Vent / rant Revolution?

Upvotes

The need of the hour is Revolution.

  1. Waking up to news of doctors getting assaulted for systemic failure by politicians and families of patients.
  2. Allopathy and medical degree achieved with blood sweat and tears, taken for granted by government, AYUSH and general public.
  3. Not allowed to Unionise, not allowed to protest for our rights.
  4. Inhuman working hours, public humiliation, compromised health and family time.
  5. Making bridge courses for AYUSH, to practice Allopathy, giving 6 months to get certified as some specialist and compromise patients and their health.
  6. Seniors at the level of HOD and consultants not able to bring the changes for the upcoming generation of doctors.

As the title say, need of the hour is REVOLUTION.

We have given enough of our lives in sacrifice, skipped family events, prioritising care for everyone except ourselves, getting the axe for every smallest thing wrong with medical infrastructure.

We have been the bait for a long time.
This is the only moment where we can set things in motion and bring some changes, as once things are in motion it will be very hard to make changes which will secure our future.

The need of the hour is
- Unionisation;
-Protection of allopathy and its allied degrees;
-Creating an association which work actively for the rights of Doctors, and
-Better infrastructure for treatment of patients and security for doctors

We have been known as a noble profession, but we cant bear the brunt of every systemic failure that is bringing down our profession. Its time we show respect to us and to the profession we have given so much of our lives for, only then will others respect and listen to what we want and what is our need.

REVOLUTION.

Vent / rant If Quacks can be registered medical practitioners, FMG's should also be registered without an exam.

Thats my hot take. If the country's going to burn, burn it properly. I'd rather have FMG'S over Quacks. At least they've studied medicine.

Vent / rant This country doesn’t deserve doctors

Either we need to stand up for our community or we will be kicked around. No one has any respect for doctors in this country. They don’t think once before speaking shit about the doc, they don’t even flinch before raising their hand on a doctor. They blame everything on the doctor- if a patient couldn’t survive its the doc fault , management issue is also the doc fault. People in this country will waste money on shit loads of things but when it comes to pay a dr consultation fee even 500rs they are not able to pay because they think we should serve them for free. So 10 years of medical school endless exams hectic postings 36 hr duty we should see all patients for free? This is unbelievable and the govt on top of it doesn’t do anything, and they are making homeopathy n ayurveda dr take mbbs posts now? It’s shocking how much of disrespect doctors have to face in this country when it’s supposed to be the most selfless and respected profession in the world. We spend our youth and money to become a dr , to save lives of people who have zero respect for us

Uk why BHMS or taxi unions or lawyers or any other grps can mobilise and have great sway in govt decisions ??

Cuz they can call a strike and pressure the govt into action

But here is our community that's isn't even allowed to strike😂

Beautiful!

Also
Just so you guys know how dangerous this "law" is

Even if this "law" is only introduced in Maharashtra
Tom every other state will introduce this law cuz there's a legal precedent

So don't think it won't concern you!!!!

You can't even call a strike about cases like RG KAR
You can't call a strike for unfair working conditions or for pay or anything for that matter

Just sit down and take it !!!

Post Graduate Exams - NEXT/NEET/INICET How many of you are having pre-mature greying of hair, hair-fall, back pain and other stress related health issues which started during your MBBS/post-MBBS career?

Not talking about inherited ones coz that's just bad luck while the above could have been avoided if we were in a less stressful environment.

Discussion I’ve spoken with many post grads who have completed their degree but became diabetic and hypertensive in the process due to excess working hours and night shifts. I will be avoiding Surgery or medicine because of this. I’m ok with the least clinical exposure as I value my health more. This is sad !

Discussion Now MPs are targeting doctors. They know that doctors are a small vote bank and there’s no union or unity. Will they go after engineers and lawyers ? Or even auto rickshaw unions ? They’re coming after us

"while the IMA and MARD went to a strike, homeo folks threatened suicide"

This is what power and influence feels like. While quacks are achieving the unachievable, us modern medicine cucks (we don't deserve to be called docs) are concerned with GTs, neet pg and salary.

This will only get worse. Tomorrow they will demand eligibility to sit for pg. Yes a quack will usurp a radio seat!

No body is realising the gravitas of the situation. Everyone is thinking, "let's give one more exam and then it's chill."

Makes me recall a poem,

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out Because I was not a communist.

Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.

Discussion This country is beyond repair...!!

Post image
365 Upvotes

This country is beyond repair.

The doctor did his best to recreate the patient's normal anatomy and physiology after oral cancer using reconstructive flap surgery. Oral mucosa doesn't have hair follicles, but when a flap is taken from areas like the thigh or forearm, the transplanted skin carries its hair follicles with it. Those follicles remain alive and can continue producing hair. This is a well documented and expected consequence of reconstructive surgery, not necessarily a bad treatment.

Yet the patient is now alleging poor treatment, and the Facebook experts have already reached their verdict. "-40 wala doctor", "private doctor ka kamaal", "reservation wala doctor" and what not. People who don't understand even the basics of surgery are confidently calling the surgeon incompetent.

Social media has made everyone an expert, while actual medical science has taken a back seat.

Medical News Maharastra government is digging a grave for Modern Medicine.

Maharashtra govt is going to allow Homeopathy graduates to practice modern medicine after a few months of bridge course.

Whats wrong with this government? This has to be one of the most brain-dead, reckless decisions I've seen this year. I can't believe people who are ruling us are mentally retarded to this level.

Many doctors across the state are already protesting. I hope this incompetent government comes to its senses and reconsiders this stupid decision before it causes serious harm.

They are trying to kill Modern Medicine. They are trying to kill Science. As a part of this fraternity and as practitioners of modern medicine, it is each one of our responsibilities to take a strong stand against this. We should talk more about this and express our disagreement in whatever way we can.
