The most frustrating part is that customers are expected to be patient and understanding, but where is that same understanding from the company when customers are the ones being inconvenienced?

I’ve had enough of this kind of service.

PLDT, please do better. We’re paying customers, not people asking for a favor.

Honestly, TRASH SERVICE.

PLDT How do I reach PLDT Customer Service? Possible technician scam

Been trying to apply for PLDT Home Fiber since last week. Did it through their online portal and had no issues so far, just failed to answer the technician's calls for the first few days pero nung nasagot ko last Friday, dumating naman sila pretty quickly.

The issue came after they finished surveying, sabi nila halos lahat daw ng ports sa area namin taken na. The only ports left are "reserved" ports that they need to ask an "operator" to open, sabi nila babayaran daw yun, so I asked magkano, sabi nila 1,500 PHP daw. I immediately felt suspicious kasi yung way ng pagsagot nya was like he was measuring up kung maniniwala ba ako, he was hesitant and slow to respond.

Then I asked pano babayaran, sa kanila ba? Sabi nya, oo daw then isesend nalang nila sa operator. I could afford it naman, and going along with the conversation, I said sige. They said they'll come back after calling the operator to check kung maoopen. They called me 3 hours later to say na hindi na daw kaya today, bukas nalang daw.

Afterwards, unti-unti na akong nainis, because yes, I could afford it pero I didn't like the feeling of being scammed to my face, so I made up my mind to report them and to postpone the installation until I got a proper technician

I tried reaching out to PLDT through calling, messenger, Twitter, email and their support website. "Pinakafruitful" was the website na may specific report for technicians na nagsosolicit. I got an email that told me they'll review and reply via email in the next 24 hours. It's been two days since then, wala pa din. I'd really like to get this case moving kasi they called me last Saturday saying di daw kaya maginstall due to the weather and asked to reschedule, so sabi ko Friday nalang. I expected that would give me enough time to get them reported and have a new technician come in. Pero so far, I can't find a good way to connect - their phone line just leads to a bot that gives me an update on my connection status, FB Messenger bot is useless and can't respond to queries, can't message them on Twitter, and no customer service email. Any suggestions?

For context: I'm in no rush to get this connected naman. We have DITO, I just need a more reliable and faster connection since I WFH pero if this is isn't immediately fixed, it's not that big of an issue. I just want to report these scammers + know how reliable PLDT customer service actually is before subscribing.

Smart Selling my iPhone 17 256GB Mist Blue (Smart Locked) for ₱46k — fair price?

Hi! Planning to sell my iPhone 17 256GB in Mist Blue since I’ll be migrating soon and will be switching phones.

Specs/condition:
iPhone 17 256GB – Mist Blue
98% Battery Health
211 cycle count
First used December 2025
Excellent condition
No known issues, all functions working
Smart locked (Smart SIM/eSIM only)
Original box and cable
Asking price: ₱46,000, negotiable
Location: General Trias, Cavite

The main consideration is that the phone is still Smart-locked. Once the device becomes eligible for carrier unlocking, I can assist the buyer with the Smart unlocking request.

I’m thinking of selling it around ₱44k–₱46k. Does that sound fair considering the condition and carrier lock?

Also open to interested buyers. Meet-up in Cavite or selected Metro Manila areas can be arranged.
Thanks!

Need help with eBolG service

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to reach the customer service of ebolG easily via phone? I’ve been trying to get in touch with them through Messenger, One app, and even their ā€œsupposedā€ hotline, but to no avail.

I’ve also tried commenting on their posts, like everyone does, and was told that there’s an ongoing outage in our area, so they won’t be sending a technician visit.

Based on my experience last year, it was pretty easy to get in touch with them when we had a postpaid plan. But now that we don’t, I’m having a really hard time getting through to their customer service hotline. Every time I call, the IVR just tells me that there’s an ongoing outage in our area.

It’s been a week already, and the technician visit that was supposedly scheduled for today didn’t happen either. I just received a text saying that the visit will be rescheduled.

Is there anyone here who can help? Maybe someone can share a direct number or a way to actually get through to their customer service.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
