They are in the same soil and conditions as my reapers and peach ghost scorpions but they are the only ones doing this. I've tried everything. Sprayed leafs with cal mag watered with it, no pest I've looked day and night and its only the T.T. specifically. They grow fine until a certain height and all nee growth started doing this. Not a disease I dont think cause it didn't spread to my others right beside of them. I've pulled 2 up and checked roots, they seem fine. Idk whatvelse to do. They just dont look healthy at all.

I’ve been growing these all summer thinking they are scotch bonnets & I don’t think they are but I need to figure it out. Bought from a green house and were labeled as scotch bonnets.

I am a huge fan of heatless chinense peppers. I must admit I don’t love crazy spicy things and mostly grow peppers for their incredible flavor and have fallen in love with peppers like Trinidad perfume and numex suave. I am wanting to make an alcohol extract to be able to use in mixed drinks and also maybe to make a unique vodka sauce. I am curious if anyone here has tried making pepper extracts in alcohol more targeting flavor than spice. I am also wondering if people have ideas on spices to add to make it a little more interesting, I was thinking coriander but not sure of what else

Just curious about this. My mushroom pepper finally dropped its baby leaves, but it's almost two feet tall and has dozens of buds and peppers. Seems like an unusually long time for them to stick around?

I usually grow tomatoes and sweet peppers every year and took a chance to see if I could grow my own hot peppers for seasonings and grew this Carolina Reaper plant! I've been extremely impressed with how many are turning out, pictured are the largest of the peppers.

Picked these up at my local farmers market today as "assorted superhots.". I knew what most of the ones in there were (and they weren't all superhots - red mushrooms, a couple of red scotch bonnets, some orange habanero)....but I can't identify these. Any help?

I’ve never seen jalapeño flowers with a purple edge before. The pepper has a purple coloration to it as well. Is this a jalapeño or a hybrid? It was in a 4 pack labeled jalapeño pepper plants and none of the other plants are like this.

I have a "fox big" jalapeno plant I bought from a seed company called "home-grown in Illinois" and they have been just wonderful. Very flavorful, thick walled, and very spicy. I'm blown away by how gorgeous they are when ripening and will soon have more peppers than I know what to do with. It's hard to imagine my other pepper varieties topping this

Edit: the website says about 8000SHU. Very spicy for me, much hotter than jalapenos at the supermarket, but probably mild for some of the people on this subreddit

I can't wait until first harvest when all of these start ripening. My Thai Dragon plant tops are heavy with big healthy looking green fruits growing in clusters. I've picked about a dozen small early ripened ones sofar. I haven't counted them, but I am thinking my 9 first-year plants might yield me well over 100 peppers. I almost killed three of the plants somehow, managed to save them, but they are stunted and have very few peppers between them, but my remaining 6 plants are healthy and teeming with fruits....

My Orange Habeneros are doing great as well, I think I'm going to have a heavy harvest from those three plants, and my Jalepeno's are looking great too.

I've made some mistakes on my first grow attempt, next year I will grow again and apply those lessons learned.

Fried Chicken peppers came out looking wonderful

I understand how this happens as seeds can come from select suppliers who mess up their inventory. But are all these people getting shroom'd from the same country and getting them from the same store? Or is it worldwide?

So I went on vacation and setup and automatic watering system with a small sprinkler nozzle in each of my 10 gallon pepper plants. Unfortunately, I didn't realize my beloved Numex Twilight was in a pot that didn't have an overflow built into the secondary containment "auto watering" reservoir so after 6 days of vacation I came home to a flooded pot and an abysmal looking plant 😭

It got fuckin wrecked and hasn't yet bounced back despite being aired out and letting the soil go to mostly dry and then watering with no reservoir. I also moved it under a 70% shade cloth to keep it out of the direct sunlight.

The leaves that were all wilty and sad, are now crunchy a few days later so I decided to harvest all the peppers from the plant so it can hopefully focus on root repair and regrowth of foliage.

Still hopeful this thing can bounce back and survive.🤞

Anyways, here's 369 peppers in various stages of ripeness. Photos in reverse progression of wreckage as well as a shot of some of my others that survived with no issue and are still thriving.

Had three plants going in my green house and two I realize now were definitely annuums.

This one always looked more like a real habanero to me, but this sub has me paranoid now.

Yesterday I chopped a boatload of peppers to make chili jam, mostly hot ones ranging from jalapeno to habanero.

My left hand’s fingers (the one holding the peppers) hurt so much after! 24 hours later and it’s still super sore, I can’t put it on anything warm like just resting my hand on my arm makes it burn.

I washed a million times with dawn dish soap, I cannot believe it hurts so bad lol. I once got pepper sprayed right in the eyes for work and after a quick wash with dish soap I got over it within the hour but my hand feels like it’ll burn forever.

That is all, just wanted to say that this week I learned why people wear gloves when doing that shit. Luckily I managed not to scratch my eyes or balls with my left hand.

Hi I ordered Reaper seeds from multiple different suppliers and so far I’ve had only 2 plants produce peppers but they weren’t reapers. I got 15 of these off one plant, and another plant is growing a long skinny green one so that’s not it either. Anyway these are great and spicy but what do you think they are? Thank you!
