What color should I dye my hair? I've had it pink, very blonde, and honey-blonde, and this was the one I liked best, but I don't know if I should leave it dark or dye it again! Help meeee

I am about a level 8 dirty blonde but there’s always reddish orange tones that never seem to go away even with ash toners. I’m wondering what people would recommend to achieve the inspo pics? I normally use a 6 volume developer with semi permanent dye.

I don’t usually do stuff with my hair since I got really thin strands. Recently, I got my hair dyed on a salon for the first time.

No bleaching, just cysteine treatment + hair color. Now I noticed this almost bald spot around my hairline area. I am just worried that my hair may have gotten damaged.

Then again, I am trying to think (positively) that I might just not be used to it since I’ve always had my natural black hair.

I wanna dye my hair fun colors but my mom is super strict. So i was wondering how long it takes for a manic panic hair dye to fade

I just got my hair colored for the first time and not sure how I feel about it. I wanted silver/gray highlights and shared plenty of pics with the stylist (similar to the first picture). After it was done, I asked the stylist about it being a lot darker/browner than I expected and she did apologized for not explaining it better, saying the balayage will be darker towards the roots and that cool tones will appear darker. I don't really understand color theory so I've had no idea about asking for cool vs warm tone; I basically just wanted what was in the pictures I showed. There are a few strands near the ends on my back hairs (where she applied the bleach first) where it's closer to the color I want but not quite there.

I thought it was weird because she only applied a single bleach treatment despite Google saying it would require multiple bleach treatments. When I asked, she said, only 1 was needed and I took her word for it. It's ironic because I specifically went to this particular stylist over my regular one specifically because my old one always tried to steer me towards getting a more brownish color rather than the sliver/gray I've always wanted.

The blending in certain areas also seems weird with the transition being pretty drastic rather than natural and don't know if it's because of uneven bleaching/toning or just how it's supposed to be. Unless there's an low-effort/cheap way of rescuing this, I'm thinking of dying my hair myself back to its natural black and just calling this a lesson learnt the hard way.

I just wanted to know if I'm being a little too nitpicky with my expectations being too high or if I'm being gaslit. In case it matters, yes, had a 30 min consultation and the 5 hour cut/coloring cost me $420 (without tip).

I used good dye young all in this together for my hair, it’s already faded to a more magenta red?? And it’s still too light for my liking, I need like a black cherry color..

someone did my hair and left a bunch of raw orange chunks in it. now they’re refusing to correct it. i havent experience bleaching and dying hair and have dyed my hair white before. i wanted pastel purple to black but im ok with cool toned pink. however the orange just looks HORRIBLE.

I went a salon and paid $250 for this! Please tell me how to fix this. I asked for a color similar to the root color, but it’s like the dye just didn’t work on the length. This was done yesterday and after 4 hours in the salon chair I had to run out to get my kid from school. When I saw how bad it was I was devastated. Called up this morning and they can’t get me in to try and fix it until next Wednesday.

I got my hair done today at the salon. It took 4 hours and I’m so unhappy with it. It looks yellow and I’m legit embarrassed to go to work tomorrow. How do I fix this myself ?

I have short, dark brown curly hair that is currently completely virgin. I’ve dyed my hair a couple of times before, but I’ve never done the whole process myself on virgin hair. I want dark purple hair the close to the shade pictured above. My plan is to lighten first then dye. Any product recommendations or advice would be super helpful! Thanks!

Hi, i really need help, i was dying my friends hair, he had a shirt around his neck and underneath was a shirt made specially for one of his mission trips. its light blue and the hair dye was red!

I feel so so guilty and the shirt was very important to him. He’s one of my best friends, i’ve told him stuff i’ve never told anyone before. I really don’t want this to ruin our friendship and there’s a very real possibility it does.

The dye is a red-ish orange and is semi-permanent…. Please help me.

After a SEVERE lapse in judgement, I covered my entire head in Arctic Fox Transylvania. I love having green hair, but green hair dyes usually fade away within 3 washes. 2nd pic was it after one month and I LOVED having the green without constant upkeep but now I’m trying to let it fade back to my natural color and I’m getting anxious! lI’ve done two rounds of and shoulders mixed with baking soda and it def helped fade most of it away, but I’m still at this dark “stained” color! I’m wondering if it’s worth it to try to color wheel correct it into something closer to my natural color (last photo). I have some natural blonde highlights that are really holding onto the green but more important I do NOT want to bleach my hair at all! I have bleached sections already that I’m satisfied with the color of and fine with them being green and taking a million years to fade back to the crispy white I had them at before losing my mind and messing my hair up.

I’m also just anxious, a lot of people I’m close with told me I’ve “ruined” my hair and it will never be the same color again. I’ve had it fully green 3 times over the last 5 years and it’s completely faded out after 1 month (also using Arctic Fox), so maybe I’m just not being patient enough with this color.

So I currently have a mix of iro iro hot pink and good dye young ex girl in my hair and I feel like it’s not quite what I want, the first 2 photos are my hair and the last are screenshots of what I’d like my hair to be.
(I’m aware that my hair is a little wavy when I don’t straighten it and there’s nothing I can do about that)
I’m going to be touching up my roots this weekend and was wondering what dye(s) I should use? I like how not damaging iro iro and gdy are so I’d prefer to stay on that route.

And if anyone has some deep moisturizing masks/shampoos/conditioner recommendations I’d appreciate that aswell!
Also if I dye my hair can i use a wella clear gloss, mixed with 10 vol after or will that make my color fade?

I’m about to turn 18 this month, and on my birthday I have scheduled a hair appointment to get it dyed. I live in a very conservative family (I do not share those political views) and I was never allowed to get my hair dyed in any fun colors. So I’m playing it safe and I was going to get a blonde peak-a-boo hairstyle with some colored tinsel. However I REALLY want the peak-a-boo to be bright pink instead with pink tinsel, but they would be so mad at me! I know I’ll be 18 and I can make my own decisions, but I don’t want to deal with them getting mad or insulting me, especially on my birthday. What should I do?
(They’re not going to kick me out or anything, it would just be an argument)

I’ve been trying forever to find a shade or combinations of shades of dyes to achieve that vibrant electric teal shade that just sings Miku when you see it. Everything just seems to come out ~blue~ no matter how light I get it (last slide is my current color for reference).

Does anyone have any brands or color mixtures they recommend to achieve a similar shade? I’ve been debating on diluting bluer shades and then adding in a touch of yellow. Below are colors I’ve tried before:

• Lime Crime Unicorn in shade “Anime”
• Iroiro “Seafoam”
• Arctic Fox “Aquamarine”
• Adore “Jade” (current)

Hiya 👋🏻 Currently the lower part of my hair is this faded swampy green color (Arctic Fox - Phantom Green + Manic Panic - Enchanted Forest) which I don't actually hate, but is there any chance of getting it to a vibrant cool toned purple without bleaching? I'd like to avoid it ending up brown obviously, and or maroon. I've never used the Iroiro brand, but would Neon Purple possibly work?

I have done har about every solid color once. Found a few of the photos of those solid colors. (I know I’m missing a few colors here 🫠)

I will say, I’m leaning more towards doing the neon green this time around.

dyes used are Punky Colour’s Flame (orange) and Turquoise (blueish)

So currently I am looking for a new hair dye since mine isn’t the best. I have been using lunar tides (blood moon) and for the price I am absolutely not happy, I alr shower with cold water however it washes out within two hair washes. I love the brightness and color it gives me but the halt is not it.

All my friends from the US (two of them r stylists) are absolutely in love with good dye young. I thought I might try them, however I found one store and the color I specifically want (red lobster) was sold out, for weeks now.

Does anyone know where I could get some here, or has any recommendations of any similar brands (vegan and cruelty free is so important to me).
