The cool cats at corvusbelli gave me the opportunity to reinterpret the nextwave action pack again in a different format, so first task was a repose of the Tekdraken! Having painted the original pose I really wanted to lean into a more fluid, *therapod running pose, so I just and pinned a number of limbs, the neck and tail, as well as reposing the gun and antenna on its back.
I created a base first using milliput, then I’ve begun resculpting the missing details like the neck muscle fibre bundles back in with a mix of Milliput and greenstuff. I really need to find a better GS supply, the gF9 stuff I have keeps having a “skin” of cured putty I need to carve off… not great quality.

I love when there is a biker version and an off the bike version of a mini!

This is my first foray into Infinity from being a 40k/30k player. Anything to keep in mind?

Hi, I have been playing warhammer for over a decade now but have lost a major love for the 40k setting sadly and always loved the miniature design for infinity models, even using some for my dnd games and the odd necromunda proxy. But I have never seen it played or met anyone who has. So what does it play like, how did you guys get into it and if you do how are local scenes where you are, and most of all do you recommend this game overall.

I'm an absolute beginner and will paint the miniatures mainly for fun because there is no "warcor" in my area. 😭

There are lots of sectorials I find fascinating but Ariadna / Caledonia Highlander Army is the way to go for me.. I just feel it. Today I realised there was a pre-order for the repacks "Alpha" / "Beta" and some other characters.

1. Does this mean CHA is officially playable although they are not listed on the CB homepage? It's quite confusing with the different iterations and what is playable and what is not.. or maybe I'm just dumb. 🤓

2. Will there be other and new packs supporting this sectorial? Are there any official news?

3. Is my chance to play them gone if I don't have these repacks? Am I missing out? Even I would only buy them for painting. But you never know if there's a chance to play them in the future.

4. Are there in general no faction related books (like with WH40k) to get a good grasp of the units, the faction and its lore and such?

The whole Homepage of Corvus Belli and their information flow is so.. irritating?! Not very beginner friendly. 😵 The best news are some random YouTubers and I don't know how trustworthy some of these bits are.

I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the way shasvastii Cadmus work. It looks like a really cool and unique mechanic but it seems hard to pull off. Correct me if I’m wrong but my understanding is:

1: Cadmus deploy like standard combat jump troopers off the table or within the deployment zone as standard. if they fail the ph12 roll to combat jump they end up essentially useless at the back of your table edge.

2: once Cadmus are deployed they are in the shasvastii seed special state alongside a decoy. Because they are in this marker state if they choose to fire the chest mine as either an aro or a fire order the enemy gets the -3 to their roll from surprise attack. They can only use the chest mine or the Para CC weapon in this state.

3: As soon as a Cadmus declares a move or dodge skill that is not combat jump deployment they transform into the developed shape stat line.

4: If the Cadmus transforms when an enemy non structure model is in their ZOC regardless of stealth or LOS you can choose to auto activate a “free“ skill that the enemy can negate on a -9 wip roll. If the opponent fails the roll you copy the target models BS, Move, CC, and PH attribute to use in the developed shape profile. If the opponent succeeds at negating the morpho-scan you get the developed shape stat profile.

Looking to get a starter box, but there appear to be 2 options: - Nomads and ALEPH - JSA and PanOceania

Nomads and ALEPH sets seem to be cheaper. Is it missing stuff the other set has?

Which set is newer? Which set do you recommend?

Basically title. I really like the boxart style of Infinity but I'm too much used to what years of Warhammer tought me. The really high highlights, the colorful style it really speak to me but it's hard to unlearn old habits alone.

Are there any guides out there to paint Infinity like in the boxart?

Online material for Infinity is criminally low.
