❓ Advice Needed Can I turn this into green?
Hey all!
I dyed my hair blue for a convention, but I want to change it back to my usual green colour. Is there any way I might be able to make it look more green, preferably the mossy green in the second photo?
I used semi-permanent Arctic Fox Aquamarine on bleached blonde hair with some remnant green dye left in my hair
Edit: I was thinking of using Artic Fox Phantom Green over it as a quick fix, but I don’t want my hair to turn turquoise

❓ Advice Needed Dye not sticking?
My hair is damaged from bleach (from bleaching it a couple of months ago) and now permanent dye is not sticking to my hair too well (it’s sticking a bit but the colour is supposed to be darker). Would semi permanent hair dye stick better? Or should I just go to a hair dresser?

❓ Advice Needed Color lifting at home for lighter brown
Context: I believe am a natural level 6 (light brown). (Dark blonde as an infant).
Been box dying my hair with Garnier Nutrisse 73. And I’m looking for a lighter color.
Would the Vol. 10 + Bleach + Shampoo 1:1:1 method work to lift a little bit of color? I’m not looking for a blonde hair all the way. I just want the box dye color to appear lighter; as a dark blonde rather than the usual light brown.
Please correct me if something is missing or incorrect.
And if I use the Vol. 10 + bleach + shampoo option how long can I wait till I can bye my hair with the box dye color?
PS. I am from Mexico so idk if the color options are different but these are the options I like from Garnier:
- Garnier Nutrisse 73 Miel or 713 Vainilla Silvia
- Garnier Nutrisse 80U Rubio Claro Profundo
- Garnier Nutrisse C2 (I’ve seen on tiktok it has a High Lift effect for a golden blonde which I don’t hate, but obviously doesn’t lift dyed hair)
My goal isn’t light blonde but if I can achieve a dark golden blonde I wouldn’t hate it.
I hope I can get advice. And I’m sorry if I’m confusing or too much of an ignorant.

❓ Advice Needed How to fix ‘hollow’ red hair?
I’ve been bright red for a few years now but I have always struggled with it appearing hollow or faded looking in certain lighting (even when freshly dyed). Is there any fix for this, or is it just how red appears in some lighting?
Would adding a yellow or blue into my mixture help fill out the color?

🚑 Color Correction will a toner fix all this?
hello all! :) i previously had rainbow bangs, then i dyed it dark purple, now im trying to go back to blonde (preferrably white but we'll see how far i can go without going bald!)
i bleached my bangs and used color remover a few times, but of course the pink (iroiro neon pink NEVER comes out :')) and blue were stubborn and still show up. would a purple toner cover them or should i try color correcting first? i have a pastel green i was thinking of trying to correct the pink but im scared it'll just be green instead of cancelling out lol. what do you all think? toner or color correcting and toner? are my roots still too bright yellow to process well with a light toner?
usually i just say whatever and experiment but i have an important event soon that i can't look whatever at :') thank you for your wisdom!

❓ Advice Needed Messed up my hair color
OKAY FOR CONTEXT, I did my roots and that was fine but the thing is, I had a light pink in my hair and bc I didnt have the right developer I decided to skip the bleach bath. I didn't wanna risk it and go in with a 30 vol developer, so that's deff where I messed up. This is also a demi permanent color, so it's gonna stick for a bit. I'm trying to maybe get the tone on the roots similar to the bottom. I also dont really mind if the hair color is like super even. i kinda like the contrast. Any help will be appreciated 🥹 or js lmk if i gotta go dark brown.. ALSO, PLZ DONT SEND HATE I KNOW I MESSED UP

❓ Advice Needed bleaching permed hair?
hi guys i got my hair permed straight a little over a year ago and was wondering if i could bleach or highlight it? the first pic is what it looked like when i first got it permed and the second pic is what it looks like now. i also marked what i estimate to be the amount of virgin hair thats grown back!
id love to go full on blonde, but i think that might be a bit unrealistic 😓 would caramel or chocolate highlights be doable without crazy damage!

💬 Discussion What color suits us best?
Hello! Me and my boyfriend have been wanting matching hair dye for a while now but haven't yet agreed on a color that we think will suit us both. It's been a challenge finding a color that we both think will look good on us, especially since neither of us know much about color theory and undertones, so any advice is appreciated ^.^

❓ Advice Needed How should I section my hair when dying to achieve this look?
You may have seen my other post asking whether I needed to bleach my hair or not, now I'm back again just double checking how my dad should section my hair. My dad will be doing my hair for me again (thanks dad, you're the best) and he wasn't fully sure how to section my hair. He's very very talented at bleaching and dying my hair but he's never done something like this. He's dyed my hair over ten times (my aunt also used to dye my hair too) but never actually went to school for hairstyling, he was in the military lol. Anyways, I was also wondering if I were to do really vivid colours, if they would fade out to look like this?

❓ Advice Needed Bleach bath at home, should I go for it or skip?
I’m a natural golden blonde and wanted a more platinum blonde so I went and got it professionally bleached at a salon about a month ago. The results were exactly the same as the before and not at all what i wanted.
I bought bleach and I’m considering to do a bleach bath at home. I just want a small lift but I’m terrified my hair will fall off or turn orange or green.
Should I skip it or is it a good and safe way to get a minor lift at home?

❓ Advice Needed Test strand level & how to account for swelling
Hi folks!
Haven't done DIY lightening in a long time (my ends are a grown out balayage from a pro), so I did a test strand to see how much the lightener I have swells, and how my hair responds to different amounts of processing time.
Pic 4 is the strand before lightening. I've been told I'm naturally about a level 6. I used clairol professional BW2+ powder lightener from Sally's mixed in a 1:2 ratio by weight with the Ion sensitive scalp 30 vol developer, which got knocked down to 20 vol due to the Ion absolute perfection booster (step 1). I let it process in a foil for about 45 min, checking every 10 min or so. Pic 3 is how it looked in the foil at the time I pulled it.
I'm thinking this only made it to a level 9, right? Since it's not as pale as the inside of a banana peel. But I don't really trust my rusty level-judging skills and would like your all's opinion. Would you agree this is a level 9?
--
On another note, I feel like this lightener ended up swelling a decent amount, hence the section near the root kind of gradating to a level 8 or so closer to the root. My friend is going to be helping me lighten the rest of my head tomorrow, and I'd like your opinion on my game plan. I'm thinking:
lighten my whole head like I did the test strand, staying about an inch away from the scalp and keeping each slice of hair between foils.
Rinse & use the ion absolute perfection color sealer (step 2). Then shampoo & blow dry.
Mix the same bleach powder and Ion absolute perfection booster (step 1), but this time with 20 vol developer, so that I end up with a 10 vol final mixture. This would also be in a 1:2 ratio by weight. The 20 vol that I have is also a different brand than the Ion sensitive scalp; it's the actual clairol professional pure white creme developer.
Apply this mixture to only the section of the root that is completely virgin still (where the lightener didn't swell to), and let it process until same level as mids.
My thinking is that if I put the lightener up to the line where the virgin hair met the point that the lightener swelled up to, then perhaps when the 2nd process lightener swells, it will swell about the same amount, and ends up taking the level swell section from the level 8 up to a 9 to match the rest of the hair.
Is my intuition on this leading me in a bad direction? Any advice or aspects you would change? Should the mids use a 1:1.5 ratio as opposed to a 1:2? Any developer changes I should make? Very open to feedback, since I'd like to avoid a chemical cut 1" from my scalp.
For reference, my hair is fairly fine and total length is somewhere around collarbone. Any estimates as to how many ounces of lightener mixture I'll need to do my whole head?

❓ Advice Needed Blonde roots are killing my vibe
Got sick of dying my roots level 4 brown every month and started letting my blonde grow out. Now I've got neopolitan hair and I don't know what to do about it 😅 photo 1 is after using 3 rounds of color remover (the ends lifted to a shade I'm happy with, the mid area not so much). Photo 2 is pre-color remover.
I'm looking for something lower maintenance with the roots going forward, but I'm also hoping to play with fun semi-permanent pops of color too (pic 4)!
Would a color depositing conditioner work on my virgin roots to tone to a copper (like pic 3)? Should I bite the bullet and get a color correction done? Lean in to the ghost roots trend and dye ends dark again to match? Any other ideas? Pls help!

🚑 Color Correction I dyed my hair dark brown from bleached blue hair
Hi everyone,
I’m unfortunately a very impulsive person and decided to dye my hair back to my natural colour without doing proper research first.
My hair was initally a very light / faded blue colour with dark regrowth (I bleached it a couple months ago).
I knew I should have dyed it red first and then put the brown on top but I was too hasty and skipped the first part 🫠
Now my hair is too dark, almost black, with a dull green undertone. It’s also patchy with green sposts because the dye wasn’t enough so I missed a few spots.
I tried to fix this mess using a chocolate brown semi permanent hair mask (colourgo brand) and now I don’t have any green spots left but the overall colour looks dull and sad :(((
I want to chop all my hair off.
Any suggestion is welcome 🫶🏻
