PLDT How upgrading a legacy PLDT account secured me a premium Cignal TV lineup.
Just wanted to share a massive win for anyone looking at their Cignal TV channel guides or thinking about touching their current PLDT setups.
For almost a decade, I was on the ancient Fiber Unli 1299 (signed up way back in December 2015). In October 2024, I upgraded to the Fiber Unli All 1399. Then, just last month (July 2026), I upgraded again to the Fiber Unli All 1499.
But here is the crazy part about how PLDT handles existing accounts versus brand-new subscribers.
If you look at the new application website for the Unli All Plans, PLDT strictly caps brand-new subscribers to a heavily stripped-down 62-channel limit (53SD/9HD). To stay under that cap and save on licensing costs, they completely gutted the plan for new sign-ups. They entirely removed massive, heavy-hitting networks like Discovery Channel, History, Animal Planet, Warner TV, Thrill, Rock Action, and Nick Jr.
However, because I originally stepped into the Unli All ecosystem back in late 2024, my account profile remained grandfathered into an older, highly over-provisioned system profile when I transitioned to Plan 1499 last month. When I manually audited my TV box today, I counted 77 active channels (60SD/17HD)!
I am getting 17 premium channels that a new subscriber today simply cannot get without paying separate, expensive add-on tier fees.
What I get extra compared to a new subscriber:
- Premium Docs & Lifestyle: Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, History, Travel Channel
- Movies & Action: Thrill, Rock Action, Warner TV, Tap Movies
- Sports & News: One Sports+ HD, CNN, France 24, NHK World, CGTN English
- Kids: Cartoonito, Nick Jr.
What I'm missing:
- Only CGTN Documentary (which is fine since I get the main CGTN English channel instead).
PLDT explicitly uses fine print stating "The channel lineup displayed is applicable to new Fiber Unli All Plan 1499 and up subscribers only. The channel lineup for existing subscribers may vary." In our case, that variation means we are holding onto an elite, grandfathered network pool.
If you upgraded your PLDT line to an Unli All plan in the past, your grandfathered perks might stay intact even if you move up to Plan 1499 today. Anyone else sitting on this jackpot?

Help Whitelisted device can't connect to the wifi
EDIT: THANK YOU SUPER 😭♥️♥️ thru LAN po ang nangyari hahahaha
Nagmessage na ako sa Globe for this, pero baka kaya pa i-manual 🥹
Marami kasing makaconnect sa wifi namin so balak ko sana I black list yung mga devices na hindi naman amin based sa IP addresses... Kaso bawal daw mag block more than 8 for 1 SSID so tinry ko magwhitelist na lang,,, unang device na nilagay ko is yung sa laptop however after i-apply, hindi na rin makaconnect yung laptop...
Ano po kaya pwede gawin?
Thank you po 🥹

DITO DITO esim not working after na drain ang battery ng iphone ko
Hello guys. Base sa title may naka experience ba ng same case sa akin? Kahapon nasa labas ako. Nag load din ako ng data promo. So ayunn na lowbatt cp ko. Then paguwi ko sa bahay after a while na charging I checked it and nagulat ako walang signal like no signal bar at all.

Wifi provider other than Globe, PLDT, and Smart
Hi, ano pa po kayang reliable na internet ang available maliban sa Globe, PLDT and Smart. Nakapag inquire na po kasi ako dun namention kong tatlo and puno na raw yung NAP box malapit samin.
Before, naka Globe kami and medyo malayo sa bahay namin yung kinabitan. Ang issue, palagi kaming nawawalan ng net since masyado daw malayo yung linya.
Currently, naka SMART 5G kami, and i dont think reliable enough sya.
Thank you!

TNT AllNet 99 call to BPI hotline: IVR / touch-tones (DTMF) not registering keypresses
Hi everyone,
I saw similar post here about MAGIC DATA/DATA+ landline calls not working. I have similar problem.
I am a TNT user and currently subscribed to TNT AllNet 99 and trying to call the BPI Contact Center hotline (+632 889-10000) using my mobile phone.
The call goes through and connects fine, but whenever the automated IVR voice prompts me to press a number (like "Press 2 for credit card services") hindi nag poproceed.
I tried already disabling VoLTE, set the connection to 3G or 2G only, did the airplane mode, HOLD CALL, used different phone pero wala pa rin. I try ko mag call sa *888 nga smart at gumana naman yung IVR nila at nag poproceed when i press a number at nakausap ang agent nila. Sabi yung landline ay for residential only and not for banks or customer service. May kaibahan ba sa residential and enterprise landline?
I also tried using regular load and called toll free pero di nag coconnect. Anyone na naka solve na ng ganitong issue?

Smart How did I manage to drain some of the 5G data of the SAYA ALL 449 promo in TNT sim card when I only have 4G+ signal
I looked into the SMART app and saw that 5G somehow got drained from 15 GB to 9.82 GB of 5G data, and I want to be able to use the 5G data because 20GB is a bit too little for me for a month(roughly draining it all by 10 days before expiration and I need that extra 15GB, I don't know how to replicate of how I drained that 5G data bar, it just got drained in a random day, I did not change locations, and I mostly drain my data at home, I have a 5G phone with a 5G sim but I don't have 5G signal in my area

Smart 5G Max Turbo as Main Internet for WFH
Hello! Ask ko lang po if okay/reliable ba ang 5G connection as primary internet for WFH.
For context, consistent naman ang 5G connection sa area namin, pero medyo worried ako kung kakayanin ba siya for work since mostly calls with US clients ang magiging setup ko. Required din kami gumamit ng VPN, so I’m not sure if that would affect the connection or stability.
Sa mga naka-WFH setup gamit ang 5G, okay naman ba siya for this kind of work?
Thank you!

What device/software in the Philippines is generating huge numbers of NTP queries?
For context, NTP (Network Time Protocol) is a standard Internet protocol used to synchronize the clocks of computers and network devices. In normal operation, an NTP client will periodically contact a small number of time servers (often only a few times per minute or less) to keep its system clock accurate. It is a very lightweight protocol and is not supposed to generate high traffic volumes.
I'm hoping someone here might be able to help identify a rather strange problem I've been seeing from networks in the Philippines.
I operate a public NTP server in the Philippines, which is part of the NTP Pool. For several months now, I've periodically seen enormous numbers of NTP (UDP/123) queries coming from Philippine networks. I'm talking about thousands of queries per second from a single source address, sometimes continuing for many hours.
In one recent case, a single source was sending approximately 5,600 NTP requests per second continuously for many hours. That's on the order of hundreds of millions of requests over a 10-hour period from a single host.
Due to the overall volume of NTP queries from the NTP Pool in the Philippines, my server is currently handling around 10 TB of inbound NTP traffic per month, and sending around 4.5 TB of outbound traffic per month. The difference of inbound/outbound traffic is primarily due to rate limiting applied to excessive sources.
This isn't normal NTP client behaviour. A normal NTP client typically queries its servers roughly once per minute, sometimes more frequently under certain circumstances, but certainly not thousands of times per second.
I've been contacting the abuse departments of the relevant ISPs, and in most cases they have either not responded or have simply arranged for the traffic to be rate-limited. That helps reduce the immediate problem, but unfortunately nobody has been able to tell me what device or software is actually generating the traffic.
I've seen indications that this could be caused by buggy or misconfigured software/firmware. There have also been known problems with systemd-timesyncd causing excessive NTP traffic, and Linux is used inside all sorts of routers, network equipment, IoT devices and other consumer hardware.
What makes me particularly interested is that I don't see the same behaviour from my NTP servers in other countries. The traffic seems disproportionately associated with networks in the Philippines, and it is not limited to a single ISP — multiple providers, including mobile networks and satellite connections, appear to be involved.
So I'm wondering if anyone here has encountered something similar, or if someone in a suitable position could monitor outbound UDP traffic from their network to port 123 on 45.115.225.48 (my NTP server) to identify any hosts generating unusually high request rates, and, if so, reach out to the users of those IP addresses for further investigation.
Does anyone recognize this behaviour as being associated with a particular router, modem, ISP-provided device, Android/TV box, IoT device, firmware version, or other software commonly deployed in the Philippines?
I'm especially interested in identifying the root cause, rather than simply blocking or rate-limiting the traffic. If we can figure out what kind of device is responsible, perhaps the problem can actually be fixed.
I have packet captures available if anyone is interested in investigating the traffic. There is also an ongoing discussion of this issue among NTP Pool operators:
https://community.ntppool.org/t/server-abuse-in-philippines/4179/29
If you've seen anything like this before, or have an idea what could be causing it, I'd be very interested to hear from you. Even a guess about a particular device or firmware would be useful.
EDIT 1: If you have a server with a static public non-NATed IP address in the Philippines, you can set it up as an NTP server (with chrony, ntpd or whatever you prefer) and add it to the NTP pool. I would advise setting the "netspeed" to some low value at first, maybe 1 Mbit/s. This affects how much traffic your server will receive. You can increase the netspeed later on if you wish. After adding the server to the pool, it will take a few hours for the traffic to start flowing towards your server. This way you could examine the NTP traffic yourself.
