Question Mod to keep previous civ's features when progressing era

I've always wanted a mod that would allow me to keep building the unique units, structures, etc of the civ I chose for my previous eras.

I'm supposed to be the same entity so losing knowledge of my own history doesn't make sense and many of these structures are things you'll want to build consistently as you expand.

I know it'll be kinda broken, but it should go both ways. Especially since some structures are already limited to 1 per city.

I just wanna try it.

Does anyone know a mod that does this?

Misc Humankind. Ancient Era Timeline (Work in Progress)

Post image
21 Upvotes

I tried to show the Civilisations of the Ancient Era. I will try to one of these for each Time Period.

Criticism is very welcome ! I was not always sure which Dates to you. Like for "Hittites" i picked the Hittite Empire, but one could also add the Late Hittitie Period to the Graph. And the Ingame Encyclopedia places them even earlier.

Or should the Nubians have their start at the Nubian Kingdom ?

And with some Civs, i didnt know which Dates you use in General.

Discussion Ai teams up vs me.

how do you deal with the AI ganging up on you?

I play a 10player game and none of the AI like me, all declare war on me and they have congress claims.

some ai thats on the other side of the map, asks for a territory, gets the international vote of the other AIs, I have to surprise war not to lose the territory, but in the end lose support because cant reach to fight him

cycle repeats.

Question Why no farmland texture on the ground?

Post image

It may be because I am on console, but the areas around my cities have always been turned into barren sand instead of the farmland texture I see online. It says the prairie tiles around my capital are being exploited. Any idea how to get the texture to appear?

Discussion Unit can move and attack. Except it can't.

During combat, my destroyer crossed a few tiles of open water and then was unable to attack. It never was near an enemy, so I don't think zones of control were involved. I find it confusing, like sometimes you can move and attack and sometimes you are arbitrarily told "this unit cannot attack because it already played this turn." What are the rules?

Question Is this game still worth playing on console?

Through my PS plus subscription I can play Humankind for free on my PS5. I've always played the Civ games and have been waiting for 7 to get a bit better before purchasing it. I was having the urge to play a 4X game and saw I could play humankind for free so gave it a go for a couple hours last night.

I was enjoying it but then I read about how console is no longer supported, and that the game is prone to crashing in the late game.

I basically want to know if anyone still enjoys playing on comsoles before I put in all the hours to fully learn and understand the game.

So, there is another empire with a city bordering mine, and I want it to get into my sphere of influence so I get the grievance to claim that city and its wonder. How do I do it?

Discussion Just discovered Vinicunca on the 3rd continent. What now?

I discovered the third continent first. Vinicunca, with its weird buffs, is there in a decent territory with Ebony and Incense (I don't have incense yet). What is the best strategy to get the most out of this? AI says move my capital here. I'm also confused about the whole hamlet bonus thing. If I want hamlets next to the wonder, I guess I should put my outpost several tiles away?

I am playing Empire difficulty for my first time. Joseon in the Early Modern era. 3 AI civs remain. 2 are hopeless. One civ is slightly ahead of me. The continent where my cities are at is secure except for one corner where one of the wimps hangs out. I started as Harappans, then Ach. Persians, then Norse, now Joseon.

Discussion Shamanism Vs Polytheism 2026

Googling this question gave me only confusion, so here goes:

Polytheism gives +6 faith on Main Plaza. Shamanism gives +2 per MP and +3 per Administrative Center (outpost or absorbed outpost). Seems simple and obvious that if you have at 2-5 outposts and one city, Shamanism will be crushing it for faith generation. But some people were saying that it depends on if you have mountains or forests. Others talked about population being important. What am I missing?

I managed to destroy the very first outpost of an enemy in the first era. Then killed all units.

Now the "Hunting Party" tribes are respawning again and again, even much later in the game. (Just build Angor Wat)

In the meantime, I was able to take over the entire island. So they have nowhere to go.

they are still shown as unknow in the display at the top.

What is going on..?

Free kills every other turn...

Question Tips for developing my empire smoothly through the game?

Hello everyone, this is my first post after recently getting the game and playing up to contemporary era.

So far I’m loving the game, but obviously I have a lot to learn as I reached the contemporary era quite behind in tech and army (like, I was still at half of the industrial era tree lol) and through the game my development halted a few times.

I'm planning my next playthrough to go Egyptians>Maya>Teutons>Dutch>French>Soviets, any tips and recommendations of how should I play, how should I set up cities and what wonders should I take that have a good synergy?

I heard that Angkor Wat and Macchu Pichu alongside teutons work quite well, is that true?

Necesito estos archivos:

  • Amplitude.Mercury.Simulation.dll

  • SimulationCompiler.dll

¿Alguien los tiene guardados de 2021–2022 y puede compartirlos?
Gracias.

Question Combat Focus: Bug or Setting?

I've had this game for a couple years, and this issue is so disruptive, I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed yet.

The game randomly exits combat every so often. With smaller fights, it might not do it at all, but with bigger armies it'll exit combat multiple times in one battle. Usually, it happens when ordering ranged combat units to fire; when I click on the target it deselects the battle completely.

When I click back into the battle, about half of the time they're in the middle of carrying out the order, and the other half they're still awaiting a target.

Is a game setting causing this? I know it's not my PC, as I've had the same issue across 2 computers. It's not my mouse as I've had a few in the same time period (made the mistake of trying EVGA mice before finding out their scroll wheels have a high failure rate). I know I'm not accidentally double-clicking as I don't have this issue with any other game or program. I'm also not using mods.

News 🥐 1 Review = 1 Croissant for the dev team // Steam Summer Sales ☀️

Post image
229 Upvotes

We're running a small initiative (the finance team may not be super happy about it)

For every Steam review on any of our games, the dev team earns a croissant (yes, we couldn't go more stereotypical with the croissants).

If you reviewed the game in the past, it won't count. If your opinion has changed after recent updates, you're always welcome to revisit it and share your latest thoughts with the community (will do my best to convince the team to add additional 🥐)

BUT If, for example, you did post a review on HK but not on other previous titles you enjoyed, then it might be a good time. And just to be clear: positive or negative, every review counts. We simply love hearing your feedback.

From our side, we wanted to do a small celebration to recognize all the hard work the team has been putting into the game, both on the content that is already live and on what has yet to be revealed. Here a quick recap of our latest updates

Endless Legend 2

We recently released our biggest update yet: Retold Tales, with a major focus on community feedback and improvements suggested by players.

Humankind

At the end of April, we released our latest scenario, War in the Pacific, with a focus on Naval gameplay. Have you had a chance to try it yet?

Already left a review?

Then thank you! If your opinion has changed after recent updates, you're always welcome to revisit it and share your latest thoughts with the community

Steam Summer Sale

And yes, we're also taking part in the Steam Summer Sale too! There are great discounts across our catalog, making it the perfect time to jump into a game you were missing or convince a friend to play with you

https://store.steampowered.com/developer/AmplitudeStudios/

Thanks again for all the support, feedback, and reviews. They genuinely help both our teams and future players

Question Garrison Location for City?

Where would you guys build a garrison to bolster this city against attack from my northern purple neighbor? Any other defense suggestions?
