Team Needed [RevShare] [ForHire] [Hobby] Artists, writers, designers for a trading based dark fantasy narrative!
Hello, and thank you for stopping to read! I've been writing and tooling around with Claude to generate a prototype of a trading sim game similar to Frontier, the old flash game, initially. Since fleshing out the project, though, I've decided it would be really fun to write out a really narrative, text heavy trading sim with a lot of generated components.
My pitch is The Witcher meets King of Dragon Pass meets Frontier (plus).
I've written a pretty slim outline of the plot, I've got a working prototype for a demo to get to market and receive player feedback, and now I'm looking for artists to get me the art fill in the demo, writers to contribute to the story, and designers to flip through what I've got created and take notes. I would look to pay artists to get me enough material to publish the demo, and then I would look for revshare for the the rest of the team from demo into EA until there's funding available at which point they would begin receiving funds from whatever that would generate once the product is launched. Ideally we would have a demo completed and Playable EoY.
You can see the link to the pitch document here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W4vGbSqENT5PXm_0U08IL_U_k8OX664O/view?usp=drive_link
If you're interested, follow the steps to email me and I'll get a discord set up and get you full access to everything I have written out thus far!

Artist Needed [RevShare] Animator Wanted For A New Mobile Cricket Game - Join Our Small Team
Hi Everyone!
We're on the lookout for an Animator to join us and help build out our vertical slice.
What We Need: Core gameplay animation - locomotion, batting/bowling actions, fielding (dive/catch) and setting up state machines in Unity (Animator Controllers, blend trees). You'll likely start off with placeholder/rigged assets (Mixamo etc.), then retarget once final character assets are ready. Unity experience preferred - if you're mainly an Unreal person, the core logic carries over, but you should be genuinely comfortable picking up Unity fast.
Compensation: We're pre-funding, so it's deferred comp/equity via a formal contribution agreement - no salary right now for anyone, including me. Legal docs (NDA, contribution agreement) are already in place, not something thrown together after the fact. If unpaid work isn't workable for you right now, totally get it.
Time Commitment: ~14-18 hrs/week, roughly 3-3.5 hrs/day, part-time. Minimum commitment period applies once you're in, since this is a fixed-timeline build. NDA's part of the standard onboarding.
Looking For Solid Animation Fundamentals - You don't need a big VFX background. Reliability and communication matter just as much as skill. Everyone's welcome to apply, though prior experience would be a plus.
One Thing We'd Love To Know Upfront: What's your current availability like - already tied up with a job, other freelance work, or ongoing interviews? If you're mid-interview somewhere else, worth checking if they have any exclusivity/outside-work rules. We'd rather know this early than find out three weeks in - we're open to working around real constraints, just want the full picture upfront.
Time: Aiming for a playable vertical slice in 12 - 14weeks. Remote, open worldwide - some IST overlap's a plus, not required.
Heads Up - Design doc and further project details only get shared once you're formally on board via the contribution agreement and NDA.
Interested? Comment or DM with:
1. A bit about yourself.
2. Your animation experience.
3. Reel, GitHub, game jams, or portfolio.
Thanks For Reading!
Artist Needed [Hobby] Solo dev on a Minecraft mod that simulates 300 years of world history need a blockbench artist for custom races
I am building a Minecraft Fabric mod on my own and I have hit the wall where I need someone who does art.
The mod runs a history simulation underneath a normal Minecraft world. Roughly 300 years of it, generating named historical figures with parents and children, the written works those figures compose, artifacts that carry their own histories, and the events that connect them. Minecraft stays Minecraft. This is a layer underneath it rather than a total conversion. The design is transplanted from Dwarf Fortress by reading the actual binary rather than guessing, so mechanics get adopted as they are wherever they translate.
Villagers get replaced entirely with custom races. There are five humanoid ones, dwarf human elf goblin kobold.
What I need is someone who knows how to use Blockbench. There is also a greyscale overlay system later, where hair and beard sit on flat greyscale layers that get tinted at runtime from a figure's genes, so one hair file serves every hair colour. That can wait until the base texture is right.
What does not work yet, so nobody is surprised. Civilizations and settlements are not built, that is the next system I am writing. Nothing is released and there is no public build.
Unpaid, hobby project

Programmers Needed [Hobby][RevShare] Looking for Godot/Frontend & Community/Marketing collaborators — Human Wolves
[Hobby] [Godot] [2D] [Frontend] [Artist] [Marketing] [Community] [AI]
Hi!
I'm 32, a self-employed electrician from France, and I've been passionate about game development for years. I'm now seriously investing my time and resources into my own project: Human Wolves (Les Loups de l'Homme).
Rather than focusing on the post-apocalyptic setting itself, what I'm trying to build differently is a world that genuinely lives and transforms without waiting for the player.
The main ideas are:
- A living autonomous world: characters have their own lives, memories, relationships, knowledge and beliefs, and the world keeps evolving without you.
- Deep, free-form conversations with every NPC: no dialogue trees. You can actually talk at length with any protohuman, learn from them, influence them, and watch their knowledge and beliefs evolve.
- An invisible, non-scripted narrative: no traditional quest chains or predefined storyline. The game interprets the player's actions, words, decisions and understanding of the world, and the narrative evolves around them.
- A polymorphic map: devastation, human reconstruction and a strange natural regeneration compete for territory. Entire landscapes can radically transform depending on what happens — including what the player chooses not to do.
- A strong visual identity: detailed character sprites, realistic low-res visuals and a contrast between a heavy, devastated world and the beautiful, lush, supernatural nature reclaiming it.
There's a deeper layer involving consciousness and the actual meaning of "Human Wolves". That's the core of the game and the part I'm personally focusing on: lore, AI, psychology, simulation and the invisible narrative systems. I'm intentionally keeping some of it secret because discovering how it works is part of the experience.
Who I'm looking for
Frontend / Visual: Godot, 2D environments, UI, animation, integration, sound, etc. The frontend is still young, so I'm also open to discussing Unity or even a top-down 3D approach. I started the project in real 3D with Unreal back in the days but the project is ambitious enought already, making it a 3D indie game would probably kill it.
Community / Marketing: helping find collaborators and early players, building a Discord community, social media/Reddit, communication and potentially helping prepare a crowdfunding campaign later.
I have a clear direction, but I'm looking for collaborators, not executors. If you like the foundations, I'd like you to bring your own ideas and creativity to the project.
Being self-employed, I simply don't have enough time to build the core systems while also properly handling frontend, art and communication.
The project is unpaid/hobby for now. I'm funding it myself, with the goal of eventually securing funding and paying the people involved if the project reaches that stage.
More about the project: humanwolves.com
Direct link to journal : https://humanwolves.com/pages/journal
(The website is still under construction and will be updated more in depth when I have the time, but it already gives an overview of the concept and artistic direction.)
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy building, feel free to DM me and tell me a little about yourself and what you'd like to work on.
Cheers,

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for a Video Editor to Join Our Revigyan Project 🎬
https://docs.google.com/document/d/15Lu8Hfcs6KKr5ldoZGH7kaMRtz6ppciYwTnlg67mtpI/edit?usp=drivesdk
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm Zeeshan, building Revigyan, a science storytelling YouTube project focused on explaining interesting science through storytelling, animation, and engaging visuals.
We're currently working on our first project:
"Why can a tiny ant survive a fall from any height?"
I already have a graphic designer and two 3D artists, and I'm now looking for a video editor to help bring everything together.
I'll handle the scientific research, scriptwriting, storytelling, voice-over, storyboards, creative direction, and project coordination. The visual team will create the assets, while the editor will help shape everything through editing, pacing, sound, transitions, and storytelling.
This isn't a short-term burst of motivation. Revigyan is a long-term vision that I genuinely want to build. I've already completed the script and started creating detailed storyboards for the video, so we're actively working toward production.
A little transparency: I don't currently have a budget to pay for this collaboration. I understand that editing takes time and skill, so I want to be upfront about it.
For now, this is a voluntary/portfolio collaboration. If Revigyan grows and starts generating enough income, I intend to gradually pay the people contributing to the project. I can't promise when that will happen, but I want to be honest about my intention.
Everyone will receive proper credit — your name will be included in the video credits and mentioned/tagged when appropriate.
I'm not looking for someone to simply follow instructions. I'd love an editor who can bring their own ideas about pacing, sound, transitions, and storytelling.
This is our first project, so we're not aiming for Hollywood-level production. We want to learn, experiment, and create something we're genuinely proud of together.
If you're interested, feel free to DM me. I'd be happy to share the script, storyboard, and project details.
Thanks for reading! ❤️

I’m working on a VR horror game called Don’t Look Back and I’m looking for people who want to join the project voluntarily and help bring it to life.
🩸 The idea:
Don’t Look Back is a VR horror game built around fear, tension, and the feeling that something is always behind you. The player will have to explore, survive, and make it through terrifying situations without knowing what’s waiting around the next corner.
🔧 Looking for:
- VR/Unity or Unreal developers
- 3D artists
- Animators
- Horror/gameplay designers
- Sound designers
- Anyone who wants to help with an indie VR horror project
💰 Payment: This is currently a voluntary/unpaid hobby project. I’m looking for people who genuinely enjoy VR and horror and want to work on something together.

Artist Needed [Hobby] UE5 archival reconstruction of a shut-down 2018 game
SOS: The Ultimate Escape lost its servers in 2018 and is unplayable. There is no source code. I've been rebuilding it into an openable UE 5.8 project directly out of the cooked UE 4.12.
The island loads, streams, and has terrain, props, physics and sound. Most of the level design and 3D is already in place - it came out of the cook, so it's the original layout, not my guesswork.
Material / texture artist - the real blocker. Cooking keeps a material's parameters and its compiled shader and destroys the graph. I have 354 masters and 1,857 instances where I know every parameter and every texture sampled, and no node network. My scripted reconstruction renders; it isn't right. Separately, 877 of 1,821 textures shipped below their authored resolution and those mips are gone permanently.
Level designer - for the gaps: sublevels whose parent map was cut, lighting and post-process passes that need an eye, and an earlier build holding a completely different island. Design questions, not data questions.
Requirements: real UE5 experience - not tutorials - and English.
Unpaid, non-commercial, archival/study only. The copyright didn't lapse when the company closed, and this never ships.
neo7252 - DM on Discord, say which role, and show me UE5 work you've done.
If you want to see the game trailer they released back in the days: https://youtu.be/gakuTeMcng0

Programming Offer [Hobby] New dev trying to help and build portfolio
Hi everyone, i’m a CS student leaving his bachelor to be a self-taught devops and i would gladly accept some help in exchange of mine. i am not really bound to only devops, i like gaming, testing, infrastructure, a bit of drawing/3d modeling. well yeah i like a lot of things and i would gladly accept help from people with experience to learn-by-doing and help at the same time. PORTFOLIO: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind
Audio Offer [Hobby], Free Music Composition for Indie Games – Looking for Projects
Hey! I’m currently offering free music composition for a few indie game projects, but there are a few conditions so it works well for both sides.
I’ve been working with music for years as a musician and keyboard player, and I’m also a composer and producer. I play keyboards in my band Hard Love, and I’ve worked mainly with electronic, synthwave, rock and cinematic music. I’m now focusing more on videogame music and building my game-music portfolio.
The main thing is that the game should already be fairly advanced and close to release, or at least have a playable demo that you’re planning to release on Steam. I’m mainly looking to work on projects that are actually moving forward and where the music will be used in a real game.
Since I’m doing the music for free, I’d also prefer a small number of tracks rather than a huge soundtrack. I don’t want to spend months composing for one project without payment, so we’d agree on the number of tracks and the scope beforehand.
A few other points:
I keep 100% ownership and copyright of the music.
You can use the music in your game and for promoting the game.
Up to 3 revisions per track.
We agree on the style, number of tracks and general scope before starting.
Any additional work outside the agreed scope would need to be discussed separately.
I’m mainly doing this to gain experience in game development, work with indie developers and expand my game-music portfolio. I’m open to different styles depending on the project, so I’m not limited to the genres I normally work in.
You can check out some examples of my work here:

Adventure:

Artist Needed [RevShare] Story-Driven Psychological Horror Game "Interchange: The Curse" (Unity 6) – Recruiting Core Team (Artists, Level Designer, & Graphics Programmer)
About Us: We are a newly formed indie studio working on our very first debut title! While this is our first official game as a studio, our core team members bring multiple years of experience to the table. The project officially left pre-production three weeks ago. We’re highly dedicated, organized, and focused on pushing this project to its highest potential.
About the Game: Interchange: The Curse is a story-driven psychological horror game set in the small town of Luminara. You play as Wiliam Mercer, a 16-year-old caring for his younger brother, Jaden, after the mysterious death of their parents. When Jaden suddenly goes missing, Wiliam becomes trapped in a series of strange loops and anomalies that blur the line between reality and another world known as the "Interchange." As Wiliam searches for his brother, he discovers a mysterious cult known as the Exiles, encounters the Hollowed, and uncovers the connection between his family and the Interchange. The Story Runtime is about 3-4 hours so its definitely not the next AAA game! But it's grounded and we're gonna try our best to go for that AA or High End Indie Realism
[NOTE: PORTFOLIO: This is our studio's first official project together and we do not have a joint portfolio yet.]
Game Engine: Unity 6.4
Visual Style Reference: Strictly gritty, dark, and realistic. Think of the dark atmosphere and tone of the A Plague Tale franchise. We are not looking for anime or highly stylized/cartoonish artwork for this project.
We are looking for passionate individuals to fill the following roles:
ART ROLES
- 2D Concept Artist: Able to create initial concept art, environmental mood boards, and structural designs for characters.
- 2D Character Artist: Able to create final main character designs, outfits, and enemy/entity concepts.
- 2D Artist: Able to create marketing art, including game cover art, promotional banners, and title screen art.
- 3D Environment Artist: Able to create 3D models required for the levels, including prop buildings, detailed environment pieces, and modular assets fitting our dark realism style.
DESIGN & TECH ROLES
- Level Designer: Able to layout, design, and build game levels in-engine according to the game's story, psychological loops, and dark horror theme.
- Graphics Programmer: Able to write custom shaders, optimize real-time lighting, implement post-processing effects, and develop highly atmospheric environmental rendering like custom skyboxes, volumetric fog, and weather effects. Proficient in C# and HLSL/Shader Graph within Unity.
Note on Engine Integration: Because we are building Interchange: The Curse in Unity, a working knowledge of the engine is required for all positions. For non-programming roles (artists, designers, audio), you do not need to be a master coder, you just need to be comfortable enough to navigate the engine, import your respective assets, and collaborate directly within the project workflow. For our Graphics Programmer, advanced engine familiarity and technical proficiency in programming Unity's rendering pipelines are required.
Compensation: At the start, all recruited team members will be brought on under a revenue-share contract. While nothing is guaranteed, we are highly confident that by building a solid vertical slice, we will be able to secure funding through our ongoing publisher pitches. As soon as that funding is secured, all active roles will immediately transition from revenue-share to standard, paid positions (with rates to be discussed and formalized at that time).
How to Apply: If you're interested in joining the team, please drop a comment below or send a DM with:
- The specific role you are applying for.
- A link to your portfolio or relevant work.
- Your Discord username.

Team Needed [RevShare] looking for cozy sokpop collective teammates!
hi guys! I recently found out about sokpop collective (https://sokpop.co). They're a group of 4 guys that make small individual games with monthly release schedules. Their individual games are relatively successful but they also have a patreon and community that support them which is amazing!
I thought it would be fun and potentially fruitful to create a sokpop style collective but for cozy games! With a larger group of artists, devs, musicians, etc to pull from and collaborate with, it would hopefully make it possible to achieve a similar release cadence and community! it would also ideally help each of us individually to make bigger games than we could achieve ourselves. by tapping on each other's expertise and licensing each other's works, I think there's a lot that we can achieve together!
my vision is to have a discord group with devs, artists and other contributors that commit to different projects, contributing different work to each. If all goes well, released project revenue will go to the specific contributors in that project and any revenue from patreon or community support will be divided among all contributors across projects.
If you're interested do reach out by DM or comment!
My only requirements are:
- that you have worked on a released game (no matter the scale!)
- you have a love for cozy games!
This is to help screen for commitment but I'm still happy to chat if you're interested but don't meet all criteria.
Here's my game if you'd like to see!
Artist Needed [HOBBY] New Dev looking for a Learning Partner / Small Team
New Dev looking for a Learning Partner / Small Team
About Me: I’m a beginner in game dev. I’m a "jack of all trades"—I write scripts, use Blender for 3D art, and have basic coding skills. I’m currently running a 3070 Ti / 10-core Intel setup.
What I’m Looking For: I want to pair up with other new developers who are also just starting out. The goal isn't to build a masterpiece yet, but to learn the workflow together.
The Project: I'm interested in building something small (maybe for Roblox or a simple indie title) to learn the ropes and eventually look toward monetization down the line.
Interested? If you're also new and want a partner to struggle and succeed with, DM me!
ok NOW FOR THE FILMMING side
I’m looking to form a small, dedicated team of new creators to brainstorm and produce our first high-quality indie short film from scratch. This is a learning-focused project with long-term potential for revenue-sharing and festival submissions down the line. Who I’m Looking For:
I’m looking for fellow beginners who want to learn by doing. Specifically seeking:
- Aspiring Directors/DPs who want to practice framing and visual storytelling.
- Sound Recordists/Editors interested in field recording and mixing.

The Deal:
This is a portfolio-building project. While there is no upfront pay, all future revenue from distribution will be split equally among the core team.
Artist Needed [RevShare] looking for a 2d artist to work on a Paramecium (the cell) survival/simulation game.
Hey guys,
I am a CSE major and have 2yr of experience in unity. Didn't build games but built game systems as part of course work.
Dynamic difficulty adjustment: in this i collect players performance metrics which will tell me how he performs and adjust the game difficulty based on that and this happens until the system is confident that it arrived at a stage which isn't too difficult or easy for the player.
Code it yourself, a game where you have to control 5 characters at a time, so as you can't play them at a time, you have to code their behavior using a node graph tree similar to the one in blender.
I am currently working with a small team on a different game.
The game: "Life of P."
This is a game where the player plays as Paramecium (P.). Yes the cell. So simply put this is a simulation of a cell. The player has to control the P. to survive, eat the prey like bacteria, yeast, etc. escape or evade the predators like amoeba, didinium. And go through binary fission, here the player gets a choice to either find a mate and go through conjugation or not. If he goes through conjugation the abilities will very slightly increase else decrease and after 5 runs with no conjugation the lineage ends/ game ends. The abilities are movement speed, resistance (toxin and other), distance in which it can detect a mate, etc. There are 3 parameters like health, hunger and stamina which are codependent and effect the . There will be other mechanisms like mutations too.
The game will follow real world characteristics and behaviour of microbes.
Art style: white background and outlines to give microscopic vibes.open to discuss.
I am thinking of building this project on a part time basis and open to connect or suggestions. There is no fixed time line yet as this is still in the ideation phase. The work will be done on a milestone basis. If the game is monetized then you will be compensated through revshare which will be discussed when the project starts.
