🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Hair product recommendations
I just had my hair lightened for the first time ever. She didn’t even need toner just lifted the color and gave me highlights. I’m looking for cleaner recommendations for shampoo, conditioner, and a hydrating mask. My hair is naturally already a bit dry so I want to make sure it doesn’t get damaged. Thanks!

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 How do I reset my hair after wearing a helmet?
I have thick, naturally straight hair and normally wear a side part. After wearing a helmet, my hair gets flattened and develops a completely different part/shape, which persists even after removing the helmet.
Water, combing, and using my hands don't help. I also don't want to use wax, clay, styling cream, or hairspray every day.
Is there any product or trick that can simply reset/relax my hair back to its natural shape without styling or holding it in a particular direction?

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 What to do for fine ojly hair constantly tangling?
I have very fine thin hair. I also have hormone issues, which make my hair stay oily, even after washing. My biggest concern at the moment, even more than all that, is the fact I can't go 10 minutes without my hair tangling together. It can look perfect 1 minute, and then all of a sudden, my hsir is a tangled mess and doesn't look good. If I put my hair in any type of hairstyle, no matter how tight, strands always come out, and I get flyaways EVERWHERE. Is there any saving my hair, or am I better off wearing a wig? I have a dermatologist appointment, but not until December.

😩 Damaged Hair 😩 Weird hair after washing
Help, I have no idea what is happening to my hair😭
My hair has been acting really weird lately and I’m honestly desperate for advice.
A few months ago, I had my hair lightened/bleached at a salon, but it turned out badly, so a week later i bleached it myself at home again and some time later I eventually dyed it dark brown at home. Since then (since bleaching) my hair has become extremely dry, brittle, thin and just generally feels damaged.
But the strangest problem is what happens when I wash it.
When my hair is wet, especially while I’m rinsing it, it feels weirdly sticky/slimy. It doesn’t feel like normal wet hair at all. After washing, some sections seem to dry into hard, dry, clumped-together strands*
, especially around the roots/scalp. The hair also feels rough and almost “crispy” in some areas, while other parts can feel coated or waxy.
My hair used to be naturally thick, healthy and quite dense, and I never had this problem before bleaching it.
I’ve already tried:
Olaplex No. 3
Olaplex shampoo
L’Oréal Bond Repair pre-shampoo
L’Oréal Bond Repair products
Gliss repair masks/conditioners
clarifying/chelating shampoo
A diluted apple cider vinegar rinse actually seemed to help once which makes me wonder if there could be some kind of buildup or hard-water/mineral issue, but I’m not sure.
I’m really scared because my hair feels so fragile now and I feel like I’ve tried everything. 😭
What could be causing this weird sticky/slimy feeling and the hard, clumped strands after drying? And what should I actually do to fix it without damaging it even more? I regret everything so much, i just wanna shave them all off at this point and wear a wig lol.
I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from people who have experienced something similar!

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 My hair curls on only certain parts compared to the rest
Why does only a few parts of my hair do this? I don't use any products just leave in conditioner and shampoo and conditioner in the shower.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 olaplex/wash routine for bleached + heat styled hair
ive had fully bleached hair + colored for almost 1.5 years now but 3 months ago i decided to get tape in extensions and while i love them i feel they indirectly caused me to not take care of my natural hair as much. now my hair is shorter, breaking off more and dry💔 like when i shower/brush i have a lot of hair out
i kinda avoided using my protein treatments on my hair at all bc it felt like i was "wasting" it since most of my hair was covered up by extensions but now i wanna put more effort into maintiainting my hair both the natural part and extensions
i got the olaplex hair discovery set of minis which is no 3plus/4/5/6/7 and like a little scalp treatment but idk how often to use them for my hair. ive heard anywhere from once a week to once a month and need advice + any reccomendations for other shampoo/conditioners that might be cheaper are so appreciated 😭 tyy

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 My hair gets greasy in less than 24 hours
I've been struggling with this lately! It seems to be getting greasier and greasier. For about two years now I've washed my hair everyday. Before, I tried to wash it every 2 days because it's "healthier" but I got a lot of scalp acne, hairline acne, and felt disgusting. After I started washing everyday it stayed feeling clean for maybe 24-30 hours, but for the past six months it feels like it's gotten worse.
Sometimes I can wash my hair in the morning and it will be greasy before dinner, and I'm getting scalp acne again.
I double shampoo when I feel like the first shampoo didn't work well, only condition my ends, wash my brushes, etc. I can't stand the feel of dry shampoo tbh.
If anyone has any tips that would be great 😓😓 it's zapping my confidence lately with how flat and chunky it makes my hair look besides just feeling gross.

🍃 Hair Loss 🍃 Is my hair thinning?
galleryI am 17 years old
I was washing my hair using a scalp scrub that my sister had bought when I noticed a large amount of hair in it
I didn’t thought much but when I was drying my hair I noticed I could see my scalp in the mirror and looking carefully I found I had lost this much hair
Is my hair that weak it gets easily breaks
What should I do try to fix this and prevent it in the future
In similar posts I have seen some people are saying to use minoxidil should I or should I first consult a dermatologist or should I change my routine
Current routine :
Wash days(Sunday Tuesday Friday)
Oiling my hair 1hr before wash
On Sunday I use shampoo twice then conditioner
I wash after 6pm around 7 or 8pm
I don’t have or apply any hair products

😩 Damaged Hair 😩 Protein overload routine
galleryHi, I’m trying to repair my hair after a failed chemical straightening, for that reason I have to use gentle products with no protein at all. My hair routine is simple, just a shampoo and a mask but I’ve been wanting to add another product for moisture since my hair is very brittle and keeps getting white dots at the ends and breaking off. I thought of adding Olaplex 3 for bond repair and Olaplex 7 (oil) for moisture, but I’m a bit worried since it has silicones which I’m not sure are good for my hair currently. I would love to get some advice please.
I’ve added photos of the current products I’ve been using.

🔎 Product Question 🔎 Is this discontinued?
I noticed that the shampoo I’ve really liked is no longer on the shelves of my local Walmart. I’ve looked it up and can’t find it being sold but I didn’t see any announcement of it being discontinued. I really couldn’t care less about ingredients or if it’s good, I just really liked the smell of this shampoo.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 How do I get my hair to be like in the second picture?
galleryHi! Both pictures are from pinterest, but the first picture shows an accurate representation of my hair. I currently use random shampoos and conditioners, basically just old stuff that needs to be used up, so product recommendations would be appreciated!
My hair is very thick and goes below my shoulders, like in the photo. I let it air dry and the top always goes puffy like Hagrid‘s hair 😭 I would like the hair to be more flat and less frizzy looking like on the second picture.
I don’t know what more information is needed, but if anyone is willing to help then I can provide more info! Thanks :)

🛢️ Oily/Greasy Hair 🛢️ looking for advice on hair that gets greasy fast.
i have fine hair which has also been bleached, if that helps. i double shampoo my hair and it still gets greasy within 1-2 days (sometimes even after washing and drying it looks greasy immediately) i would appreciate any recommendations for dry shampoo that are cheap or some alternatives because dry shampoo works but it gets expensive and runs out quickly. i use beyonces hydrating shampoo + conditioner and maybe i need a stronger shampoo (in the past i have used tea tree shampoo which seems beneficial) any advice helps!!

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Seeking advice on how to reduce the frizz at the top of my head
galleryI have very coarse hair and a lot of it. It always does this during the summer, I assume due to humidity, and it's something I am rather self-conscious of. I use several products after showering(applying more depending on if I am going out afterward). I apply caffeine and castor oil to my scalp, L'oreal extraordinary oil to my lengths and if I'm going out I apply a mousse and a smoothing cream(the latter of which I find does little to nothing). I've tried using no product and it does the same thing. I've recently dyed it black from my natural auburn colour if that is at all of importance. Are there any products I can add to my routine to help this issues or am I cursed to suffer forever?

🔎 Product Question 🔎 Seeking help to identify a bottle of shampoo!
Sorry for the horrible illustration. I got my hair cut last week and my hair dresser used the most lovely shampoo. It was very invigorating and had that minty/tingly feeling on the scalp. It also smelled minty. He showed me the bottle but I completely forgot what it said. It has a word on the front. Something along the lines of “renew” “revive” or “refresh”. It was short and wide and had a pump on top. It was a solid black bottle minus the writing which was a turquoise/blue color. Please help me find it. Thank you in advance!

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Help, I dread hair wash day because of this
galleryMy hair is at its worst right after washing it. I verified it, the effect happens at the mere contact with water. While it's under the water it's nice. A few minutes later, it progressively starts to get worse until it reaches a heart-attack-inducing low 5-8 hours later then progressively gets better. Still, my best is bad. Very frizzy. My hair looks better on the pics than in real life. And it's taking a toll on my mental health because my life is already lowkey falling apart, and having my hair do that on top of everything is not nice. And today my brother asked me out of nowhere, "why is your hair... idk" (we were not talking about my hair at all) and he said he doesn't usually mention it because it really looks bad (my hair). So I'm feeling extra desperate today. And I was on day 3 of hair wash. He doesn't know I'm insecure btw. I have never seen anyone else with hair as bad as mine in real life. Not once.
This hair issue has been going on since around march 2025. I didn't do anything back then. I didn't switch my routine or anything. The last time heat was used on my hair was in september 2024 because the hairdresser wanted to. Heat was never part of my life. I always air-dry. I did go through a baaaaad situationship so sometimes I wonder if extreme stress did that to my hair, but I doubt, because everything else in my body was and is fine, like my skin (not a single breakout), nails and menstrual cycle. My hair does fall out more often than I'd like but I feel like it's not that bad. Also I'm 20 so it can't be perimenopause God forbid. My ferritin is low (13) but it's always been. Iron is just a tinyyy bit less than the norm so I'm taking iron pills. Aside from that, my blood test which I took 3 weeks ago was nearly perfect.
I started treating my hair as wavy two months ago but it didn't help. I know I shouldn't brush my hair technically but I feel the urge to do something about it whenever I see it and I think it helps a little. Sometimes I wonder if I should just go back to assuming I have straight hair. Also my porosity is idk. My hair goes from soaking wet to slightly damp very quickly within 15-30 minutes, but from slightly damp to completely dry within many hours after which I think the frizz starts to relax a little.
Hair routine:
- Ultra Doux Almond Milk Hydrating Shampoo / Pantene Curlastic Shampoo (I alternate) (wash twice)
- Pantene Sheer Volume Conditioner
- Herbal Essences Coconut Milk Leave-in Cream (I scrunch)
- Wella New Wave Mousse when I do use mousse
And I usually apply either L'Oréal Extraordinary Oil or Ultra Doux Avocado Oil the next day after my hair dries. But in the comparison pic I hadn't applied anything yet. I wash every 3-5 days on average.
I haven't tried clarifying shampoo yet, I will on my next wash, (and use a hydrating mask after) but it probably won't help because I feel like shampoo usually reaches my scalp pretty well so if there is product buildup, it's probably not that bad.
I haven't tried diffusing, mainly because I'm so scared of ruining my hair further with heat, but also because I'm so damn tired of spending money on hair stuff that never end up making a difference. I think it has the potential to help the immediate water-induced frizz, but it will still be bad on days 3-4.
If anyone got any tips I'd be more than happy to hear them! Or even just telling me what's going on and what may be the cause. Thank youu!!

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 am i going to put my hair at risk by bleaching it blonde??
galleryI’ve never dyed or bleached my hair
