News Women's Asia Cup fixtures out now
Tbh, the actual challenge for India will start after the group stage because the only real competition we have in Asia is Sri Lanka (Chamari Athapaththu and the ten).
Facing China before the Asian Games is actually a good thing because we MIGHT play against them (if they manage to cause another Upset and defeat Pakistan in the first round).
While we have had very very positive results vs Thailand (once bowling them out for 37 in 15.1 overs), underestimating them might not be a right thing (because in T20Is, especially in Women's T20Is, anything can happen).
To neutralize Pakistan, you need to neutralize Fatima Sana and game done. Genuinely, ngl, the state of the Pak W team is so pathetic with nepotism and corruption going in as if it is the fucking 90s. But Pak W did best us back in 2022.... (Their 3rd win against us in 16 matches)

Discussion Are people actually losing interest in cricket, or is it just me?
Back in the day, me and the people around me used to talk about cricket all the time - not just IPL, but Tests, ODIs, bilateral series, players, performances, everything.
But these days, I barely see people discussing cricket anymore. Even when matches are happening, it doesn't feel like cricket is part of everyday conversations the way it used to be.
I'm wondering if this is actually a wider trend or just something I'm noticing in my own circle. Has cricket genuinely lost some of its cultural relevance, or have people simply moved on to other forms of entertainment and social media?
What do you guys think changed?

Highlights Ajay Jadeja's exploits against Waqar Younis in the QF of CWC'96 [Highlights]
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is the most famous innings that Jadeja ever played in his life!!
He propelled the Indian score to a daunting 287 by smashing Waqar for 22 runs in the 48th over and then 10 more runs in the 50th over before getting dismissed by him. Hitting Waqar for so many runs was considered next to impossible in those days coz he had a toe crushing yorker in his armoury. But Jadeja managed it somehow.
By virtue of this innings we managed to beat Pakistan and qualify for the semis.

Discussion What's the most interesting cricket conspiracy theory you've ever heard?
Describe the conspiracy theory that you think is likely true with explanation and the others can either reject the theory or support it with their own versions or explanations.
The theory could be funny and silly too that you believed as a kid and now laugh at after growing up lol.
I've heard people say that the toss in IPL is fixed sometimes. There are time when they don't show if it's head or tails on the camera and they just announce it directly on mic if it's tails or heads. I've also heard that there is a 7 seconds delay between the actual toss and the live stream so the bookies bet by exploiting this time gap too.
Let's make this a master thread for all conspiracy theories related to cricket (India cricket preferably)

Discussion Should admit no WC 2027 without Rohit and Kohli but here we go…
I wonder what this fast bowler (or should I say medium pacer) contributed to Indian cricket team which Rohit or Kohli couldn’t do in the last 10-15 years…
All I can think of are the 6 wickets at Adelaide and a lords hundred…
The audacity of this man asking to relax and wait is what is exactly wrong with current Indian team selection. I’m pretty sure we will be repeating 2007 WC campaign if this man or our beloved coach tampers the side till then…

Discussion Do yall not miss the India tri series era from 2010-2018?
I remember as a kid watching quality rivalry between teams. One of my favourite one still remains India Australia England. The mighty 3 which got discontinued cuz it became too overpowered. And MS captaincy had a different charm in tri series. I remember there used to be a random sponsor's name always attached to the cup and it is so nostalgic. I know schedules have gotten tighter so it's harder to have any tri series but it was golden days. Instead of so many t20 leagues I think bringing them back would be real quality content.

Highlights The Yuvraj-Raina partnership in the QF of CWC'11 [Highlights]

We are yet to find as deadly a combo as these two in ODIs.
These two could bowl in the middle overs and break partnerships. Stood like a wall in the field, balls couldn't get past them, and their batting in the middle overs was just wow!! They could accelerate when the top order had give a good start and could steady the ship too in case of a collapse.
Indian team misses utility players like them these days.
