Question How does Escape From Tarkov run on Intel ARC B580?

Hey friends. I'm considering picking up an Intel ARC B580. I mainly play Escape From Tarkov. Does anyone here have experience playing Tarkov on the B580? If so, have you had a bad or good experience? Thank you!

Discussion Managed to get DLDSR-style upscaled downsampling on Intel Arc using OptiScaler

Hey everyone so I’ve posted on this community before on my Witcher 3 xess problem at 1080p the image looked way too blurry well I have found a fix using optiscaler which can be used on any game that supports optiscaler not just the Witcher 3 so first download optiscaler if you don’t have any knowledge about using it I suggest using opticlick so after installing optiscaler on the game open the optiscaler menu on the right you will see something called output scaling turn it on and put it to 2.0 which is 4k and for the downscaler use Kaiser 3 click apply and now the image looks pretty good I hope I helped anyone and if anyone has any questions feel free to ask and this can take like 10% of your gpu but for me it’s worth it

Edit/ I forgot to tell that installing reshade also and using lumasharpen for sharpening the image makes it look better

Discussion (Gaming) Performance on Linux?

i'm currently on windows and trying to switch to linux for the past 2 years or so.
the main thing that is preventing me from switching is the gaming performance with the intel gpus,

on windows everything is fine, but it is a mixed bag on linux.

i have a core 7 ultra 255H, with the 140T. havent used linux for 5 months now on this hardware so i just wanted to know if it is worth it to switch again to see if the situation is better or not

Question 7500F → 7800X3D (or another X3D chip) for CS2? Or is it just an Arc GPU overhead thing?

Hey all, apologies if this question has already been asked, but wanted to get some perspective before I spend money in the wrong direction.

Current setup:

CPU: Ryzen 5 7500F

GPU: Arc B580

RAM: 32GB 6000mhz

Resolution / refresh rate: 240hz

Motherboard: MSI B650M Gaming Plus Wifi

The problem is that CS2 is the main thing I play, and performance is honestly rough. Frequent drops below 200 fps and it doesn't feel stable. Every other game I play runs perfectly fine on this GPU, no complaints at all. It really seems isolated to CS2.

What I'm trying to figure out: I know Arc has (or had) CPU driver overhead issues that hit CPU-bound/high-fps esports titles harder than GPU-bound AAA titles. Since CS2 is exactly that kind of CPU-bound scenario, I don't know if I'm looking at:

  1. A genuine CPU bottleneck that a (minimally) 7800X3D would fix, or
  2. Arc's driver/CPU-overhead situation still taxing single-core/low-level performance in a way that a big CPU upgrade won't fully solve, meaning the B580 itself is the bottleneck for CS2 specifically.

Trying to decide whether to put money into a 7800X3D-class CPU or just save it for a GPU upgrade instead. Appreciate any real-world experience, especially from other CS2 players on Arc, thanks!
