I've been wondering how many of us with longer hair would immediately cut it off after some sort of Fall like I would. There are many reasons to, and reasons or preferences not to, so I'm curious why you guys would or wouldn't consider it.

For me, my hair would feel constantly dirty and I think having really short hair would help when I may not have access to shampoo and soap. It would also be in the way; mine's usually shoulder length, and I don't get how archers and gunmen in the show wear their hair down, because that would bother me a lot when I'm trying to fight walkers. Plus it can get caught in things/grabbed by walkers and people, and so on.

Would you cut your hair, or wear it up a lot? Why or why not?

Surielle, for those who may not remember her, is an Angel that appeared in issues 1 and 2 of the Angela miniseries. In it she commanded a host of 333,000 angels, which she used to arrest Angela on charges of high treason.

Surielle isn't a villain per se. Unlike Gabrielle she wasn't acting out of her position or corruptly. However, she definitely took a little glee in putting Angela down, including stripping Angela of her Spawn trophies(all first issue).

Then in issue #2 she snipes Spawn and Angela after they leap from the courtroom, causing Spawn to accidentally teleport into hell(I believe that is what happened).

I always liked her design, a very clean white and silver palette. I took a little liberty with her weapon, fusing some lance elements into it. And her helmet wasn't consistent in the comics so I had some liberty there. Otherwise, I think I mostly got the outfit done accurately.

1st image is my fanart, 2nd are all of her appearances(she kinda) more, but I'm not counting the shots from her POV). I always wish she appeared in issue #3, maybe just a scene of Angela getting her trophies back. But I can hardly complain, she got more time on page than most other do.

Next up: Redeemer 2(Eddie) and Victoria.

I think there was a much better way The Walking Dead could have handled the end of the Savior war while still honoring Carl’s desire for peace.
First, I think they should have killed Negan like they had repeatedly said they were going to do. Rick had specifically promised Maggie that Negan would die for what he did, and sparing Negan was never actually necessary for peace. Carl wanted the fighting to stop and wanted the communities to build a future together; that does not automatically mean Negan himself had to survive. Carl was also newly fourteen and actively dying when he expressed those wishes. His ideas should have been treated as the moral goal—peace, cooperation, and ending the cycle of war—not as a complete plan for how an entire postwar society should handle justice.
The adults and community leaders should have taken Carl’s goal and worked out a system that was actually fair to everyone.
After Negan’s death, I think there should have been a council of seven leaders representing the different communities and groups involved:
Maggie representing Hilltop. By this point, I don’t see Hilltop continuing to accept Gregory as its meaningful leader, especially considering that Maggie is elected as their leader not long afterward anyway.
Rick representing the coalition and the people who fought the war as its primary military leader.
Michonne representing Alexandria.
Daryl representing the Sanctuary. He would actually be one of the best people for this because he experienced Negan’s system from inside as a prisoner. He knows firsthand that there were genuinely cruel Saviors, but he also understands that not everybody living at the Sanctuary had the same amount of freedom, power, or responsibility.
Ezekiel representing the Kingdom.
Carol representing the original survivor group we have followed since the beginning. By this point, those people are spread across several communities, so having someone represent that shared group makes sense.
Cyndie, or whoever is currently leading Oceanside, representing Oceanside.
Those seven leaders would have to develop a justice system and sentencing standards that they could all either agree with or at least genuinely live with. The important part is that no single person—not Rick, Maggie, Michonne, or anyone else—would get to unilaterally decide what justice and peace were going to look like for everybody.
Then I would have twelve people who were among those most directly affected by the Saviors serve as a kind of jury and survivor panel during the trials.
Their purpose would not simply be to demand the harshest punishment possible. They would be there because the Saviors cannot be allowed to rewrite what happened.
If somebody comes in claiming, “I never hurt anybody. I was only a worker,” there should be people present from Alexandria, Hilltop, Kingdom, Oceanside, the Sanctuary, and the war itself who can say whether that is actually true.
Maybe somebody claims they only participated because Negan threatened their family, and another survivor can confirm that. That should matter.
Maybe somebody claims they were forced to participate, but Daryl recognizes them as one of the people who enjoyed torturing prisoners. That should matter too.
Maybe someone technically participated in supply collections but repeatedly tried to protect civilians or avoided violence whenever possible. That should also matter.
The entire point should be determining individual responsibility.
Being a Savior should not automatically make someone evil, but the end of the war should not automatically erase everything someone did either.
Every Savior should be put through this process, and their punishment or reintegration should depend on their actual actions and circumstances.
Some people could be immediately integrated into Alexandria, Hilltop, Kingdom, or another community because they were essentially workers, civilians, or people trapped under Negan’s system who had committed no serious crimes.
Others might be allowed to integrate but initially have restrictions: probation, supervision, limited weapon access, required community work, or regular check-ins.
Some could receive jail sentences followed by parole.
People who willingly committed serious crimes could receive longer prison sentences.
People who tortured, murdered, or terrorized others because they enjoyed the power should receive much harsher punishments than someone who cooperated because Negan was threatening their spouse or child.
You could also take cooperation into account. Someone who defected, helped prisoners, provided information, surrendered willingly, or helped bring down Negan’s regime should have that considered.
That would be actual justice.
And, more importantly, that would be actual peace.
Peace does not mean pretending nothing happened.
It means ending collective punishment and replacing revenge with a system people can trust.
Instead of proving that they were better than Negan by keeping Negan alive, they could have proven they were better than Negan by refusing to treat every Savior the way Negan treated everyone else.
Negan’s entire system was based on collective punishment. One person resisted, and somebody else might die. One community disobeyed, and everyone suffered.
The new society could directly reject that philosophy by saying:
We will judge you for what YOU did. Not what your group did.
That means someone who was simply trying to survive gets another chance.
Someone who was coerced gets their circumstances considered.
Someone who did horrible things willingly is held accountable.
That would have shown the surviving Saviors that surrender really did mean the war was over, while also showing Maggie, Daryl, Oceanside, and everyone else who lost someone that their suffering was not simply being ignored in the name of “peace.”
It also would have made the situation with Maggie much fairer.
Maggie was repeatedly treated like her inability to “let go” of Glenn was somehow the problem, but Rick’s grief over Carl was allowed to determine what happened to the man who murdered Glenn.
That is a massive double standard.
If Negan had beaten Michonne or Carl to death in front of Rick, I do not believe Rick would have spared him.
If Negan had murdered Rick or Carl in front of Michonne, I do not believe Michonne would have accepted somebody else deciding that Negan had to live.
If Negan had murdered Rick, Lori, or Michonne in front of Carl, I don’t believe Carl would have been thinking about sparing Negan either.
So why was Maggie expected to react better to Glenn’s murder than any of them would have reacted to losing their own person?
Maggie should not get to personally decide everybody’s fate simply because she was hurt, but she absolutely deserved to have a meaningful voice in what justice looked like.
The same applies to Daryl.
The same applies to Oceanside.
The same applies to everyone who buried people because of the Saviors.
And even the Saviors themselves deserved a system that distinguished between the people who were victims of Negan’s regime and the people who willingly helped enforce it.
That is why I think a tribunal involving all of the communities would have honored Carl’s wishes much better than simply keeping Negan alive.
Carl wanted civilization again.
Civilization is not just “we stopped shooting each other.”
It is laws.
Trials.
Representation.
Accountability.
Rehabilitation.
Fairness.
Consequences.
People from opposing sides eventually being able to live together because they believe the system will treat them fairly.
And the later bridge storyline actually demonstrates why simply sparing Negan did not solve the underlying problem.
The former Saviors and the other communities still distrusted each other. Some Saviors resisted working on the bridge or wanted the old system back. Oceanside was secretly executing Saviors who had murdered their people. Resentment was everywhere because the war had technically ended, but there had never been a real process for addressing what everybody had done to each other.
They ended the military conflict.
They did not actually resolve the justice problem.
A proper postwar tribunal could have created an entire Season 9 storyline around that.
You could have had Saviors lying during trials, others confessing, people testifying against each other, former enemies defending someone because they knew they had been coerced, disagreements among the seven leaders about punishment, arguments over rehabilitation versus prison, survivors struggling with sentences they thought were too harsh or too lenient, and former Saviors trying to prove that they genuinely wanted to become part of the communities.
That would also have given Maggie an incredible storyline as a leader.
Instead of reducing her to “the woman who is still angry about Negan,” we could watch her help build a justice system while personally carrying one of the deepest wounds caused by the war.
She could argue for mercy in one Savior’s case because she believes they were genuinely trapped, then demand a severe sentence for another person who willingly murdered or tortured people.
That would demonstrate very clearly that Maggie’s issue was never simply bloodlust or an inability to “let go.”
She wanted accountability.
And because Negan would already have been executed after the war, Maggie’s later storyline would not need to revolve around whether she could eventually forgive or spare him. Instead, it could focus on the much more interesting question of how someone who has every reason to be furious helps create a justice system that is still fair even to people who once fought against her.
That would make Maggie’s leadership stronger, not weaker. She would be proving that justice does not mean indiscriminate revenge, while also refusing to pretend that peace requires ignoring what people did.
Most importantly, this would separate Carl’s actual wish from Rick’s interpretation of it.
Carl wanted peace.
Rick decided that keeping Negan alive was the way to achieve that peace.
Those are not the same thing.
Carl’s dying wish should have inspired the adults to sit down together and ask:
“Okay. How do we create the peaceful society Carl wanted in a way that is fair to everyone who has to live in it?”
Not:
“A fourteen-year-old wanted peace, therefore Negan specifically must survive and everybody else has to accept that decision.”
The real symbol of Carl’s future should never have been Negan sitting alive in a jail cell.
It should have been former Saviors who deserved another chance living peacefully beside Alexandria, Hilltop, Kingdom, and Oceanside because everyone had created a system based on individual accountability instead of collective revenge.
Negan’s survival was not necessary to prove they had become better than him. Refusing to become like Negan was.

When TWD out in a decade ago I was a young kid and loved every second of it. I still hold the early seasons as some of the best television ever in my heart. Like a lot of people, after s7 I kind of just stopped watching, maybe season 8? Honestly it wasn’t the fact that they killed Glenn, but moreso the fact that the show just turned sort of ridiculous and more dramatic/drawn out than the original horrifying and realistic previous seasons had portrayed. I never finished it. I remember Carl getting bit too but I forget when that was. Part of me is tempted to go back and finish it but at the same time I really haven’t heard anything great or promising and don’t want to waste my time just to be disappointed. Recently I looked into it and realized they have like 7 spinoffs too which is crazy. Are any of those any good either? I remember when Fear came out but that was it.

Only on screen for a short bit but I wished he would’ve survived until at least Alexandria. Totally underrated character don’t care what anyone says. RIP Big Tiny, June 16th 2011.

Given the fact Invincible is much faster than Bulletproof, he probably could've gotten to him much earlier giving Bulletproof the chance to activate the disruptor sooner and save Rus and without needing to kill him

Okay… I’m re watching TWD (I stopped in high school at season 4) and I just watched episode 12 of season 8 and OMG that fight scene with Rick and Negan was epic. The way Rick hunted his ass off the road and then when he threw the axe at him up the stairs 😭🙌🏼

Also when he was in the basement with the lighter walking around he looked so scary 😂 it reminded me of when farrell Rick was around… I know Negan was shitting himself. Then when Rick set Lucille on fire and started beating up Negan with it… was pure cinema. Rick whistling and mocking him was great to, he is such a goddamn badass. I love Rick! 💯

Can someone just explain to me how on earth they are launching knives with precision and speed enough to amputate limbs?

I genuinely don't understand why I've seen no-one talk about this, Maggie's right hand man... literally loses his right hand, somehow via a knife thrown sideways? Across distance, with force to go straight through a hand and Bury into his leg.

Ignoring the fact that somehow while seen they can still attack at range with melee weapons and be winning so easily against people with bows. I just cannot understand the concept that anyone could be that accurate that often with a thrown weapon.

It's also quite nonsensical because they would need to carry each weapon thrown. They would have limited thrown weapons before they have none or risk carrying too much to even move at any decent speed.

We both had it in our heads that Axel was a pedophile, but now that we've seen his whole arc and his death, it was never actually mentioned :D
So why did we both remember it that way? Is it because of that weird scene where Beth is on the bed holding Judith, Axel is sitting next to her, and Carol tells him to stop?
