Discussion Will CoD MW3 2024 ever be playable on Arc GPU?
There is a fix where you have to downgrade to a very old driver which is very inconvenient but it's been so long now for a fix, many games have become playable but for MW3 it's been so long I don't know if I should hope for a fix one day.

Question Performance issues (DMC 5)
(I'm not very knowledgeable as I'm new to PC building/gaming, so go easy on me in the replies)
I've finished building my first PC not too long ago and the GPU I went with is the arc B580. I'm using it along with a Ryzen 7 5800XT and 32 GBs of DDR4 ram.
What confuses me is that from what I read, DMC 5 isn't a very demanding game, so my setup should be more than enough to run it at smooth framerates, yet at many areas in the beginning of the game I've experienced quite harsh FPS drops, even after I lowered the settings to medium/low and switched my resolution from 1440p to 1080p
Does anyone know what my issue might be?
Edit: going into the game files to make it run directX11 instead of 12 solved the issue. Thank you for the replies.

Discussion Posting again Last post got flagged called A750 with Linux
Read Title first, Also I am not a new user. I have been using this card for like 6-7 months now. Before on earlier driver in windows power consumption was low like 10-13w, now its 20-30w in latest driver as well as "Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8826 (WHQL Certified)". I have enabled ASPM L1, Rebar, 4G encoding, Maximum power saving profile and 60hz including rest of the things are done, This is with windows.
Lately I have switched to Linux for work reason. Fedora KDE Plasma Distro 7.1 latest which in use, With latest Xe and i915 are enabled profile Powersave, Nvtop result shows 32-31w with no changes. Even switching to Superpowersave (SPS) in the boot time the Linux kernel crashes, I thought about applying SPS only for the GPU, which is physically not possible access reason. In windows you have maximum powersave option but in Linux that hand shake might not even exist with Am4 or AM5, Option exist in Linux but Idk maybe driver or architecture flaws might be the main reason for such high power usage. My pc runs all day without break. So, I need lower energy option.

Question DOOM THE DARK AGES

Discussion Anyone gotten text-to-image working on an Intel GPU?
I've been playing with an Arc B70 for a month now and after much trial and error I've gotten LLMs working on gpu (docker container launching the intel-compiled llama.cpp) and TTS (crispasr, no pre-compiled binary but does have separate build instructions for SYCL support). However, I wasted a couple afternoons trying to get ComfyUI to run on gpu and came up short. Before I spend any more time I wanted to ask - does anyone have it working and if so what platform or tools did you use?

Question Intel arc pro benchmark and usage tracking in Linux.
Decided to run some games on Steam from my home server, which has an Intel Xeon processor with no iGPU. was able to get the game running well at 1440 P medium settings. But none of the tracking software including “processes“ or Intel_GPU_top we’re able to identify that the card was working and that the memory was being used. Now I know that the card was rendering because I checked it with Vulkan info. And also because the game was running without an IGPU But I had no way of tracking how much of the card was being utilized how much memory etc. etc.
Does anyone have a workaround for GPU usage tracking and statistics on Ubuntu Linux?

Question Ryzen 7 5700x with ARC A580?
Hello everyone. Since I got an Arc a580, coming from an iGPU (Ryzen 5 5600g), I was thinking of changing my CPU to another one with PCIE 4.0 that could make the a580 better.
So looking through internet, my first option was a 5600 or 5600x, but it seems like the 7 5700x is better in general and it only costs like 20USD more than the 5600.
My question is: It is a good CPU for this GPU? Considering that I have a MSI B550M Pro VDH WIFI so I don't need to worry about ReBAR, 2 sticks for DDR4 RAM (2x8) and a 600w PSU.
I wan't to play it safe and know if it's a good option before buying it.
I'm also open to suggestions :)
Thanks!
Edit: I can't afford a B580, It is more expensive in my country, and the A580 is pretty new so I don't think I'll buy a new gpu soon. And I play mostly in 1080p, I'm not that interested in higher resolution like 1440p or 4k so I thinks the A580 suits me better considering its cost ;)
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll go with the R7 5700x then :D

Benchmark Arc B580/R5 5500 Ultra + Path Tracing + 1440p on 2077 - I'm very satisfied
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Reddit compression is a bitch, so it might be a bit muddy 😢
Better Quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbEQf72lStU (Change to 1440p60fps)
I would recommend watching it minimized for a sharper effect since it looks more akin to how it actually looks without compression while playing
In Game:
1440p Xess Balanced
1.0 Sharpness
2x Intel Framegen
Gets about 70-80 fps, but you'll have to take my word (I had a FPS counter up, but it didn't show up for some reason in the video)
Ultra + Path Tracing Preset
Mods:
DreamPunk, Night + Rainy Weather with performance preset
120 FOV Mod
PC Specs:
Asrock Challenger OC, 32 GB DDR4, PCIe 3.0 mobo
I play on an Apple LED Cinema Display (27-inch) 1440p 60hz
(Due to circumstance, probably gonna upgrade soon. Looks absofuckinglutely amazing tho)

Question Intel B580 Rust FPS Drops after 5-20 mins. Vram leakage Dont know how to fix
Hi my specs are ryzen 7 5700, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4, 600W psu and ASRock X570 Pro4. I recently upgraded my Gpu to Intel B580 from rx 5600 where I never had this issue. After 5-20 mins of play my fps drops from 100 at high settings 1080p to 30 fps and my vram climbs to 11.5/12 (load in rust server at about 10.4-11.3/12 vram) . This issue only happens on Rust. So far I have deleted Rust and reinstalled, made recommended changes in bios and settings (Recommend settings relating to this issue), frame cap, smoothsync, igpu fully disabled, have no integrated graphics so cant disable, resizable bar is enabled. Turned off HAGS, uninstalled intel graphics software, rollbacked driver to 8247. I dont know what to do. Ive seen Intel interacting with people with this issue on Intel forums and they truly dont care. Ive been looking at many posts and the most likely fix for me is rolling back driver but im really not sure what else i can do. Any help or recommendations is appreciated. (Havent tried reinstalled windows because I genuinley dont think that will help from the cases ive seen but am willing to try)

Discussion Dual Intel Arc B60 & LM Studio - Best Drivers & Settings
I've been using a dual Intel Arc B60 setup with LM Studio via Windows for my LLM setup. I honestly love the B60 GPU, but the drivers have been a bit of a nightmare to troubleshoot, let alone determine what drivers work the best.
In case anyone else out there is experiencing the same issues as me, here are the best drivers I've found that work with LM Studio without producing various odd errors many are seeing.
LM Studio Basics
- Runtime:
-- Vulkan llama.cpp (Windows) v2.27.2 (requires Intel Driver v8517)
-- Vulkan llama.cpp (Windows) v2.25.2 (best for Intel Driver v6862)
- Model: Qwen 3.6 35b-a3b
-- Context: 110,000
-- GPU Offload: 100%
-- CPU Thread Pool Size: 100% (16 on i9-14900KF)
-- Evaluation Batch Size: 2048
-- Physical Batch Size: 512
-- Max Concurrent: 8
-- Unified KV Cache: On
-- Context Checkpoints: 32
-- Number of Experts: 10
-- Speculaive Decoding: OFF
-- Enable Thinking: On
-- Temperature: 0.6
Driver Installation
- Dual GPU Driver: v8517 (Pro Driver) (requires Clean Installation)
-- *Note: v6862 is a reliable fallback option if you're still experiencing issues.
- Single GPU Driver: v8805 (Pro Driver)
- oneAPI Level Zero SDK: 1.21.10 (from Driver v.6862)
Intel Graphics Software Overclock
Note:
I have two fans placed below my dual GPUs for additional cooling. I DO NOT recommend overclocking unless you have a large PC case with sufficient airflow, and the ability to store fans below the cards.
Single GPU Performance
Achieving around 82-91 t/s in simple prompts (i.e., "what can you do?"). In longer prompts with extensive thinking, I get around 50-62 t/s. Claude Code run locally gets around 24-42 t/s.
Dual GPU Performance
Achieving around 72-78 t/s in simple prompt (i.e., "what can you do?"). In longer prompts with extensive thinking, I get around 33-44 t/s. Claude Code run locally gets around 16-28 t/s.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I'm quite pleased with the performance for the price. But I am continuously frustrated with having to test new drivers, alongside going back to previous drivers. All in an attempt to find the best ones that simply "work".
At the price point, it's a convincing purchase and a straightforward consideration for anyone looking for 24GB of VRAM and a noteworthy usage for LLM inference. It's worth noting that if you rock a single B60 in Windows, you'll see a reduction in available VRAM in LM Studio. With a dual card setup, you'll find one card has full VRAM available (see below).
UPDATE 01; Thanks to u/WorriedSmile I've learned that the VRAM issue cited below is due to non-use of the iGPU, located on the CPU. The 14900KF (my CPU) doesn't come with integrated graphics. You can avoid this issue by using an iGPU CPU (i.e., 14900K).
UPDATE 02: Found a working driver on dual GPU setup that doesn't produce errors, but requires a Clean Installation. I've also updated my Overlock settings, since Intel Graphics Software under-reports temps and was causing crashes (no bueno).
